Saw om FaceBook that Johnny Gargano will also be there. This is my favorite DREAMWAVE show of the year with the Good as Gold Battle Royal.

NAPW's Facebook page listed that tonight's show has been cancelled. The next date is August 29th. If you already purchased tickets, they will either be honored on August 29th or a refund of point of purchase will be given. Someone from NAPW should have made a comment on this website as well as Facebook.

Will be interesting to see how a Sunday afternoon show does. Having Matt Sydal there should hopefully help.

IPW (Impact Pro Wrestling) is one of the top indy promotions in Iowa. Owner Troy Peterson and company did an outstanding job last Friday evening (July 10th) putting on its annual wrestling event as part of the Dan Gable Museum Hall-of-Fame weekend in Waterloo, Iowa. The Five Sullivan Brothers Convention Center played host to the IPW show. Many greats in the world of pro-wrestling were either at the show or on hand during the entire HOF weekend. Kurt Angle, Beth Phoenix, JJ Dillon, B. Brian Blair & Jumping Jim Brunzell (The Killer Bees), The Great WoJo, Jim Ross, Gerald and Wes Brisco, Pro Wrestling Torch author Wade Keller, "Hardcore" Bob Holly, Eugene, Colt Cabana, Larry Hennig, Baron von Raschke, author and historian Bill Murdock, members of the Vachon Family & the amazing Referee Billy J. all made appearances. This event is a blast and a must for any true fan of pro-wrestling.
1. Sparrow was the winner of the Lou Thesz Cup Memorial Battle Royal. The crowd loves a good Battle Royal and this one was enjoyable.
2. Ryan Slade defeated Bobby Fonta. Newcomer Bobby Fonta impressed Gerald Brisco earlier in the day at the annual training seminar. He poured his heart into the match but the veteran Slade scored the "W".
3. Latin Thunder and Eugene won over Jake Dirden and Nate Redwing (Mass Destruction). A very enjoyable match.
4. Colt "Boom Boom" Cabana scored a victory over "Hardcore" Bob Holly. One of the best bouts on the card. Been a while since I've seen Cabana play the heel. Holly now lives in nearby Dubuque so he was the favorite. Big pops during this match. Holly promised and delivered his signature catchphrase "How Do Ya Like Me Now?"
Intermission
5. IPW Vault Champion Marshall Scott successfully defended his title against Nicky Free. Free has been one of the best talents in IPW during the last 5-6 years. Win or Lose, a fan will always get a great match with Nicky on the card.
6. B. Brian Blair, Ugly and James Jefferies defeated The IPW Tag Team Champions Matty Starr and Sparrow and their partner Aaron Von Baron. Chants of "You Still Got It" were directed towards B. Brian Blair. For being 58 years old, he still showed he can mix it up and be successful.
7. Wes Brisco pinned AJ Smooth in a Legends Lumberjack Match. Some of the legends at ringside were the elder Brisco, The Baron & JJ Dillon. Big pops when the Baron used his classic "Claw" and JJ Dillon nailing both Matty Starr and AJ Smooth with his shoe.
-Best Wishes to IPW veteran Tony Sly who is out with an injury.
-Congrats to Troy Peterson, the entire IPW company and everyone at the Dan Gable Museum for putting on another great show and making the entire weekend enjoyable.

WWE made its annual trip to Rockford, IL for a house show last Sunday night (July 5th). The BMO Harris Bank Center (formerly the MetroCentre) played host for the card. A decent house show during a holiday weekend. Many families were in attendance. I brought my 13 year old nephew to his first WWE event.
JoJo was the ring announcer for the evening.
1. The Tag Team Champions The PrimeTime Players successfully defended their titles over the Ascension. A very good opening contest with the Players receiving a loud pop.
2. Fandango defeated Adam Rose. The crowd was mostly dead. Rose took some time ranting how bad of a town that Rockford is to visit. A few decent high spots but mostly a snoozer. Both men could be candidates to be future DREAMWAVE Wrestling special guests before the years is up.
3. Damien Mizdow and Axelmania won over Brad Maddox and Heath Slater. The Mega-Powers received a solid pop but the match wasn't too hot.
4. R-Truth rolled-up David Otunga. A decent match considering how weak the last two bouts were. R-Truth was over and took some selfies with the ringside fans afterwards.
5. Roman Reigns speared Bray Wyatt. One of the best matches of the night. Roman was so over with the crowd.
A brief 10-minute Intermission.
6. Natalya & Alicia Fox won over Summer Rae and Cameron with special guest referee Emma. Natalya received the biggest pop of all the Divas. Better then most diva matches.
7. The Intercontinental Champion Ryback defeated The Big Show and The Miz in a Triple-Threat match. Ryback received huge pops but all three individuals were respected by the crowd. Very good match.
8. WWE Champion Seth Rollins pinned Dean Ambrose in a Rockford Street Fight with the assist to Bray Wyatt. Reigns came afterwards to save his friend Ambrose. Excellent match.
A fun evening considering some major talent was in Japan for "The Beast in the East" event. RAW will be in Chicago tonight.

To clarify, this is a not-for-profit show run by The National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum? I doubt that the wrestling show plans to run it as a not-for profit event, but I'm confused as to who considers a 300 mile away show to be local to Chicago? I don't think anyone considers it to be local to Chicago. It's an annual show that is a must for any wrestling fan and a fun trip to plan.

Slacker, it was a honor to finally meet you. To answer your question Howie, TJ Steel could make a good choice. He is young, very athletic and has a nice build. He is one that might be able to endure all the physical challenges.

NAPW (North American Pro Wrestling) returned to the Hickory Grove Banquet Center in Rochelle, IL last Friday, June 26TH. It was cool having a Friday night show in Rochelle. The attendance was around 100 fans. It was nice to see some familiar faces including Anthony and his mom. Also a honor to finally meet fellow message board member slacker. Wrestler Jay Kross and referee AJ Lewis were also in attendance. Many new fans also attended the show.
"The Italian Warhorse" Anthony Antonelli announced to the audience that he recently had surgery done on his groin and will be out until August. TJ Steel, the lap-dog to Commissioner KaDance Kelli, was acting commissioner since Miss Kelli was not present for the evening. Mr. Steel ordered Antonelli to serve as commentator. Dwight Streater was the ring announcer and the officials were Getch and Scott Wolfe.
1. Brawn the Lumber Jack vs Jack Carpenter
This was a short-but-sweet match. The crowd was excited and fully behind Carpenter. The burly Lumber Jack controlled the majority of the bout but was caught in a roll-up.
Winner: Jack Carpenter
* Due to Anthony Antonelli's injury, Carpenter would get the title shot to face current NAPW Champion DOJ in the main event.
2. Nate Quest vs Mitch Blake
Blake took the younger competitor to school starting things off with a nice side headlock on the mat. Quest felt numerous thunderous chops in the corner. Blake did the hush famous by the Big Show. Quest illegally used a steel chain to knock out Blake and score the "W".
Winner: Nate Quest
3. Alex Bernadino vs Jimmy Blaze
Bernadino started out in NAPW. A homecoming for him. It was also a honor having Jimmy Blaze compete. Bernadino nailed Blaze early on with a spinning clothesline. The veteran Blaze used a fallaway slam to earn a victory.
Winner: Jimmy Blaze
4. "The Difference" Joey Rose vs Mike Anthony
Great back-n-forth action. Awesome to see the former WCPW Champion Anthony use the old tree stump maneuver. Rose gave a great performance but tapped out to a half-crab. Excellent match.
Intermission
5. Grin vs TJ Steel
Huge pop for Grin. Crowd was really into this match. Steel used the classic Eddie Guerrero move by handing his opponent the steel chair and playing dead. Grin was DQed.
Winner: TJ Steel
6. NAPW Champion DOJ vs Jack Carpenter
Both men brawled to the back of the venue. DOJ nailed a very hard powerbomb. Very physical bout. The champion ended up scoring the pinfall.
Winner: DOJ
*NAPW returns to Hickory Grove in Rochelle on Friday, July 31st. It will be an outdoor event and the first over 21. There will be extreme wrestling and the Too Sexy models. Hopefully Eileen and KaDance Kelli will be in bikinis. Joey Rose won't be in a bikini (Thank Goodness). $8.00 Admission and a 8:30 PM start. More info will be posted on either this website or NAPW's Facebook page. Should be a wild, fun night.

Cool! I'll also be there. Not sure yet if i will be bringing my nephews or coming alone. I'm sure HowPathetic Howie will give us a cry-baby story why he can't join us. He'd ruin it for all the true fans who will be attending the show. NAPW always puts on a fun show. Howie, look up "F-U-N" in the dictionary. You might learn something new. Hope Anchov & Mr. slacker can finally hook up -- in the platonic sense, I trust -- at the show, & that there will be a pic of the historic meeting! Due to my tight budget -- plus my profound respect for Steve Corino -- I again will not be attending a NAPW show! Why am I not surprised that Anchov had to look in a dictionary to be able to spell the word" "F-U-N!" LOL Btw, I did look at the word in the unabridged dictionary at the local library, & "being in the same venue as (Anchov's real name)" was not included among its definitions! Someone please answer me this....Why does a complete dumb ass who never has attended a NAPW show in his life make stupid comments? If you quit stuffing burgers from Hardees down your throat on a daily basis, your so-called budget might allow you to attend a show. You'd still probably would ruin it for all the others trying to have a good time.
