BTW, the high school gym was a great place for the show. I hope the UWE holds more shows there.
Just one question--what the hell is a Flying G?

A very solid show. I especially enjoyed the Cairo/Amani vs. Blue/Gameboy and the Ramsey/Bishop matches. The Ruff/Reaper match was an interesting one with two totally different styles. The main event was good, too. It was well worth the drive to Michigan for the show. I found it difficult to believe, but it appeared that they had less snow on the ground in the central part of Michigan than we have in Chicagoland. I wouldn't have guessed that. I also saw something to make me thankful for--on the drive from my hotel in Clare to Gladwin, I met an Amish family in the horse-driven cart. Darn, they looked cold. It made me thankful to have a car with HEAT! I also am thankful that people of any religious belief can live, worship, and hold onto their beliefs. I saw two Amish families during my roughly 24 hours in Michigan. It has to take a ton of faith to forego modern conveniences and live in the manner that these folks do. Usually I'm in Michigan in the summer and often stop at roadside sales some of the Amish ladies have. I find these people very interesting to talk to. It's just they have a very different view of things than I do. Well, I digressed. However, I really had a good time at the UWE show. Unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to make it to the April show as things stand right now. I've never been disappointed with the UWE product.

What a entertaining, fun show! The Chicago Street Fight match was awesome. I also really enjoyed the Mid West Title match. It was cool to see Joey get a strap. Plus, when a show has Cyanide and Machine in the FIRST match, it's obviously going to get off to a hot start. With the exception of Road Dogg, no one gets a bigger pop than Scott Powers. My only complaint with the show was the two fellows who were in the ring right after intermission providing their rendition of musical entertainment. Anyone there saw that most of the fans were sitting there in stunned silence. To say they sucked would be an understatement. Why anyone would feel that crap is necessary at a wrestling show is beyond me! However, the great night of wrestling more than made up for those two goofs. Thanks to the NWWA for putting together such a great wrestling show! I know I'm looking forward to April.

I almost went to this. From the previous poster, I'm glad I didn't.

What an amazing show! I'm almost hoarse from all the yelling I did, and that's totally out of character for me. Thanks to everyone associated with the NWWA for putting together such an amazing show. I need to get to bed, though, as I'm off to Gladwin, Michigan, in about 7 hours for the UWE show. I'll comment further after I return on Sunday. Man, I am so pumped right now. Thanks again, NWWA.

Mizz Georgia Hase may have been the best heel of all time. Every time I'd see her in her red pants suit, my blood pressure would rise.
Go T-Birds Go! Go T-Birds Go!

It was my first Dreamwave show and I had a very good time. I thought the tag team gauntlet match was very entertaining. By far the tag matches were the highlight of the night. Also very good was the Brubaker-Boz match. I had never seen Brubaker before, and I was very impressed. As always, I found the ringside announcers an annoyance, but, fortunately the volume wasn't so loud that it completely disrupted the evening. The only other thing that I didn't like was the amount of time where there was no wrestling going on. The two Hall of Fame inductions, Paul Orndorff's talk to the audience(hooray for him for keeping it brief!), and a very long intermission added a ton of time to the show that seemed unnecessary. Still, the quality of most of the matches were above what I see at many of the shows that I have attended. The only match I didn't enjoy was the main event. There was more posturing than wrestling and the ending was not believable at all. However, I enjoyed myself enough that I purchased tickets for the next show. That's the main thing in the long run--getting people to come back. I'm guessing that most of the folks there will return.

I was certainly surprised to read the name of Don Basher in the results. I used to mark out for him so much when I lived in west-central Indiana and attended shows he was on. I'm glad to hear that he's still working.

I didn't know Jerry Butler was a wrestling fan.

He's the only fan who I have ever seen with a security guard assigned just to him. Very funny, indeed! ;D
