I'll admit that the November show wasn't as good as the one in October. I really enjoyed the October show a lot. The one in November still wasn't bad. Yes, Silas no-showing did suck but they still did their best to put on a solid show and it was only $10. The NWA-Midwest Tag Team Title match was entertaining. I still like the young stars in Matt Cage and Kyle O'Riley. Not every show will be great but at least you can tell that RWF is putting in an effort.
I like the fact that RWF is a solid independent promotion that comes out to an area away from Chicago or the Burbs. Ashton is a short drive and the venue was nice. I really hope RWF returns in 2010 like they said.

I enjoyed the last show despite some problems with some no shows. As for yarders that was mentioned before let us not forget some big names in wrestling these days started as yarders.IE... CM Punk.

Bobby Valentino was a good start the show as he easily got the attention of the audience. After that first match, the show kind of fell flat until The Hooligans match. The Mason Beck match and the tag-team tile match were good but the main event was something you would want to forget. The Chief in the main event wasn't the problem but what happened to him in the match was. The standout moment of the show was when he took a fireball from The Chief and that wasn't good because it offset any peaks of the show. In most cases, the last memory of something is the most lasting and anybody that was there for the first time would have understandable questions on why they came. This was just a show that was tough to built a fan base off of.

Matt & Jeff Hardy were "yarders" as well. Hope RWF resurfaces in 2010.

Matt & Jeff Hardy were "yarders" as well. Hope RWF resurfaces in 2010. This is not directed at RWF directly but just because there are current WWE superstars who were once yarders does not mean someone should not complain about yarders being used on shows advertised as professional wrestling. I am sure when Matt and Jeff and CM Punk were yarders they were not capable of putting on the matches they can now. So it was the fact these guys went on to get training and learn that changed them from being Yarders to being quality workers capable of working for the "E". So people Please stop referring to workers who went to get training when someone complains about Yarders being on shows...once they go on and get trained they are no longer yarders. IF there is ever a day where someone bypasses all training and goes straight from being a yarder to working for the "E" with no training then this argument would hold water. Just my opinion. Now back to the original post, between Sterling, Rock Falls, and Dixon you can't find a building?

No that has nothing to do with it... can you read? and Mason works in several organizations with creditability The RWF being one of them.... so I highly doubt everyone would agree with you... I know personally I don't...

I was saddened to hear that RWF wouldn't be doing a show in December, but it's understandable given the circumstances.
November's show was okay, given what Mr. Hubbard had to deal with (no-shows and whatnot), but hopefully this hiatus will be temporary and that they can refine their product for a stellar 2010.
I've been to all three RWF shows and I've been impressed with how well Mr. Hubbard's been improving. While October's fantastic show with Steve Corino is tempting to use as a benchmark for all future RWF shows, I'd be thrilled if he were to continue using local talents who'd benefit from the exposure and experience, while we fans get to see some up-and-coming talents at a good price.
It's a shame that more locals and wrestling fans are not attending the shows. A new, homegrown indy wrestling promotion is right in their own backyard and no one here is attending. While I can only imagine the amount of work that is put into each show, I'd like to help out in any way that I can. Getting the word out is the biggest problem for any indy show, so if you have any ideas or would like to help, please contact RWF.
Let's help make 2010 a great year for RWF!

I know personally I don't... I agree. Mason Beck is a good worker. Unfortunately, the people that are attacking some of the RWF wrestlers are not fans, but are actually other wrestlers that worked the show. They pose as fans on here to attack the other workers that they don't like. That is part of the reason I rarely post on the Chicago board. Too much negativity and manipulation. Let the attacks on me begin..........
