Good luck getting a sign advertising CPW.com on the air tonight. Anytime I've been to RAW or a PPV in the past few years, security has always taken signs advertising anything with ".com" on it.

That is why everytime this subject comes up I challenge people going to the show to be creative:
Bring BLANK SIGNS & MARKERS to the show and make your signs at your seats.
PICK YOUR SPOTS. I've seen plenty of ''.com'' signs before...maybe just once because security got to them BUT one time is all we need. Watch for that hard camera panning your direction. Look up at the Titantron and look for opportunities.
A long glance of our URL on TV is the objective but just WALKING AROUND in front of your section and letting people see it can bring an influx of new local fans here. Going to the bathroom or concession stand with you CPW.com sign can also benefit this place.
People won't show up if they don't know we're here.
There are tons of creative ways to make wrestling fans aware of this place. The reason for going through all of the hassle is that we want local fans (IE - paying customers) to come to our LOCAL SHOWS for their wrestling fix once WWE leaves town.
Ask yourselves these questions:
How many people will show up to RAW tonight? How many of those people might be willing to check out a local show 10-15 miles from their house for only 10 bucks between seeing the CPW.com URL tonight at the show and the next time WWE comes to town?

So what was the deal with there being no main event after the taping went off the air..?

They probably stopped the show because of Vince's condition. I wouldn't be able to perform after my boss was viciously attacked

there was......
they announced there would be, then announced there wasn't a minute after. 2 minutes later cena runs down to the ring and says that Chicago deserved the main event that was advertised. Therefore Chris Jericho came to the ring and they had a good street fight which Cena won.

the whole situation was very confusing but it was a really fun match to give the fans that were still there

and Cena cut a nice little promo after the show putting Chicago over as a great city to wrestle in. Overall it was a well done show and the confusion after the show really was fun to see.

I'm surprised that Cena got the pop that he did for the contract signing

I usually wait after events at the Allstate Arena until the ushers say it's time to go, so I don't have to deal with all the crowds rushing out and packing the lobby, stairwells and hallways.
It was indeed confusing, though, when it seemed like everything was over, then back on, then not on and finally on. Leave it to WWE to blur the lines between kayfabe and reality to the point where people thought the show was over before it really was.
I did find it interesting how not only John Cena but even Ricky Ortiz seemed extra grateful to Chicago for its support. It made me wonder if the crowds here really are much more supportive than some of the other towns that WWE might tour in.
Anyone have any perspective on that from seeing WWE shows in other markets?

Ricky Ortiz was bland. my first time seeing him last night. He didn't acknowledge that there was a crowd there at all during his match until the finish. He worked like he was a heel too, not a face

Ricky Ortiz can easily be turned heel by just running the full-of-himself story line.
I chalk up Ortiz not engaging the crowd until the match was over to him still being green. Experienced wrestlers try to make every match count and care just as much about putting over their opponents as they do about putting themselves over.
Granted, Ortiz's opponent was a jobber, but Ortiz didn't have to wrestle the match as if him winning was a foregone conclusion. Then again, I haven't been excited about Ortiz since he came on the scene, so I probably wouldn't dig anything he does.
