I do understand that, but WWE almost always has the Heavyweight title as there last match, except for special circumstances. Although there's never includes bringing in other Talent to beat one of there own stars. And it just doesn't make any logical sense no matter how you put it...
JOE IS OUTSIDE TALENT, BRING HIM IN TO DEFEAT ROH TALENT, AND PUT HIM IN OUR MAIN EVENT AFTER THE ROH HOME GROWN BRYAN DANIELSON'S MATCH. AND HE'LL DO THE SAME GARBAGE AGAIN LIKE ALWAYS, ONLY LAZIER.
I'm just gonna say it, Joe is absolute garbage, he's just a badass wannabe, and everytime I've seen him he gets worse. I'm truly embarassed for ROH because they call him a legend

He had fantastic matches and helped get the company off the ground. His matches with Ki, Punk, Styles and others showed he was the freaking man and a two year title reign showed how much ROH trusted him. He is the Legend in ROH. Yeah his matches got stale but when your so great of course your style will get stale because so many others will copy it.

His matches were not what put ROH on the map, Low Ki vs Amazing Red, Bryan Danielson, Chris Daniels, Austin Aries.
Joe's garbage, just my opinion

I had hoped to post some thoughts about this show much sooner, but RL got in the way. Since the next ROH show isn't until 1/31, I figured it was still appropriate to share some comments about this pay-per-view taping.
The biggest thing I enjoyed about this show was that fans were more respectful than they were at the previous Chicago show that I attended. Sure there were still some naysayers in the crowd, but the larger and more supportive audience was more into what was going on in the ring than being distracted by chant fights between sections and heckling for the sake of heckling. Thank goodness!
Since I had only seen Claudio Castagnoli as a face prior to "Rising Above," it was weird to see him be a heel. The banter between the taunting crowd and the angry Claudio was fun to watch, but I must admit that I miss the smiley-smiley side of Claudio.
With Ace Steel's pedigree, it's no wonder that the fans were so happy to see him back. He deserves every ounce of audience love that he gets. Whether Ace is holding his own at TPI or making a welcome return to ROH, he looks great in the ring.
I must admit that I was glad to see that the splinter between Tyler Black and Jimmy Jacobs continues. It's always weird for me to watch a wrestler be a face in one promotion and a heel in another. Black and Jacobs have come a long way from their days in Wrestling Society X, and I'm glad Black has retained the AAW heavyweight championship. I think if Black is turned face against the Age of the Fall in ROH, he'll continue to skyrocket even more than he has been. Besides, the feud between Black and Jacobs could be the stuff that legends are made of.
Although this is likely not the popular opinion, I did like the fact that Nigel McGuinness walked out of the ring and the show still the champion. It wasn't the obvious choice for the finish, and I usually like when I'm surprised at a show. Also, McGuinness is that champ you love to hate, and Bryan Danielson is that competitor that fans love to cheer. I do wonder where ROH can go with this feud, though, since there already have been several top matches involving McGuinness and Danielson.
The dark match between Samoa Joe and Tyler Black definitely had the crowd engaged. I had hoped to see more of Black's offense, but the crowd seemed to love what Joe was dishing out. It will be interesting to see if Joe alluding to ROH becoming a bigger competitor with TNA during his end-of-the-show promo comes to fruition. ROH definitely has the chops to compete with TNA. Now it's just a matter of getting more exposure to bring in new fans.
Given all the new technical equipment that ROH had for this event, I'm curious to see how the pay-per-view comes off on TV. A more professional look on the small screen can definitely help propel the promotion to a new level.
