according to the city no more then 350 but I'll say with the ring set up they wont fit more then 280. like a said It's a small place but you'll enjoy the show wherever you sit and you'll be close to the wrestlers. so pas the word and support the show

Well 250 to 400 people is a very small number to make any profit even if every seat is sold. However I have been told that the sponsors of the show plan to make their money back via the sales of beverages, food, whatever merchandise they will have available, etc. I'm guessing they are going to have to make a killing on the sales since as far as I can tell they are flying in from four to six wrestlers for this show,so not only is their booking fee going to cost but there will be airfare charges as well which are getting pretty hefty these days. Still if a rumor I heard is correct [and if it is I'll be the first to be posting it here believe me!] they shouldn't have any trouble getting people to come to the show.

Ok the main event for the event is as follows, and at twenty two bucks is a pretty good deal:
La Park and Rayman aka Hijo de Rayo de Jalisco [grandson of the original Rayo de Jalisco]
vs
Atlantis and Olimpico.
Olimpico is a definate plus on the card as he has never been brought to a Chicago lucha card and he is a wrestler at the peek of his career and in his physical prime.

;D for $22.00 it's worthed your money to see two young guys for the firs time in Chicago plus la park and Atlantis. just hoping the others promoters don't try something like get those guys before like they did with dorada and pierrrotito. one more thing who can tell me when tickets will be available and were can I get them.

ok this is a mixture of good and bad news after my weekend long absence. The good news is this is a great main event, the bad news is that from what I have just read there aren't going to be many seats availalble and apparantly it's first come first served as Luchafan posted. Ok now I will probably have to do as I said and beat people away with a metal folding chair just to get to see the main event.

As far as tickets are concerned I was told by the promoter that they would only be available at the door on a first come first served though the booker told me he would see if there was any possibility for advanced tickets, though considering the small amount of people that will be allowed inside I don't see it happening. Not only that but sometimes the people in charge of selling the advanced tickets might charge a service fee, as happened at the Garibaldi matches so it might actually be preferrable to buy the tickets at the door.
Oh and "Charlie" do you actually go around with a metal folding chair?

There seems to be a debate as to wether or not advanced tickets should be made available to this show. The arguement for the advanced tickets is that they could charge an additional handling fee and make some extra cash, which isn't such a bad idea since there is limited seating space so there won't be too much money coming in from the ticket sales to begin with. The arguement against the advance ticket sales is that there are ALOT of people in that neighborhood who would really enjoy a wrestling show in their backyard who don't get to go to the other lucha shows due to difficulties such as travel accomodations [yeah believe it or not it's not as easy for some people to get around thie city] and selling advanced tickets may actually exclude them from being able to see this lucha show. There is limited seating capacity and already it is obvious that the people in charge of the show will have to turn people away at the door, how fair is it to these people when they are already being turned away before they even have a chance to buy tickets? Since the promoters wish to continue doing shows in this neighborhood it might not be such a good idea to turn away the local fan base. So what's fair here? Sell advanced tickets and most likely sell out before anyone in that vicinity has a chance to buy tickets? Or simply make tickets available at the door and anyone who wants to get a good seat has to turn up early? Please put whatever input you have on this subject right here since this could determine wether or not the promotion keeps doing shows in this neighborhood. Considering I'm going to barely make it back in time for this lucha card I opt for the first come first served policy. If I don't get in it will be because I didn't make it in time and not because people on the internet bought the tickets weeks before I could make it into Chicago. My feeling is that the first come first served policy is the fairest way to go in this situation.

Don't really want to make a fuss here but in an earlier post luchafan you said the people putting this show on were looking to add variety on their card by booking different wrestlers from the other lucha promoters. I hate to stir up trouble but it seems I have seen these guys working for the other lucha promoters. So where's the variety? Hey I don't want to say any of these guys stink it's just that how many times can we sit through the same undercard guys? It just seems their just beating a dead horse with a worn out stick.

I'll pass along both of your concerns. And I have to add that this doesn't mean there aren't going to be any more wrestlers on the card and that you will see the same match ups you have seen over and over at the Congress. All the above statements mean is that the wrestlers mentioned are on the card and it doesn't say there isn't room for any more or that they will wrestle each other in the order they are mentioned or what not. Just show up on time and hopefully you'll see something new on the card, after all the main event has Olimpico and Rayman who to the best of my knowledge have never been brought to Chicago before.

The promoters are looking to possibly add a tribute to the late Abismo Negro. The circumstances surrounding his passing notwithstanding he deserves at least that much.

this is the card as is currently booked though there is still a possibility of at least one more match added to the card: 1st match Rey Makawi vs Angel de la Muerte 2nd match Rey Fuego & Infernal vs Kamikaze & Gringo Loco 3rd match Special tribute match to the Escobedo bros. Escobedo Brothers vs Aguila del America and El Dorado Semi main event: Octagoncito vs ? [there is the possibility that this might even be a minis tag team match] Main event: La Park & Rayman [grandson of Rayo de Jalisco] vs Atlantis & Olimpico.
