There were several reasons that went into the postponement.
Mainly that Ian and Mickie will not be returning from Rollin's funeral until tomorrow and with everything that has gone on this week, emotionally we just wouldn't be ready to do a show in Bellevue on Friday.
We will still hold the show in Joliet on the 3rd since it is by our homes and we didn't want to postpone two shows on the wrestlers.

Understandable. Thanks for the clarification. I honestly didn't even think about that. Thanks again.

Friday night, January 23, 2009 The Bellevue Plaza 325 Bellevue Avenue Bellevue, IL 8 pm belltime Tickets: $15 ringside & $10 bleachers
IWA Mid-South World Heavyweight Title
Dingo vs. Jimmy Jacobs
This title shot was going to go to Ian Rotten on the original date of the show. At the Jan. 3 Joliet show, Ian gave his title shot to Jimmy Jacobs and said that if it was Jimmy's destiny to regain the title and rectify the mistakes of the past...then it was time for it happen. Jim Fannin didn't feel the same way and almost had heart failure on the stage and swore that he wouldn't let it happen. Will Jimmy fulfill his destiny or does destiny have other plans for Jimmy Jacobs?
Battle of TNA Knockouts Mickie Knuckles vs. Payton Banks a.k.a. Rain
Mickie and Rain have a long history in IWA Mid-South. They had a series of great matches back in 2005 that saw Mickie on the winning side more times than not. In 2004, Rain was able control the feud. It has been a couple of years since these two have tangled but there is still no love lost between them. Will Mickie run roughshot over Rain or will Rain use her beauty and her brains to distract the referee and get a victory over the Redneck Woman? Mickie will be at a disadvantage due to her recovering broken leg but she won't use that as an excuse. Be in Bellevue to see who the better TNA Knockout is and perhaps the winner will be one step closer to returning to TNA?
DAVID vs. GOLIATH Ricochet vs. The Necro Butcher
Ricochet is one of the top high flyers in IWA. However, he probably only weighs in at about 175 pounds. Necro is going to have at least a 100 pound weight advantage. Can Ricochet use his quickness and aerial ability to stay away from the madman known for destroying his opponents? Will Necro use his size and strength to ground Ricochet and beat him to a pulp? This is the ultimate styles clash matchup in IWA and it could very well be the last time that Ricochet ever steps into a ring if he can't stay away from the Necro Butcher.
Heavyweight Title Contenders Match
"New Horror" Sami Callihan vs. Tyler Black
Sami Callihan's new year resolution is to prove to everyone by the end of 2009 that HE is the franchise and the future of IWA. He desperately wants to be thought of as the Chris Hero of 2000 - 2004 in IWA history. The guy that can do it all and wrestle anyone and not only win but win over the fans as well. He's been a finalist in TPI, Strong Style and Candido Cup. He's gotten victories in Double Death and over Mickie Knuckles and Ian Rotten. The next thing on his checklist is to beat up a former IWA Mid-South light heavyweight champion with tremendous hype and fanfare on the internet. Can Sami top the MTV, ROH star or does he still have more to accomplish before establishing himself as the franchise?
Light Heavyweight Contenders Positioning Match
Trik Davis vs. Shane Hollister
Shane Hollister will be making his IWA Mid-South debut and he has drawn a very tough customer in Trikory Davis. While a victory in his debut won't guarantee him a title shot, it will go a long way in guaranteeing that he returns to IWA and that he will be taken seriously. If Trik wins, whether by hook or by crook, the former IWA heavyweight champion could see himself in title contention for the light heavyweight title. Hollister has a lot of good press and hype behind him coming in to IWA. Will he fold under the pressure or will we have another young rising star in the IWA ranks in 2009?
Also appearing on the show:
Egotistico Fantastico
Ian & Axl Rotten - The Bad Breed
Jason Hades
Much much more.
Stay tuned to the message board for further updates.

Ali is going to be doing a different show that night.
That is why that match is no longer listed in the writeup.

I have never been to an IWA show, would you recommend bringing kids? Is there an age recommendation?

I have never been to an IWA show, would you recommend bringing kids? Is there an age recommendation? you should be fine. Bad Breed is the only thing that might cause some blood but i think they're toning it down now.

The majority of our crowd at the first Bellevue show was little kids and the show was toned accordingly and all the little kids had a blast.

1.We were the ones that brought the big group of kids, all ten of them. 2. We told them all on the way to the show not to expect what they've seen on dvd, but being the first show in a new venue to expect a "toned-down" show-hell they wanted to see a traditional IWA-Midsouth show. They were the ones that started the "we want blood" chants, of course if it wasn't for them-it would of been very quiet that night. 3.The age group ranged from 9-17, not all little kids. 4. The only shows I WON'T take the younger(under 12) ones to are shows where lighttubes will be expected-for the risk of injury. Our three wanted barbedwire and tacks, not to mention blood, the two boys were at the 12th Ann. Show, and loved the Barbedwire Madness match. 5.They all want to go to a deathmatch tournament one day-so please do not change the content of the shows that you bring in to Bellevue because of OUR kids. 6.Professional Wrestling is violent-shoot or work, period. If we wanted toned-down shows, we'd take them to WWE shows-but they love IWA, something more realistic and "in your face" than "T.V. wrestling". 7.And before anyone says anything, all the parents were told what kind of shows IWA is capable of doing, and they were fine with it. REMEMBER, THERE WERE TWO LITTLE KIDS SITTING FRONT ROW RINGSIDE AT KINGS OF THE CRIMSON MASK AND WE KNOW IT WASN'T TONED DOWN A BIT. 8.Most of the kids we brought that night live in real bad areas where the violence is 100% real, bullets flying on a nightly basis, you know, where you might walk down the street to a friend's and never come home, so I don't think there is much that they can see at a show that will bother them in the least. 9.As far as I'm concerned, as long as the kids have a rudimentry understanding of what they are seeing at a show, they should be fine-but kids that may have lead sheltered lives or are under the age of 12 may have a problems with the amount of violence they may see. My suggestion is to let them see a few shows on dvd or tape and see how they respond.

I didn't get caught on anything. I know what a troll is especially after all these years. I also know that I just finished reading Chris Jericho's book and I absolutely love his calling people "junior" in his book when he wanted to be an ass and how he did the "I will neeeeeeeeveeeeeeeeeeeeeer eeeeeeeeeeevvvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrr" do something again.
So the last couple of weeks, any time I get an opportunity to use the term "junior" in a post and do the never ever, I will do it...troll or no troll. It is just too good of an opportunity to pass up.
