AAW TAG TITLES- DOUBLE DOG COLLAR MATCH

Saturday 8/15 AAW's "Reign of Violence" will feature one of the most personal tag team grudge matches in the companies history as the AAW Tag Team Champions "House of Truth" Josh Raymond and Christian Able go to war with Dan Lawrence and Silas Young in a double dog collar chain match. This feud has been brewing for over a year and comes to a head in just a few short weeks. Let's take a closer look at how these four men got here. * Note all of these shows are available on DVD at AAWrestling.com
2/17/07 "Bloody Valentine"- Dan Lawrence is involved in the first ever double dog collar match as he and Ryan Boz take on long time rivals the Michigan Invasion of Truth Martini and N8 Mattson. The match is brutal and Lawrence is a bloody mess as the MII get the victory. It is not the last Lawrence will hear of Truth Martini.
-5/31/08 "Fate of Eight" Tournament- Silas Young and Josh Abercrombie outlast a talented field to get to the first ever "Fate of Eight" finals with a shot at the AAW Heavyweight title on the line. The match starts out with a handshake between the two competitors but quickly gets heated. In the closing moments Abercrombie nails Silas with a low blow and gets the pinfall. Abercrombie then proceeds to bust Silas wide open with the ring bell after the contest and leaves him laying in a pool of his own blood.
- 6/21/08 "Point of No Return"- Josh Abercrombie reveals a new look and informs the AAW fans the man known as Josh Abercrombie is dead and he will now go by his given name of Josh Raymond. He tells the story of a woman in his life that has given him a new perspective and inspiration and that we would all be meeting her very soon.
- 7/12/08 "Scars and Stripes 4"- Raymond and Silas meet one on one with Silas looking to even the score. Raymond is taking a beating and retreats to the back forcing the referee to through out the match. After the bell Raymond returns and jumps Silas from behind. Silas again gets the better of the fight and locks Raymond in a submission hold refusing to break it until his girlfriend Val Malone arrives on the scene to tell Young he needs to stop fighting as she is pregnant! Raymond cowers to the back as Silas and Val embrace.
Elsewhere on the card long time AAW fan favorite Dan Lawrence defeats Zach Gowen but is jumped after the bell by the returning Truth Martini. Martini knocks Lawrence unconscious and cuts his trademark long hair. Martini warns that the "House of Truth" is coming and Lawrence is out of action for several months with a concussion.
- 8/9/08 "Fade to Black" - Josh Raymond cashes in his "Fate of Eight" title shot but is unsuccessful in his match with Tyler Black. Raymond is despondent after the loss. Meanwhile Silas Young continues his climb to the top earning a submission victory over Jimmy Jacobs.
After his third consecutive singles loss young Christian Able is persuaded by Truth Martini to become the first member of the "House of Truth".
- 9/6/08 "Hostile Intentions"-Josh Raymond teams with Keith Walker in the main event to take on Silas Young and Tyler Black. Keith Walker takes Black out of the match by launching him into the crowd. The pregnant Val Malone then turns on Silas and hits him with a low blow allowing Raymond to get the win. Raymond tells Silas he might be a father but his baby would be calling him daddy. Raymond then licks the pregnant belly of Val as the two celebrate their victory. Silas is understandably irate.
Christian Able gets his first singles win in AAW and appears to be absorbing the teachings of Truth Martini as his promo backstage consists of him chanting "Truth", "House of Truth" over and over again.
- 10/4/08 "Reign of Violence '08"- Shows begins with Josh Raymond and Val Malone in the lockeroom. Raymond gloats about how he took Silas Young's woman and is superior to Silas in every way. Val says she hates Silas for getting her pregnant and making her fat and bloated. Both men pick up victories and it is announced they will meet one on one to settle their rivalry at next months show.
- 11/1 "Massacre on 26th St"- Christian Able continues his win streak under the advisment of Truth Martini and gets an impressive win over Phil Atlas. Martini claims he is about to add new members to the House of Truth.
In the main event Silas Young defeats Josh Raymond in a first blood match. The stipulation states that with Young's victory Val Malone is now banished from AAW. Raymond is almost in tears at the thought of not having Val by his side. With his Silas is now the #1 contender for the AAW Heavyweight Title and he calls out Tyler Black for a shot at the Windy City Classic.
- 11/28/08 "Windy City Classic IV"- Silas finally gets his title shot against Tyler Black. Josh Raymond gets the mic at ringside and tells Silas that Val Malone had just gone into labor and he needed to go see the birth of his son. Silas decides to stay and fight Black for the belt but is distracted and loses the match. Raymond later reveals it was all a hoax to ruin Silas's title shot.
- 12/20 "Twisted X-mas"-Josh Raymond says he has lost his way and his inspiration with Val gone. He says she has given birth and is resting at home. He says he has found new inspiration and he has joined Truth Martini and Chritian Able in the House of Truth. Raymond and Able are successful in their debut as a tag team.
- 2/21/09 "Bloody Valentine"- Dan Lawrence announces he will return to action next month at AAW's 5th Anniversary show and he is looking for revenge on the House of Truth. In the main event The Phoenix Twins defeat Raymond and Able to retain the tag titles but the House of Truth and new member Mason Beck attack the Twins. Dan Lawrence comes to their aid but the House of Truth are still too much until Silas Young hits the ring and cleans house. Silas now has an ally in his fight against the H.O.T in Dan Lawrence and they challenge Martini's men to a match next month.
-3/28/09 "5th Anniversary Show"- Young and Lawrence are ready to fight but much to their chagrin the House of Truth no show the event and Martini hires American History Next to take out Silas and Dan. His plan backfires and Young and Lawrence are victorious. AAW owner Jim Lynam informs Martini that the House of Truth will face Silas Yuong and Dan Lawrence next month or be suspended from AAW for 90 days.
-5/1/09 "Point of No Return"- The match is finally on and it quickly turns into a wild brawl with neither team giving an inch. Late in the match Silas and Raymond are fighting on the outside when Val Malone appears in the crowd and gouges Silas Young's eyes. Back in the ring Christian Able hoists Dan Lawrence to the top rope and delievers a devastating pwerbomd through a table as the House of Truth are victorious. Young and Lawrence are furious and enter the Fate of Eight Tag Tournament hoping to get another shot at the H.O.T.
-6/12/09 "Fate of Eight Tag Tournament"- Young and Lawrence/ House of Truth both win their respective first round matches and are set to meet in the second round. Silas Young confronts AAW Heavyweight Champion Jay Bradley in the ring after a backstage encounter and the H.O.T take this opportunity to strike. Dan Lawrence comes to his partners aid but is chokeslamed through a stack of chairs by Raymond and Able. Lawrence is out of action and Silas must go it alone in a handicap match. The House of Truth are too much and hit the devastating "Tower of Truth" on Young to make it to the finals and ultimately win the tournament and the Tag Team titles. Martini uses a contract stipulation to bring Val Malone back to AAW as the House of Truth becomes the most imposing stable in AAW.
7/11/09 "Scars and Stripes 5"- Young and Lawrence call out the House of Truth to end their issue once and for all. Martini accepts the challenge but says it won't be tonight. After the H.O.T successfully defend the tag titles Young and Lawrence hit the ring and a wild pull apart brawl ensues. They announce that Jim Lynam has signed A double dog collar match for "Reign of Violence".
Just a few short weeks and it all culminates at "Reign of Violence". Can Silas Young and Dan Lawrence finally get their revenge or will the House of Truth continue their dominance in AAW. Expect a brutal and bloody war as these men are connected by steel chain in only the second Double Dog Collar match in AAW history.
