I'm glad everyone is getting a Good Chuckle out of this. Maybe a group of us can go and get a Wave going. You had me there for a moment. I thought it was legit and someone hacked your account. Thanks for the laughs.

My wife and I will be at C2E2 on Saturday but will be skipping these two gems for sure, as well as Nash, Raven, Animal, Santino, and Hurricane. Many AEW wrestlers will be there Friday and Sunday. We will check out Svengoolie, the artist area, comic and book dealers, etc. Afterwards we'll probably to to Ricobene's. The food and drink at McCormick Place is too expensive and not very good. Not a bad call on Ricobene’s, but their breaded steak too soggy for me. Worse have been made. I like the lamb and coriander dumplings at Qing Xian Yuan (2002 S. Wentworth, Suite 103) myself. We'll need to give Qing Xian Yuan a try. Our place since the 1960s was King Wah which closed about 5 years ago or more. For now, we just go to Chi-Tung in Evergreen Park but it's not the same as going to Chinatown.

I will be there but I am disappointed that Fatu no-showed AAW at 115 Bourbon Street in December.

From POWW Entertainment:
Thank you to all the fans who came out tonight and the roster for an amazing show. Here are your quick results: Joey Ariola won the Battle Royal Joe Bluez beat De La Sombra Mike Idol beat Kyle Blanchard Jay Nova beat Mongo Meathooks Obannon retained against Jamie Race when Mike Idol interfered. Yabo and Ruthless went to a double dq, which in turn has set up Yabos Funhouse match at Slamfest March 7th. Noise Booze and Tattoos beat the Revolution. Tylor Sullivan retained the POWW Championship By beating Vic Capri with help from a hooded person , who was revealed to be Kyle Blanchard. They continued an onslaught on Capri by using dry ice to blind him till help came to help him.
POWW returns to action March 7th in Foxlake Illinois
There was no PL Meyers who was with POWW. There must have been some sort of falling out. These indie guys and promotions should work together and try to get along, but what do I know?
I mostly go to these shows to meet up with friends and sometimes to eat. We went to Chuck's on 79th before the card which is one of my favorite places.
It was good to see many familiar faces who I haven't seen in a long time and many new faces too.
I was speaking with a couple of people from the Bridgeview Park District and they seem open to running again, so we'll see.

The show last night was a snooze fest. Fans who came to meet and greet Luchasaurus were told at the show that it would cost $30 for a selfie and an 8 x 10. This was not announced to the fans before they bought tickets (whether in advance via online or at the door). They were told about this five minutes before getting in line to meet and greet Luchasaurus. There were many disappointed people who remained in their seats while this "meet and greet" was taking place. The CSW General Manager Steve Ahrendt spent most of the night on the mic. He is very full of himself. He has a large desire for attention. The VFW was packed because seating was not spaced out properly. It was very difficult for most if not all of the fans to get up to buy refreshments and/or use the restroom. Unfortunately, because of these reasons in addition to the fact that I was seated directly in front of a ring post and my view was blocked most of the night by the referees I will not be attending any future CSW shows. Did they charge for a meet and greet as well as the ticket to get into the show? Was it implied that the meet and greet included free selfies, etc?

I'd like to purchase tix on-line. Will you be there?

This is not a direct link, so I tried selecting POWW in the left hand column. They wanted too much personal information so I will try my luck at the door.

I'm interested in Bridgeview on Feb 22. Cost? Can I buy tix on-line? Please advise. To Roberta Deming deming8800@gmail.com Jimmy Blaze and other promotions often plug their shows on the ChicagoProWrestling.com Facebook page: www.facebook.com/groups/104966126201540/POWW also has their own Facebook page which they actively update regularly and they respond to messages quickly. Thanks, and good luck.

A friend of mine asked the promotion about Fatu having a merch table and was told something like "Some of the wrestlers will have tables". Was it a coincidence that Fatu's named wasn't mentioned in their reply? I don't know.
I would probably have gone anyway but it would have been nice to talk to him about seeing his father, The Tonga Kid, and his trainer Rickishi originally with the Samoan Swat Team.

Thanks JTB.
Fatu no-showed for the main event, but Mance Warner got a decent pop and then he won the belt as the payoff for the no-show. I would have liked to see Fatu, but it was okay.
No announcements were made before the show and no refunds were offered. I guess the promotion felt the title change sent everyone home happy.
This was a full house and the crowd wasn't obnoxious. I'm glad that I went because I live near 115 Bourbon St. but something has always come up for past AAW shows.

I will be there for the GA tickets. The place is too crowded to be in the middle of a street fight gimmick.
IIRC, I haven't been to a wrestling show at 115 Bourbon St. since R-Pro ran there.

Be careful anywhere you go, but one of the talent had his car broken into at a show there last month.
This is supposed to be a trendy area to live, at least that's what the realtors push it as.
