Tickets for the 2/17 Naito invasion at logan square are already sold out after going on sale this morning. I hadn't even heard of the guy before AAW announced him, but if he's that popular you would have thought AAW would go for a bigger venue, ROH sold out the Odeum with only a couple New Japan guys, why doesn't AAW ever try to go big, Logan Square sucks theres nowhere to park and traffic is a nightmare.

It's the PWG thing. Why pay more in rent when you can just jack up the ticket prices? Why get a bigger building with higher rent & more promotion? It's no sure thing more fans will come.

Seems like New Japan sells itself, especially if you sell out in just a couple hours with only social media as promotion, they could have easily went big on this one and still sold out with little advertising. The Resistance is looking better and better now on 2/17, probably only 10 bucks and easy to get to and easy parking. It will be some new guys I never heard of instead of a Japanese guy I never heard of and 100 times less hassle!

Well, now that AAW sold out, maybe they'll consider an iPPV. That hasn't happened in a while.
Resistance drawing well on other side of town is harder, but at least they'll be an alternative, maybe get locked out fans.

The PWG deal is they still sell a sh*t ton of dvd's and alot of the guys come in for a reduced fee.

aaw should really look into that IPPV or uhh i dont know running at a bigger building. I know they were supposed to run Olympic theater in cicero a few years ago and then AAW and shimmer randomly pull out due to "venue problems"
I don't see how the rent on a building with a bunch of former glory that barely has any shows at it would be more than logan square. It's still close to public trans and could most likely fit 1000 comfortably instead of having 500 people sit knee to knee with eachother in the oversold auditorium. If ROH could sell out the odeum, AAW should have known they could have sold out a bigger venue, yeah yeah let me guess bourbon was booked for some country music barn dance night, sure. There are other buildings in the city and burbs though, this small, old, crowded place with crappy parking shouldnt be the main spot but...f**kin hipsters man
