I got to meet Hogan (and Jimmy Hart) back in '99/2000 (I was about 16) for free. Jimmy Hart had been signing autographs to promote the new WCW CD "Mayhem" that had just come out and Hogan in 2000 was signing to promote Spring Stampede tickets.
Hogan is/was/always will be my favorite wrestler so it was so freakin' cool to meet him even if it was for only like 30 seconds and there were no pictures allowed.
However, few years later I ended up moving and on the move I some how lost my wrestling autograph collection (Hogan's, Hart's and Piper's). Ugh... that sucked so much. I thought about buying another Hogan autograph from ebay or one of those autograph stores but it just wouldn't be the same as actually meeting him. I thought the chances of him coming back out this way were slim but now he's coming back for this AND he's going to be here in October signing copies of his book at Borders on Michigan Ave. (I just met Denis Leary there a few months ago).
Now I'm not sure which one to go to. If I go to the one in July it's $100 but it's also Hogan AND Jimmy Hart along with The Nasty Boys, Beefcake and Valentine. It seems like the one in July will also allow more time to talk to Hogan and get a picture taken where as the one in October will probably be rushed. By October who knows if he'll even show up since it's such a long way from now.
But man I'm just so freakin' excited to be able to meet him again. It sucked so much losing his autograph and now to meet him and get a picture taken with him is going to be so sweet.

and there were no pictures allowed. Obviously, he didn't want you to capture his soul.

I have a question. One of my best friends is interested in the meet and greet but doesn't want to watch the show.
If you get the $99 meet & greet, do you have to buy a ticket for the show too? Is the meet & greet early enough to where he can just go to it and leave without having a ticket for the actual show as well?

Since there are separate tickets being sold on Ticketmaster for the autograph signing and the actual wrestling show, it stands to reason you could just attend the autograph event and skip the wrestling show. Last time I looked, the autograph signing starts at 2PM, so those who arrive early enough should have no problem heading home before the matches start.

Yeah it's a seperate event. The autograph session is from 2-6 and then you can choose to buy another ticket to the event that night.
They should at least include the event with the tickets.

It would have been nice to have had a package deal for both the signings and the actual show. Can't see why anyone wouldn't want to do both. This is a very good card chalked with legends that you don't get to see all the time.

Yeah, how much are seperate autographs? I want an 8x10 (which I'm assuming they'll provide there) and just one drawing that I have of Hogan (my friend drew this awesome picture years ago) that I want to get signed. Will he charge for that?

Given the Hulkster's financial needs discussed earler, I can't envision him giving any freebies (at a show out east, I believe he charged an extra $25 to personalize any autograph). HOWEVER, he just might be generous to anyone who was wearing a t-shirt with "F**k Charlie Hill" on the front, or some similar message of disapproval for Linda's new boy toy.

Most sports guys at autograph shoes charge extra for anything besides the autograph. For instance if you want a guy to put "HOF '88" next to his name more then likely it will cost you extra. If its just a signing with one guy ususally they won't charge extra for that but any of the bigger shoes they do charge extra usually. Yep its a total racket.

Not to be a killjoy, but I wouldn't assume they will have pictures to be signed. you might want to bring something. I have no idea either way, but best not take a chance DC

Anybody want to venture a guess as to what the gate will have to be for them to even break even on the signing and card that day?
