I regret to inform everyone that NAPW's double-shot weekend scheduled for November 11th in Elgin and November 12th have both been canceled and will not be rescheduled. Because usually there are no in depth details about why cancelations happen let me go ahead and change that for you.
Our November 11th show was scheduled for Millennium hall in Elgin. After already discussing arrangements and announcing the show, the owner of the building decides to change the offer to a $500 room rental plus percentage of the tickets and all the concessions. The was not a chance that was happening because it was lost money and plain robbery. So we decided to work with anther promoter to run on the same date in Elgin. Hence why our website and advertisement boards said venue to be announced. That Permit was un obtainable for the show so NAPW decided to just run both shows in Schaumburg at the Helen Keller Middle school instead of canceling. This all happened in a week's time.
November 12th was scheduled at Helen Keller Middle School. This was announced a month ago and confirmed with the school board. Everything was in order contract in hand until the school board said they were un aware that the village of Schaumburg needed a permit for the shows. As of today talking with the city they said they could over look a new proposal for the show, have to re confirm with the school board and they said they could deny it hours before the show even starts. There is no guarantee that it would get approved, with 11 days to spare none the less. They didn't seem like they cared one bit and actually said they were not sure if "pro wrestling was even allowed in Schaumburg anymore".
So after getting off the phone with them and not anywhere closer to a confirmation that they would approve the shows and said the school board should have known that was needed, NAPW is cancelling both shows now. Not one ounce of good news came from the phone calls today and it's just too risky with a chance of it being canceled days of. They said it has go to in front of 6 different boards within the village of Schaumburg.
NAPW will only continue running in Elburn, Illinois. A building and a city that is behind the show and supporting it 100%. We are a new company and trying to find the right nesting ground. All legalities for Elburn have been double checked, also along with our Whiting, Indiana shows.
This is not what anyone wants, so for you workers you can either still support us or criticize us. If you still want bookings with us, ill know which side of the fence you stand on. We are scheduled to run Elburn once a month from now on, and Whiting as well if the draws are worth it.

We ran 2 shows there, and the draw did pick up on the 2nd show very well. But as a business standpoint its just not a venue were gonna sit on. The distance being one factor, were hoping Elgin, Schaumburg and Elburn become our main points of interest. As far as the venue itself goes, they will keep busy with there concert series they hold there
