Although I no longer go to the POWW shows, to be fair, I have to say that some of the best matches consisted of the older guys. The word for the day is experience. Not to mention ring psychology. Something that takes years of experience. But, that is just my worthless opinion.

Experience is VERY important, i agree. GOOD EXPERIENCE of guys like Craig and Mitch. Not guys trying to go through the motions and trying moves and spots they can't pull off.

I hear ya and do not disagree. However, lousy wrestling is not limited to old geezers. There are too many young guys out there that have no business being in the audience, let alone the ring. With the exceptions of two feds, Indy wrestling is just bad. Skinny guys, slobs with face paint, hoors trying to act like they are an important part of the show.....

Pete, I totally agree with you about the indy wrestling in Chicago area. My post should have been worded differently as there are guys that still perform at a high level in their 40's like Christopher Daniels.

There is a bad problem of guys being awful for 20 years and thinking that being sh*t for 20 years makes them good in anyway. This may be my first POWW show as I'm now back to a weekends off schedule. It should be better than the shitshow I just saw in Berwyn.

I guess my point being that age is and should not be a factor in how lousy a wrestler is. I have seen plenty of sub par lousy wrestlers in their 20's. There are a few wrestlers still out there in the area that are long in the tooth, but they still can go. There are more weekend warriors that wrestle in order to get laid.

I agree there are guys that still perform at a high level later in their careers. Unfortunately that doesn't cover this show.
