A part of me died when kayfabe died. Kayfabe was treated with reverence. It was a privilege to be smart. It was a privilege to be involved in this business. It’s not because you had $1200 and could go online and buy a pair of f'n boots, and now you’re a f'n pro wrestler. --Ed Chuman.

This Friday night AAW returns to 115 Bourbon St for “Path of Redemption” and the show will feature a first in AAW.
STEEL CAGE- WAR GAMES
Hunter Paine w/ VS w/
For the past year Joey Eastman and Truth Martini have been at each other’s throats in AAW. Back in October it looked like the issue was coming to a head with a wild street fight at Bourbon st that saw Martini’s men of N8 Mattson, Keith Walker and Jesse Emerson take on the Eastman team of Danny Daniels, Darin Corbin and Marion Fontaine. Martini would have the last laugh on that night as Danny Daniels showed his true colors and turned on Eastman to join the House of Truth.
In the months that have followed the rivalry has not died down one bit. Darin Corbin would take out N8 Mattson after injuring his groin, Tweek Phoenix made a surprise return to AAW to join forces once again with his former manager Joey Eastman and Keith Walker was put out of action after suffering a knee injury.
Eastman had laid down the challenge to Truth for a “War Games” style cage match at “Path of Redemption”. Many were unsure of how Truth was going to answer after big Keith Walker’s injury. Then last month we all saw the reply as Martini recruited the vicious Hunter Paine to take Walker’s place in the War Games. Paine made quite an impact destroying Tweek Phoenix and Marion Fontaine.
Now the stage is set to finish this issue once and for all inside a steel cage. Two men start and after a coin toss every five minutes thereafter a new combatant enters giving one side an advantage throughout the match. Once all six men are in it will be a fight to the finish as either Truth Martini or Joey Eastman guide their men to victory. Needless to say expect a bloody and brutal affair in this one.

Jerry "The King" Lawler's flight has just been canceled due to the weather and the next available flight wouldn't put him in Chicago until after the event. AAW and Jerry Lawler apoligize for this situation. Refunds will be avialable at the door if you do not want to stay for the event.

Also, if you haven't seen it already, my latest Pro Wrestling Extra article on my Elaborating on Entertainment blog features AAW's Phil Colvin talking about Path of Redemption on 2/24 with Jerry "The King" Lawler in Merrionette Park. You can check out the blog article at the following link, where I hope you will leave a comment:
A few notes about using the "Leave a comment" feature on the blog:
-- While there is a field asking you to provide your e-mail address, that e-mail address will not be shown to the public once your comment is posted.
-- The grey Captcha box sometimes trips up people because it's hard to see and very particular about the characters being typed in exactly. To be on the safe side, you should copy your text elsewhere before hitting the Submit button in case the Captcha kicks out your comment.
-- If you've used the "Leave a comment" feature correctly, you'll get a message saying that your submission is pending approval. Note: I approve all non-spam comments as soon as I see they have been submitted.
Feel free to pass along the links to others who you think might want to share their comments about this topic.
