Wow. For Lawler to call Beck more lifeless and annoying than Michael Cole.....that's something. That promo must be played in the building.
Truth delivers again. What more can I say?

Next Friday night AAW once again returns to 115 Bourbon St for a huge event titled “Path of Redemption”. The card is stacked as usual and in the coming days we will take a closer look at the show starting with the main event that pits Champion vs Champion. AAW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE ( C ) w/ Val MaloneVSNo one has been on a hotter streak in AAW in recent months than the Heritage Champion Michael Elgin. The “Unbreakable” one has rattled off victories over Alex Shelley, Arik Cannon, Mason Beck, BJ Whitmer and last month scored a clean pinfall over the Heavyweight Champion Silas Young in a tag match. Silas’s epic title reigns have been well documented but it was apparent when he was in the ring with Elgin last month that he was having trouble dealing with the Canadian’s mix off agility and brute force. Now the match AAW fans have waited months for is going down as Young puts the coveted AAW Heavyweight Title on the line against Elgin who has looked nothing short of unstoppable. Can the savvy champion find way to escape Bourbon St with the strap or will Michael Elgin make history and hoist both AAW singles titles over his head at Bourbon St next Friday night? www.AAWrestling.com

Today we continue our preview of AAW’s “Path of Redemption” going down in just under one week at 115 Bourbon St. with a look at an AAW Tag Team Title match featuring two unlikely duo’s. AAW TAG TEAM TITLES ( C )VSLast month AAW kicked off 2012 at the Berwyn Eagles Club with the “Chaos Theory” event and one of the biggest happenings was the crowning of new AAW Tag Team Champions Jimmy Jacobs and Arik Cannon. Jacobs had originally declared his intentions to go after Silas Young’s Heavyweight crown but he was attacked by the Irish Airborne. No expected Arik Cannon to come to his rescue as no one even knew he was in the building. Cannon had lost a bloody “I Quit” match against Jacobs back at the Windy City Classic and he was serving a 90 day suspension per the pre match stipulation. Cannon explained that while he and Jacobs could not stand each other they had to respect each other after their bloody feud of 2011. The match was on and the unlikely duo pulled off the upset and defeated the Airborne for the prestigious titles. Also on last month’s card was an incredible match between the grizzled veteran BJ Whitmer and the young high flyer from St Louis Mat Fitchett. Whitmer punished Fitchett for much of the contest but the young man showed incredible heart hanging in there and coming within a hair of winning the bout on several occasions. In the end it was Whitmer who was victorious via submission but post match both men embraced and Fitchett, (complete with a beat red chest from Whitmer’s chops) actually thanked the experienced vet for the match. The bout received a standing ovation. Jacobs and Cannon had an open contract for “Path of Redemption” and that contract was signed by none other than Whitmer and Fitchett. Now next Friday night the Tag Team Titles will be on the line as AAW’s odd couple make their first defense against one of the toughest vets and one of the most explosive high flyers on the scene. Several sub plots will come into play here including Jacobs long storied history of wars against BJ Whitmer. Can Jacobs and Cannon coexist or will Whitmer and Fitchett be able to function as a unit and take the gold at 115 Bourbon St? www.AAWrestling.com

Just one week away now from AAW’s return to 115 Bourbon St for “Path of Redemption”. Today we take a look at a very interesting bout. CHALLENGE MATCHJERRY "THE KING" LAWLERVSEver since it was announced that Jerry “The King” Lawler would be competing at AAW “Path of Redemption” there was much speculation as to who his opponent would be. We found out after last month’s show that AAW Heavyweight Champion Silas Young was actually ready to square off against the Memphis legend, however after Michael Elgin pinned him clean in the center of the ring there was no doubt Elgin would step in with the champion in the main event next Friday night. Silas Young blamed Mason Beck for his lose last month and scolded Beck telling him that if he doesn’t pull his weight he will be out of Young’s stable. He also arranged for Beck to take on Lawler to prove himself worthy of continuing to hang with the champ. Beck warned Lawler that he would he make a name for himself at the WWE Hall of Famer’s expense. Lawler quickly shot back at Beck on YouTube telling him it would be no easy task to make a name of the “King”. Next Friday night one of the most promising and dangerous talents on the scene today takes on a legend of the wrestling business when Mason Beck and Jerry Lawler meet one on one. Will Beck get the biggest win of his career or will the “King” prove Beck is not quite ready for prime time. www.AAWrestling.com
