This Friday night AAW makes the final stop on the way to the Windy City Classic VIII as we are at the Berwyn Eagles Club to kick off AAW/SHIMMER weekend with “War is Coming”. The card is stacked and the stakes are high. This week we’ll take a closer look at the card starting with the Main Event. AAW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE ( C )VS A matchup of two of the best on the professional wrestling scene this year as Michael Elgin defends his newly won AAW Heavyweight Title against “The Callihan Death Machine” Sami Callihan. Elgin made history last month in a brutal “I Quit” match where he pried the belt away from Silas Young and ended his fourteen month reign. The “Unbreakable” one has promised to be a fighting champion and will face a stiff test right off the bat this Friday night. Sami Callihan has traveled the globe in 2012 and has made an impact everywhere he has gone. Callihan has earned the reputation of being one of the toughest and most determined men in all of professional wrestling and comes into this title shot with back to back submission wins over BJ Whitmer and Kyle O’Reily. Callihan has already stated that although he respects Elgin he fully expects this match to be a physical and mental battle of wills and he fully expects to leave Berwyn with the most prestigious title in the Midwest. This Friday night something has to give as Elgin and Callihan go to war. Davey Richards awaits the winner in November in the Main Event of the Windy City Classic. www.AAWrestling.com

Continuing with our AAW “War is Coming” preview, today we look at a pair of matches that may have strong implications on the future title picture. CHALLENGE MATCH VSSilas Young comes into this Friday night’s event missing a big piece of who he has been for the last fourteen months; the AAW Heavyweight Title belt. Young dropped the title last month to Michael Elgin after a grueling forty minute battle. Young was obviously not happy about the loss but he allegedly lost it once he heard Davey Richards would be granted a title shot at the Windy City Classic. There were some heated phone conversations between Young and AAW match maker Tony Rican. Rican granted Richards a title shot after his victories this year over Shane Hollister, Fit Finlay and Sami Callihan. Davey chose the biggest AAW show of the year to get his title match yet Silas Young has claimed he should be getting another shot after holding the belt for so long. Now Richards has stepped up and challenged the former champion to a match at “War is Coming” to prove he is the rightful number one contender. Silas can sure make a strong case to be included in the Windy City Classic Main Event if he can get a win over Richards this Friday night. It will be the intense striking and submission game of Richards against the cunning and calculated game of Silas Young at “War is Coming”. REMATCHVS A rematch from last month where ACH picked up his first victory in AAW (with a bit of an assist from Colt Cabana). Shane Hollister demanded this rematch, the AAW fans wanted to see it, so Tony Rican has booked it. Two of the brightest young stars on the roster square off once again, this time more familiar with each other and this time in a more intense atmosphere. Hollister claims he will run right through ACH this time and then get his hands on Colt Cabana to end their rivalry once and for all. ACH plans on his second straight win over Hollister and then quickly rising through the ranks to a title shot. Fast pace and innovative action will be on display in this one. www.AAWrestling.com

I was hoping somebody would return to greet Mr. Walker, but he's coming in on Saturday, per his Twitter. Too bad.
