Boz Looks much different, almost unrecognizable since the days of him spending the weekends with us in our dekalb crib.

This Saturday January 24th, AAW starts off 2009 with another huge event as we present "Path of Redemption". As the new year begins everyone on the AAW roster is looking to move up into title contention and some big match ups have already been announced. Let's take a closer look at the card. AAW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLEVSDAVEY RICHARDSAfter a tremendous 2008, AAW champion Tyler Black starts the year with a tremendous challenge as he takes on a ruthless opponent in Davey Richards. Richards storms into AAW negotiating a title shot in his debut due to his reputation in the United States and across the globe for such organizations as ROH, PWG and Pro Wrestling NOAH. Known for his hard hitting strikes and wide array of effective submissions, Davey Richards poses a number of problems for the champion. He's come to AAW to take on the very best and he will get just that in a few short days when Tyler Black once again puts the coveted AAW title on the line. FANS BRING THE WEAPONSVSA grudge match that has been building for months as these two men were once associates but are now bitter rivals. Ryan Boz has questioned Jimmy Jacobs passion and killer instinct and Jacobs has replied by taking the fight right to the big man on many occasions. This one will not be for the weak at heart as the stipulation states the fans will supply the weapons for this no disqualification war. Can Jacobs once again prove that he has the heart and the guts to survive this kind of environment or will Ryan Boz continue his path of destruction? Expect a riot like atmosphere in the Eagles Club for this one. AAW HERITAGE TITLE- TRIPLE THREAT MATCHVSVSThree of the top competitors in AAW square off with the prestigious Heritage Title at stake. After Shane Hollister mistakenly cost Mdogg his shot at the belt in November the two challengers squared off in a #1 contenders match last month. After going to a time limit draw AAW owner Jim Lynam determined the only fair resolution was to make this match a triple threat. The champion Arik Cannon goes into this big match without the services of Joey Eastman who was banished form AAW at the end of 2008. Both Cross and Hollister are hungry for gold and this may very well be one of the most exciting triple threat matches in AAW history. GRUDGE MATCHVSThe conniving Chandler McClure had been trying to get former Heritage champion Krotch to believe the two were friends for months in hopes of getting a shot at the title. Once Krotch lost the belt and was unsuccessful in his attempts to regain it McClure's tune changed quickly. Since then Chandler and his prtoge Jordan McEntyre have been a thorn in the youngsters side attacking him from behind and threatening his sister Nikki. Now these two men finally meet one on one with not just a personal issue at stake but also a chance to move up the very competitive AAW rankings. I feel bad for those that have worked hard to climb the ladder in AAW only to have a newcomer get a title shot. Poppycock I say.
Then again it comes with the territory when Tyler Black is your champ.

Here is a breakdown of the top ten going into Saturday and you can see why Davey got a title shot.
1. Arik Cannon - already booked against Hollister and Cross
2. Silas Young - pulled off of the show
3. Ryan Boz - already booked against Jacobs
4. Josh Raymond - has an open tag team contract with HOT
5. Jimmy Jacobs - already booked against Boz
6. Matt Cross - already booked against Hollister and Cannon
7. Danny Daniels - was on a long losing streak and hasn't beaten enough ranked opponents to earn a title shot.
8. Shane Hollister - already booked against Cannon and Cross
9. Krotch - already booked against McClure
10. Chandler McClure - already booked against Krotch
Saturday is going to be a busy night for the top 10.

I feel bad for those that have worked hard to climb the ladder in AAW only to have a newcomer get a title shot. Poppycock I say. I'm sure if they air that video or some video putting Davey over to the AAW crowd, then maybe they won't mind Davey getting a shot. But yeah, Tyler vs. Davey sounds boss.
