"Ruthless" Ramon returned and eliminated Gage Quinn, who lasted from the #1 spot all the way through til the end, to win the POWW Royal and a shot at the World Title at SlamFest!
Eric Freedom pinned Trevor Blanchard to become NEW Regional Champion! Ruff Crossing had interfered in the match and drawn Scott Spade away from the ring.
ODB was announced as the special guest referee for the Six Woman Tag Match and the person who made the pin would be the first "Princess of POWW". Melanie Cruise pinned Traci Brooks after throwing her own partner Serena Deeb off her to win the match and become the "Princess". Afterward she and Serena no longer saw eye to eye, and Serena nailed her with a spear.
Psychotic Rage defeated the Sinmates in the Chicago Street Fight when Mitch Blake pinned Dehok.
Justin James (with the help of Black Iron and Rick Paradise) defeated Brandon Bishop to retain his TV Championship AND Brandon Bishop lost his career in POWW.
Marco Cordova defeated Shane Douglas after the referee reversed his original decision following Douglas pinning Cordova. When Cordova protested that Douglas had used an illegal weapon, the ref found Marco's brass knucks used earlier behind his back, hidden in Douglas' tights.
Demolition defeated Picture Perfect to become the POWW Tag Team Champions. Afterward, Picture Perfect laid a beat down on them, allowing Trevor Blanchard to run down with Black Iron and cash in his key for the Tag Team Titles. The defenseless team of Demolition was pinned and Blanchard and Iron became the Tag Team Champions.
In a hard fought four-way match for the POWW World Title, the action ranged all over the building including a wild dive by Chris Cairo from the balcony on to his opponents on the floor. In this falls count anywhere match, referee Brian Allen was helped by special guest referee, the returning Forsaken! But in the end Kanoa made the pin to capture his first ever World Championship!
Mr. Anderson came out to the ring and announced that he would not be able to compete due to injury. Ruff Crossing came out and called him a coward. After a war of words, the match was made. Scott Spade would take Anderson's place and Anderson would be the special guest referee. In the end of this battle of former friends, Ruff Crossing came out on top to the chagrin of the POWW fans!

Halloween came a few days early in Oswego last night as "Mr. Pricolo" (Master J) and "Mr. Elvis Presolo" (Mr. Ricolo) introduced the show and hosted a Halloween Costume Contest (congrats to all the winners) on a night that continued the Road to WrestleRage!
97.9 fm The Loop producer Guy Bower came out to the ring to remind fans about just a few of the events that would be taking place at WrestleRage, including the 1st ever in professional wrestling Fans Bring The Weapons Treasure Chest Match for the World Title between Champion Eric Freedom and Chris Cairo, as well as the big 10 man tag between the members of the M.O.B. with Robert Sabre III and Jimmy Blaze's team of Ruff Crossing, Scott Spade, DJ Donny Dynamite, Hardcore Craig, and Forsaken- with the stipulation that if the M.O.B. loses, they will all be handed their walking papers, that's right, fired from POWW!
Well, the M.O.B. was in the house and they were not thrilled to be reminded of the stakes for the big match, and Trevor Blanchard slugged the radio personality and slammed him in the center of the ring as the rest of the M.O.B. put the boots to him. Jimmy Blaze came out, but due to the 15 feet distance he must maintain between himself and the M.O.B. was unable to make the save. Instead Ruff Crossing, Scott Spade, and Chris Cairo all stormed the ring and sent the M.O.B. running for the hills.
After that was a POWW Royal. Terry Allen was the first out, followed by Scott Spade, Chris Cairo, and X-Con. X-Con refused to enter the ring, and so Cairo and Spade slid outside to corner the big man while TA dove through the ropes on to X-Con and all three slid him in to the ring to keep the match going. Next out were Dehok, Trevor Blanchard, Ruff Crossing, Justin James, and Black Iron. Spade was eliminated by X-Con, Dehok, and James. Iron was eliminated by RC. Matt Mayhem came out as Blanchard was eliminated by RC. Cairo was eliminated by X-Con, as was Mayhem. JJ and Dehok were eliminated by RC. X-Con then eliminated TA and RC to pick up the victory.
The second match of the night was a rematch between Melanie Cruise w/ King Kanoa taking on Matt Mayhem. After a little back and forth between the two, Mayhem took control with a 2nd rope back elbow, and held on for a while until Cruise nailed a vicious clothesline that turned Mayhem inside out. Some trading off between Cruise and Kanoa of distracting the ref and attacking Mayhem took place, and while for a moment it looked like Mayhem might be able to overcome the odds and pick up the win, Cruise scored with a modified angle slam and got the pinfall.
Next up was Black Iron w/ Jade facing Scott Spade. Spade stormed the ring but Iron cut him off and took it to the hero with a series of boots. Spade reversed and sent Iron outside and choked the masked man until Jade tried to get him away, Spade gave chase to Jade as they circled the ring, allowing Iron to get Spade's chain and use it against it's owner. Later on Iron looked to have it sewn up with the 2nd rope dead leg drop, but it was Spade's Ace Crusher that ended the match. After Spade's victory Justin James and Trevor Blanchard crashed the ring and attacked Spade, prompting Ruff Crossing and DJ Donny Dynamite to make the save chasing the M.O.B. off.
Ruff Crossing sought to continue his war with the M.O.B. as he, with Nikki at his side, faced off against Justin James, who was joined by Jade and Black Iron. The two traded a series of holds and each showed their technical side for much of the match's start, until finally the wicked tendencies of James and the M.O.B. took over and James distracted the ref to allow Iron to strike. While there was plenty of action in the ring, it was the heated antics between former friends Jade and Nikki that drew the attention of the ref while Iron slid a chair into the ring for James. RC intercepted the weapon as the ref was turning his attention back to the match, and James seeing an opportunity threw himself to the mat grabbing his head and groaning while RC stood dumbfounded with the chair still in his hands, the ref seeing the illegal weapon declared the match a DQ victory for James, and the M.O.B attacked, taking turns violently beating RC, leaving him laying alone and beaten in the ring.
The night of M.O.B. terror looked to continue as Trevor Blanchard came out, with the rest of the M.O.B. in tow, to face the #1 contender for the World Title, Chris Cairo. But before things could kick off, seeing that a potential World Champion could be beneficial to their cause, the M.O.B. offered Cairo a spot on their team, but Cairo declined and the match was underway. Cairo showed that he was just as technically savvy as the crafty vet and worked over the left shoulder of Blanchard with a variety of maneuvers. Blancharrd fighting out shot Cairo with furious speed out of the ring between the ropes to crash in the first row of seats allowing the M.O.B. to attack at ringside while Blanchard held the ref at bay. Blanchard stayed in control after that until Guy Bower came back out to ringside and distracted Blanchard allowing Cairo to roll him up for a quick pin, and Cairo and Bower went to the back together in victory.
The main event was unlike anything I've seen in all my years of watching wrestling, pitting Outta Control's Jimmy Blaze and Tag Champs Joey Cece and Terry Allen against Regional Champion King Kanoa and the sInmates Dehok and X-Con with James Staublein. First out were the sInmates and to the shock and hilarious delight of the fans, they were wearing... dresses! Kanoa and Melanie Cruise came out looking quite confused at the appearance of their teammates in this contest. Outta Control came out next all three united and as the match began... Well, I've got to tell you fans, if you weren't there, there's no way I can accurately describe all the action that took place, but I can give a few details, such as the amazing 3 on 3 suplex that saw all the members of OC joined together suplexing their opponents all at once. And of course then there was the finish! As TA and Cece took the sInmates to the outside brawling out of the building Blaze took the fight to Kanoa inside the ring until Cruise broke up a potential pinfall, sending Blaze to the outside where he grabbed one of the guitars left on display by "Mr. Elvis Presolo" and smashed it over her head leaving her knocked out at ringside at which point he returned to the ring and a flatliner later it was victory for Outta Control. The sInmates returned to the ring to beat down the owner of the company and while Blaze was laying in the ring, Kanoa dictated that if he would have to wear boots if he lost at WrestleRage, then Blaze would have to put his hair on the line. Cece and Allen returned battered to the ring to chase off the sInamtes and Kanoa, and OC stood in the ring victorious to end the night!

So last night POWW Entertainment raged (no pun intended) into Woodstock and continued to build up to the biggest night of the year- WrestleRage.
Woodstock fans were treated to some amazing action and surprises as all the old favs, as well as some new faces came out to prove why POWW really is the best in the business today.
To kick things off M.O.B.'s Trevor Blanchard with Jade by his side came out to face off against Chris Chaos. Blanchard confronted Chaos before the bell and told him that HE was the reason Chaos was invited back into the POWW locker room, and offered him a spot in the M.O.B. Chaos took the offered shirt and with an act of disdain threw it away, starting off the match between the two. Chaos seemed to have Blanchard well in control for the brunt of the match, but with Jade distracting the ref from the apron keeping Chaos from making the pin, Blanchard was able to capitalize nailing a DDT and putting Chaos away.
Joey Eastman then came out to the ring to interview POWW Commish Rick Paradise about POWW Owner Jimmy Blaze's state of mind, as well as what Paradise's involvement in 'Rage would be. Paradise assured the fans that Blaze was as of sound mind as someone "Psychotic" could be and that he, Paradise, would always be part of 'Rage.
Next up came the POWW debut of The Great Malaki with The Great Cheyenne and a cloaked figure taking on Matt Mayhem with Mikey Wild. Malaki startled the fans by lighting his hands on fire and walking among the crowd before extinguishing himself and entering the ring. Malaki and Cheyenne both countered Mayhem's speed advantage with freakish strength and a numbers advantage, as Wild seemed reluctant to move to counter the evil duo. Mayhem looked to have Malaki finished off with a Texas Cloverleaf but Cheyenne climbed up to the apron to distract the ref. Mayhem confronted her and as Malaki charged from behind, Mayhem ducked sending Malaki crashing into his wicked cohort as Mayhem scored a crucifix pin for the win.
As Wild Mayhem celebrated in the ring, Jimmy Blaze came out to apologize to Mayhem for assaulting him in Iowa last week, saying the stress has been getting to him, and he took it out on the wrong people. He offered his hand to the two men, and they all shook as Regional Champ King Kanoa and his Queen, Melanie Cruise came out to the ring and the Royalty of the roster told Blaze they were sick of him whining and that tonight in Woodstock Cruise was going to kick his hind-end. Blaze said there was no point in waiting til later in the night, and they should get it done now, asking Wild Mayhem to leave, he called Cruise into the ring, and the match was underway. Cruise and Kanoa targetted Blaze's left leg, taking it out from under him and keeping him trapped on the mat for most of the match until a slight misstep allowed Blaze to get back on his feet and despite his bum wheel he got on the offensive with an FU. Cruise crawled to the corner and called the ref over to check on her claiming she was hurt, opening up Kanoa to slide in behind the ref's back and nail Blaze with the Lei'd to Waste before ducking back out as Cruise got the 1-2-3.
Justin James and the M.O.B. came out to the ring to mock Blaze for losing to a girl, Blaze retaliated by letting James know he'd have the chance to do the same as he would be facing Sara Del Rey, returning to POWW, on Oct 18th in Woodstock. James claimed he was unable to wrestle because he got hurt while walking his dog. Blaze then told James that if he didn't get in the ring on the 18th, then he'd have to wrestle in a dress when he did return, and since he is injured, Black Iron will have to face off against Scott Spade and Ruff Crossing in Fox Lake on his own in a handicap match.
X-Con and Dehok with James Staublein got their Tag Title shot against Outta Control (Joey Cece and Terry Allen) next. Cece came to the ring with Sandra D, but Allen was suspiciously absent. Commish Paradise came out to the ring to let the fans know that someone jumped Allen backstage and he was unable to make it to the ring, and Cece would have to defend the Tag Titles on his own. Cece managed to hold his own against the towering big men for a while, but after Dehok broke Staublein's cane over Cece's back it looked like we'd have new Champions. Suddenly Allen stormed the ring and OC nailed the vicious giants with numerous tandem moves and scoring the pinfall to retain the Tag Titles.
Ruff Crossing with Nikki faced off against Black Iron with Trevor Blanchard, Justin James, and Jade in the 5th match of the night. The numbers game proved too much for Crossing as Blanchard climbed up onto the apron following Black Iron getting booted to the outside as the ref tried to get Blanchard to get back down on the floor, Black Iron sprayed the mist into Crossing's face and rolling him up for the pin. The M.O.B. all entered the ring to put the beatdown on Crossing before Outta Control chased them off, leaving Crossing alone in the ring. Claiming he's had enough of the M.O.B. he called Jimmy Blaze out to the ring and said that they've both had their issues with the M.O.B., but then again, they've both had issues with each other lately as well. As the two men regarded each other the POWW sound guy came out to the ring and told the cowboy and the owner that he's had enough of sitting back and watching as the two friends bickered back and forth, over what in the end, is a dispute over a girl. He told the two to get over their differences and came back together as friends. The two men shook hands, and Blaze and Crossing told the sound guy- DJ Donny Dynamite, that they were impressed with his courage to step into the ring with them, and if he feels he's up to it, he can join Crossing as 2 of the 4 men who will face off against the M.O.B. at 'Rage. Dynamite accepted, leaving two spots remaining for the big match.
For the main event it was Chris Cairo in the Freedom's Challenge Royal for a rematch for Freedom's World Title. Cairo entered the ring first, followed by his first opponent Black Iron, Iron was quickly eliminated. Trevor Blanchard came out next followed by Joey Cece and Mikey Wild. Cairo and Cece eliminated Blanchard. Terry Allen came out, followed by Dehok, and The Great Malaki. Malaki eliminated Allen. Dehok eliminated Cece. Matt Mayhem , Ruff Crossing, and Kanoa all came out. Kanoa eliminated Wild. Jimmy Blaze came out and teaming with Crossing eliminated Malaki, Kanoa, and Mayhem. Cairo eliminated Dehok. Blaze told Crossing that the two should do the right thing, and the duo eliminated themselves, looking like Cairo would have the rematch. Mr. Ricolo's music hit and after taking off his jacket Ricolo told Cairo that he wanted no part in the match. Then referee Bob "Pee Wee" Parrella's music hit, and he said the same thing. Melanie Cruise's music played and she stormed out from the back knocking Pee Wee into the ring post. Cairo knocked Cruise out the moment she hit the ring, but with Pee Wee down on the floor Kanoa slid into the ring and nailed the Lei'd to Waste, throwing him out of the ring and alerting Pee Wee to Cruise being the last one in the ring, giving her the win, and robbing Cairo of his rematch ending the night on a disappointing note for "The Lost Soul".
~quick results~
Trevor Blanchard pinned Chris Chaos following a DDT.
Matt Mayhem pinned The Great Malaki with a crucifix pin.
Melanie Cruise pinned Jimmy Blaze after Kanoa nailed a Lei'd to Waste while the ref was distracted.
Outta Control (Joey Cece and Terry Allen) pinned X-Con and Dehok to retain the Tag Titles. Cece spent most of the match fighting on his own after Allen was jumped backstage.
Black Iron pinned Ruff Crossing after spraying him with the black mist while Trevor Blanchard distracted the ref.
Melanie Cruise won the Freedom's Challenge Royal when the ref was knocked out and Kanoa hit the Lei'd to Waste and threw Chris Cairo out. As a result Cairo does not get a rematch against Eric Freedom for the World Title.

It was an intense night as the Road to WrestleRage gets under way and as always Fox Lake was a hot crowd. Before the action kicked off though, the night began with a 10 bell salute to fallen wrestling great- Walter "Killer" Kowalski who passed away Aug 30th.
Things got underway with the M.O.B. representing in full force as Tommy Capone came out with Justin James, Trevor Blanchard, Black Iron, and Jade filling the ring with the black and white. As Scott Spade came out with Miss Taylor Made to begin the match Justin James offered to cancel the match if Spade would take the opportunity that Ruff Crossing turned down, and join up with the M.O.B. Spade looked to be considering the offer, but then wiped his hind-end with the offered shirt and threw it out to the crowd and the match between Spade and Capone was underway. Spade dismantled Capone for most of the match, with the M.O.B. assisting Capone where they could, but over confidence kept them from being able to keep Spade down. An Ace Crusher put Capone down and gave Spade the win after which, the whole M.O.B. stormed the ring to assault Spade until Ruff Crossing came out to make the save. Crossing offered his hand to Spade and the two shook, followed by Crossing raising Spade's hand in triumph.
Next was Andrew MacLeod w/ Eric Freedom taking on the returning Chris Chaos. Chaos quickly got under the skin of MacLeod by taunting his "skirt" (it's a kilt I was informed to clarify to our readers by a... shall we say- threatening source) and kep the crowd firmly in his corner, but MacLeod and Freedom did what they could to keep Chaos on his toes, ducking in and out of the ring and taking turns attacking while the other would distract the ref. After a considerable beating, Chaos managed a Chaos Effect out of nowhere leaving both men laying for a 7 count. MacLeod nailed Chaos with a top rope-supported DDT, and then went for a 2nd rope suplex, but Chaos countered into a neck breaker. Freedom pulled ref Bob "Pee Wee" Parrella out of the ring, but Chris Cairo came out to chase Freedom away and while MacLeod tried to take Chaos out, Chaos dodged to roll him up for the pin.
Regional Champion King Kanoa came out with Queen Melanie Cruise to tell the crowd about his being robbed of the opportunity to be a Triple Champion when Jimmy Blaze eliminated him from the POWW Royal in Oswego to determine who would face Eric Freedom for the World Title in Fox Lake that night. Blaze came out and countered that in fact Kanoa cost him the shot by dragging him over the top rope after him. Blaze said since he's the boss, he's going to go ahead and abuse his power by giving himself a Regional Title shot against Kanoa right there and then. Blaze stayed in full control for a brunt of the match and looked like he might have it won following a fallaway slam, but Kanoa said there was something wrong with his eye prompting ref Parrella to send Blaze over to a corner of the ring and assess Kanoa's situation. Blaze set up a chair to sit in and wait, but while the ref called over ring announcer Mr. Riccolo to discuss what was happening, Cruise jumped into the ring and slammed Blaze into his own chair allowing Kanoa to crawl over to make the pin and retain his Title. Blaze then got on the mic and said that he's the boss, and since he's the boss he has a considerable amount of stroke in the company, and he was going to use it to do the following things- on October 4th Kanoa and Cruise would be facing a team of Blaze, and the bosses friend, you might know her from TNA as Ms. Payton Banks, Rain. and if Blaze and Rain win, Blaze will get another shot at Kanoa's Regional Title, but if Kanoa and Cruise win, Blaze and Rain will shave their heads. But before any of that goes down- Blaze will be in Woodstock on the 20th taking on... Melanie Cruise.
The 4th match of the night saw Wild Mayhem taking on the fresh team of Dehok and X-Con w/ James Staublein. Con and Dehok came out to show that they were not just a random pairing, but an actual cohesive unit with Dehok wearing one of Con's prison jumpsuits, and Con wearing matching facepaint and Dehok's trademark pentagram pants. As matched as they appeared, Mikey Wild and Matt Mayhem proved that they were very much on the same page by opening the match with a series of quick tags moving swiftly and gaining offense against the larger opponents, but it wasn't long before size and strength played a part in the battle and Wild into a world of pain being beaten on by Con and Dehok who worked hard to keep the ref distracted and keep Mayhem from being able to tag in or make the save. Mayhem finally did tag in however while Wild went off the apron to attempt to put Con down, but he was caught in the air and slammed against the ring post as both Con and Dehok then entered the ring to nail a tandem sideslam on Mayhem for the pinfall. X-Con's manager James Staublein then took the mic and announced loud and clear to the fans and the roster that his guys were the team to beat in POWW, and even though Tag Champions Joey Cece and Terry Allen weren't there that night, he was still calling them out for a Tag Title shot for his team.
Nick H. came out to the ring next and informed the fans at Fox Lake that he was now on the lookout for new talent to rebuild his team in his goal of being the manager of Champions here in POWW.
Justin James comes back out to the ring with Black Iron and Jade at his side to face off against Ruff Crossing w/ Nikki. James attacked Crossing before the bell but Crossing quickly turned it around as the match began. Crossing maintained control even with James diving to the outside from time to time to confer with his M.O.B. stablemates, but when James used Nikki as a distraction he was able to get a shoulder block to Crossing's knees sending Crossing to the floor before getting him back into the ring to continue working over Crossing's left knee. As James distracted the ref, Iron and Jade crotched Crossing on the ring post, followed by James repeating the act, following it up with a figure 4 leg lock around the ring post. The M.O.B. then surrounded Nikki while Crossing was down, but Nikki held her own with a series of slaps and low blows. Back in the ring James came back after Crossing, but was quickly reversed and then put away with the pump handle slam for the pin. The M.O.B. ran in from all sides with Blanchard and Capone joining the frey. Spade came out next to return the favor from earlier in the night by making the save for Crossing, but the 4 on 2 odds proved overwhelming. POWW owner Jimmy Blaze came out, being careful to stay back 15 feet from the ring due to the restraining order against him, and sent security in to keep all the men separated. Blaze told the M.O.B. he had some big news for them- at WrestleRage 6 Justin James, Black Iron, Trevor Blanchard, and Tommy Capone will all team up to take on a 4 man team to be announced made up of anyone looking to dismantle the M.O.B. from the past, present, and/or future of POWW. And dismantled the M.O.B. will be should they lose the match.
The main event of the night saw Chris Cairo challenging World Champion Eric Freedom w/ Andrew MacLeod for the title. Freedom mocked a fan by dumping a box of Froot Loops she had brought to the show out all over her while making his entrance. Cairo didn't wait for the bell before taking it to Freedom with dropkicks and a 312, but Freedom retaliated with a face breaker and a headbutt to the neather region. Freedom and MacLeod traded off chokes on the challenger, keeping Cairo from gaining any momentum. The match continued back and forth, seeing Cairo dive over the top rope onto the Champ and his cohort, and Freedom using his night stick to knock out Cairo to go for the cover, but the ref stayed distracted, ordering MacLeod to the back. Freedom set up a table in the ring, but Cairo nailed the Bum Rush and was going to go for the pin, but MacLeod came back out to drag Freedom out of the ring and the two men headed to the back allowing Cairo the victory by count-out, but keeping Freedom in possession of the World Title. Freedom took the mic and told Cairo that since he won, maybe he deserves another shot at the title, but if he wants it, he'll have to earn it by facing Freedom's challenge- Cairo must face the entire POWW Roster in a POWW Royal in Woodstock on the 20th, with Cairo being the 1st entrant and needing to be the last man standing. Cairo accepted the challenge to end the show.
There's alot of things heating up right now to bring POWW full steam into WrestleRage, there's only one way to keep up-
I'll see you at the show!
~Quick Results~
Scott Spade w/ Taylor Made turned down an offer to join the M.O.B. and pinned Tommy Capone w/ Justin James, Trevor Blanchard, Black Iron, and Jade following an Ace Crusher. The M.O.B. attacked after the match, but Ruff Crossing came out to make the save and offered his hand to Spade, which was accepted as the two men stood triumphant in the ring.
Chris Chaos pinned Andrew MacLeod w/ Eric Freedom with a school boy roll up.
Kanoa w/ Melanie Cruise pinned Jimmy Blaze and retained the Regional Title after Cruise slammed Blaze face first into a chair while the ref was distracted. Blaze announced that Oct. 4th he would be teaming with Rain to take on the King and Queen of POWW, and in Woodstock on the 20th of this month he'll take on Cruise in one on one competition.
X-Con and Dehok w/ James Staublein beat Wild Mayhem following a tandem side slam on Matt Mayhem. Staublein said his team wants a shot at the Tag Titles.
Ruff Crossing w/ Nikki pinned Justin James w/ Black Iron and Jade after a Pump Handle Slam. M.O.B. stormed the ring and attacked, bringing out Scott Spade. Jimmy Blaze came out and sent security into the ring to separate the men and announced that at WrestleRage 6 the M.O.B. James, Blanchard, Capone and Black Iron will face off against 4 men from the past, present, and/or future of POWW to be announced, and if the M.O.B. loses, the stable must disband.
Chris Cairo beat Eric Freedom w/ Andrew MacLeod by count-out, but Freedom retained the World Title. Freedom said Cairo can have another shot at the title if he can win a POWW Royal in Woodstock on the 20th as the first man in against the entire roster. Cairo accepted the challenge.

POWW fans, if you weren't in Oswego last night, you missed out. Without question, what a night!
Things kicked off with Dehok coming out the the ring, grabbing a copy of the latest issue of POWW Magazine featuring Scott Spade on the cover, and ripping it apart- throwing the pieces into the crowd (he hasn't paid me yet for the issue, but... I'm not really feeling inclined to ask) and waiting for Spade to enter. As Spade's music hit and Dehok stood ready in front of the entrance, Spade ducked in from a side entrance in the building and attacked Dehok, choking him mercilessly with his chain. From there things escalated with each man getting blows in outside the ring as Head Ref Bob "Pee Wee" Parrella tried desperately to draw the two into the ring so the match could start. Finally the two men entered and from there it was back and forth until Dehok made one big miscalculation, while the ref looked away, he hung Spade's chains on the turnbuckle and as he tried to sling Spade into the chain, Spade reversed and then nailed the Ace Crusher for the pin. After the match, Spade wrapped the chain around Dehok's neck and threw him over the top rope and tried to strangle the life out of his evil former partner with the chain acting as a noose. Dehok managed to escape, but the message was made clear- Spade came out not only victorious, but dominant on this night.
The next match saw Hardcore Craig looking for revenge against Eric Freedom for the loss of his Tag Title in Woodstock, by taking out Freedom's protege Andrew MacLeod. Craig put on a clinic, battering MacLeod from one end of the ring to the other, but cost himself some momentum in the match by giving too much attention to Freedom who was at ringside. MacLeod lost control when Craig caught him in the corner with an Alabama Slam. A TKO looked like it would put MacLeod away, but Freedom distracted the ref and tossed MacLeod his night stick. Jimmy Blaze came out to pull Freedom away from the action and Craig rolled MacLeod up with a sunset variant from the corner to pick up the win, and a small measure of retribution.
Master J came out for a new edition of The Orange Room with his guests- the M.O.B. Justin James, Trevor Blanchard, and Black Iron. James informed the world that since Brandon Bishop left the group, and Jimmy Blaze turned down his offer to join the group, a spot still remained open in the group, and he knew just who to offer it to. Calling Ruff Crossing down to the ring, the bad guys in black offered an M.O.B. t-shirt to Crossing who for a moment looked as if he was going to put it on, but he then tossed it away and told the group that he would never join them, and in fact, would face any one of them right then and there.
Trevor Blanchard accepted the challenge, but the whole M.O.B. circled the ring. Crossing managed to keep things evenly matched despite the overwhelming numbers against him for a while, but the M.O.B. definitely took advantage of every opening to use the numbers game in their favor. A Pump Handle Slam later though, and Crossing scored the pinfall. The M.O.B. swarmed the ring and abused the man who turned them down until Scott Spade came out to the ring and chased them off. Offering his hand to Crossing, Spade hoped to continue to form positive alliances since his stepping away from his former evil ways, but Crossing staying true to usual form instead walked away, leaving Spade standing alone.
The 4th match of the night was the highly anticipated Tag Title match that would also see the return of Terry Allen since his wife Sandra D turned on him last month to side with Eric Freedom. Freedom and Jimmy Blaze came away from Crowning of the Champ as Tag Champions despite their mutual hatred for each other, and Joey Cece came out of the night with a shot at the Tag Titles with a partner of his choice after winning a royal that same night. With Blaze already involved as 1/2 of the Tag Champs, Cece instead turned to the 3rd member of Outta Control Terry Allen to be his partner. Freedom and Blaze seemed to work together one moment, and be vicious enemies the next, slapping each other in the face for tags, but also hitting tandem moves with the fluidity of days past when they used to be tag partners by choice. Cece and Allen were a more cohesive unit, and seemed to have the match won until a fisherman's suplex by Allen on Freedom also took out the ref, leaving Freedom open to knock out not just Allen and Cece with his night stick, but also partner Jimmy Blaze, busting Cece and Blaze wide open with the assault. Freedom put Allen down with Very Bad Things, and Sandra D slid into the ring to count the 1-2-3 unofficially, and the two celebrated, but as Freedom turned his back on Sandra, she then nailed him with the night stick and Allen put him away as the ref woke up giving us new Tag Champs in Terry Allen and Joey Cece. Blaze looked torn between the loss of the belts and the desire to celebrate with his friends, and in the end with a brief congratulations, left the ring as Cece, Allen, and Sandra stood in the ring unified and victorious.
Mikey Wild challenged King Kanoa for his Regional Title in the second to last match of the night, and the action in this one was fast paced and high flying with a style that few others in wrestling can even think to attempt. An opening flurry of moves by Wild looked like it would provide a longshot victory and Title change, but Melanie Cruise put Kanoa's foot on the rope to break the count. Kanoa took control with a Rock Bottom out of the corner, and an inverted behind the back Pedigree variation, pummeling Wild with pointed elbows straight into Wild's temple, followed by attempting to make Wild submit. The two traded more moves before Wild finally squeezed Kanoa in the Crippler Crossface, but Cruise jumped up on the apron, causing the ref to turn away from the action and admonish the brutal beauty, leaving Kanoa's tapping out, missed by the official. As Wild went to alert the ref to what had happened Kanoa got to his feet and scored with the Lei'd to Waste for the pin. Addressing the crowd Kanoa told the fans that as he was now the King of POWW, Melanie Cruise would now be addressed as the Queen. The crowd then responded with a "Queen Skank" chant that sent the two frustrated back to the locker room.
The final match of the night was a POWW Royal the would earn the winner a shot at the POWW World Title on Sept. 6th.
Trevor Blanchard and Scott Spade started things off in the ring with Blanchard in control. Black Iron was the 3rd entrant, followed by Ruff Crossing to even the odds. Andrew MacLeod was out next, followed by Mikey Wild, Hardcore Craig, and X-Con. X-Con rather than enter the ring, went instead to the merch table to read a POWW Magazine (I swear these aren't all just cheap plugs) until ref Pee Wee Parrella told him he had to get into the ring. Chris Cairo came out next. X-Con eliminated Hardcore Craig as Kanoa entered the royal. Ruff Crossing and Scott Spade eliminated Andrew MacLeod, Spade then eliminated Trevor Blanchard, followed by X-Con eliminating Spade. Ruff Crossing eliminated Black Iron, X-Con eliminated Mikey Wild as Terry Allen came out, followed by Dehok. X-Con eliminated Ruff Crossing, and after the two men stared each other down for a moment- Dehok reached down into his tights and pulled out an orange head wrap in the same style that X-Con wears and putting it on, the two teamed up against the other men in the ring. Joey Cece and Jimmy Blaze were the next two men out, and Cece joined his parter Terry Allen as the two faced off against X-Con and Dehok, eliminating X-Con. Dehok in turn eliminated Allen, and Kanoa helped out by eliminating Joey Cece. Chris Cairo eliminated Dehok leaving just 3 men left standing in the ring. As Cairo turned his attention back in to the ring Kanoa caught him with the Lei'd to Waste leaving him laying incapacitated. Jimmy Blaze then eliminated Kanoa, but Kanoa reached up and grabbed Blaze's hair to pull him to the outside as well, leaving Cairo the only one in the ring, and the winner of the royal. Freedom came into the ring and told Cairo that he gets his shot on the 9th, but he only gets one, so he'd better win, or Very Bad Things would happen to him. Cairo tells Freedom that he's beaten him before, and he'll do it again. Turning his back to Freedom to celebrate his victory with the fans, Freedom turned him around nailing him with the V.B.T. and leaving him sprawled out in the ring to end the show.
When POWW heads into Fox Lake on the 6th you can bet it'll be one to see, with the World Title on the line, new Tag Champs, and the Road to WrestleRage well underway... I'll see you all there! ~quick results~
