DeathGrip Pro Wrestling has been criticized for looking too much like another local promotion. In an effort to open the doors to other talent, matchmakers recently sent out invitations to several independent wrestling promotions and individual wrestlers in the Midwest asking for participants in the King of Bourbon Street Elimination Match. At first participants were hesitant, but now that the first six participants have been announced, invitees have begun responding.
