Is Marco Cordova still with AAW? I saw him back a couple of shows ago and was very impressed. Wrestling and looks have gone up a lot. Was he one and done?

This Friday night AAW returns home to the Berwyn Eagles Club for our last event of the summer “Reign of Violence”. The show starts the road to the “Windy City Classic VIII” in November and will feature a number of matches with huge title implications. This week we’ll take a closer look at the card. SILAS YOUNG DEFENDS THE AAW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE After escaping “Scars and Stripes” with his AAW Heavyweight Title last month Silas Young’s confidence seems to be at an all time high. How can you blame him? Silas is in the midst of his second year long title reign and dispatched of every contender put in front of him. The closest any challenger has come to dethroning him was Michael Elgin back in April and while fans have been clamoring for a rematch Elgin is contractually obligated to defend his Heritage Title Friday night. Knowing this Young has laid out an open challenge to the AAW roster for a title match at “Reign of Violence”. The entire locker room responded and we are now hearing that Jim Lynam and the AAW office have made the call and we will all find out who gets the shot this Friday night. CHALLENGE MATCH VS Sami Callihan returns to AAW after the epic battle in June with Davey Richards and finds yet another top flight opponent across the ring in BJ Whitmer. Whitmer has to be considered for comeback wrestler of the year and he looked excellent in his win over Mason Beck at “Scars and Stripes”. Even though Callihan came up short against Richards his stock has not fallen much and this will be a pivotal contest in seeing who moves back into title contention. If you are a fan of hard hitting wrestling this one is for you. Don’t expect either man to give an inch in what is sure to be an intense contest. www.AAWrestling.com |
