Here are some news items heading into Scars and Stripes in a couple of weeks.
6/20- We have new tag team champions in Dan Lawrence and Ryan Boz. Thought by some to be a long shot in the 6/10 tournament they pulled off the upset outlasting Jimmy Jacobs/Zach Gowen and Eric Priest/Chandler McClure in the final. The road for the new champs will not get any easier as many teams are waiting in the wings for a title shot. Lawrence and Boz have their first defense 7/15 at Scars and Stripes
6/20- Keith "Venom" Walker is back and he's pissed off! Walker made his surprise return during the Main Event on 6/10 and took out Eric Priest, Chandler McClure and Danny Daniels. Walker feels he is the uncrowned AAW champ after never being beaten for the belt and along with Ego have promised to make life hell for JJ Inc, Danny Daniels, and anyone else who gets in their way. Walker and Ego will be in Berwyn for Scars and Stripes and word has it that Jim Jesus and Danny Daniels have been petitioning Billy Whack to keep them from the event!
6/20- After an intense battle with Marek Brave on 6/10 AAW champ Tyler Black must now face his biggest test since winning the title when he is challenged by Jerry Lynn at Scars and Stripes. Lynn gets his first ever one on one shot for the belt and has promised Black's days as champion are numbered. One has to wonder if we have heard the last of Marek Brave. The AAW champion and JJ Inc definately have alot on their plate at the moment.
6/20- Scars and Stripes will see two long standing rivalries come to a head in stipulation matches as Bryce Benjamin takes on Chandler McClure in a submission match and Silas Young defends the AAW Heritage title against Jason Dukes in a Chicago Street Fight!
6/20- Flash Flannagan debuts for AAW on 7/15. Those unfamiliar with Flash will be most impressed as this young man has held titles throughout the country including OVW and has had an impressive run in Puerto Rico as well. The only question now is who will Flanagan be gunning for at Scars and Stripes?
6/20- Have we seen the end of High Society? It looks that way as young Weston Benton nailed his mentor Derek St. Holmes with a low blow costing them their match in the tag team tournament. Eric Priest has also distanced himself from the group and we'll have to see how this plays out in the months to come.

Hmmm... I havent decided whether to go to AAW or IWA after TTW. Flash Flanagan vs Jimmy Jacobs might get me to AAW. Nifty.

I find it mad interesting that MPTKO13 and Danny Daniels are making all the big show announcements. Shouldn't Billy Whack be doing this? He is the CEO, after all.

This Saturday, July 15th AAW returns to the Berwyn Eagles Club for it's biggest show of the year. This Saturday AAW presents the 2nd annual "Scars and Stripes". Wars will be waged and scores will be settled as AAW showcases the finest talent in the Midwest. Let's take a look at the card.
MAIN EVENT- AAW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
Tyler Black w/ Jim Jesus (c) vs. TBA
AAW HERITAGE TITLE- STREET FIGHT
Silas Young (c) vs. Jason Dukes
A rivalry that has spanned over many states and many promotions comes to a head this Saturday as Silas Young takes on Jason Dukes in a Chicago street fight. Dukes has been a thorn in the Heritage champion's side for quite some time and last month went as far as to hit Young with a fireball! This match will be an all out war as it is come as you are with no disqualifications. Dukes is a desperate man and that makes him even more dangerous. Remember the Heritage title hangs in the balance.
KEITH WALKER AND ROBERT "EGO" ANTHONY WILL BE AT SCARS AND STRIPES
Walker and Ego are back and they are ready to reclaim their spots in AAW. Both men former AAW champions and two of the corner stones of which the promotion was built, Walker and Ego are out for vengence on those who have done them wrong. Danny Daniels, Eric Priest and JJ Inc are all on their hit list.
SUBMISSION MATCH
Bryce Benjamin w/ Lucas & Jadie vs. Chandler McClure w/ Jim Jesus
A battle of former "All Stars" partners as these two men will meet in a match were the only way to be victorious is to make your opponent tap out. This one is very personal as Bryce and Lucas were humiliated and beaten down by McClure and JJ Inc in May. McClure is known for his submission finishers and rumor has it Benjamin has been training with the best submission fighters in the area in preparation for this match.
CHALLENGE MATCH
Jimmy Jacobs vs. Flash Flannagan
Flash makes his AAW debut and has issued the challenge to Jimmy Jacobs. Both men are extremely skilled and well matched. Flanagan looks to jump right into the thick of the title picture while Jacobs looks to get back in the hunt. This one has show stealer written all over it.
DAN LAWRENCE AND RYAN BOZ DEFEND THE AAW TAG TITLES
Lawrence and Boz shocked everyone when they won the Gold Rush tournament last month. Now they must prove they are worthy champions and have an open contract at Scars and Stripes. You can bet a number of teams are waiting in the wings for a title shot.
SIX MAN TAG
Stu Early/Jayson Reign/Marco Cordova vs. Michigan Invasion (Martini/Mattson/Zach Gowen)
Safari Stu teams up with Reign and Cordova to take on a common enemy- the MII. The invasion knocked Reign and Cordova out of the tag team tournament when Gowen nailed Cordova's injured shoulder with a cane. Safari Stu still has a score to settle as MII helped to end his friend Machine's career. MII travels in a pack and the big man Eddie V may be making his presence felt in this one.
CHALLENGE MATCH
Magnum Gary Havok w/ partners of his choosing vs. The Lady Thrillaz
After months of begging Billy Whack for a spot on the roster (and generally being a disturbance at AAW events) Gary Havok will get the chance to round up some partners and take on the Lady Thrillaz. Gotta wonder who in the locker room would want to team up with Havok? We'll find out this Saturday.
Also appearing: Eric Priest, Danny Daniels, Marek Brave, Trik Davis, Mississippi Madman, Tweek and Dash Phoenix and more!
All this plus the AAW debut of "The Man Beast" Rhino!!!
You never know what will go down in AAW. Do not miss Scars and Stripes this Saturday and find out why AAW is…..

Due to an injury, Jerry Lynn will not be competing on Saturday. Added to the show will be "The War Machine" Rhino. Rhino is a current TNA superstar and former ECW and NWA World Champion.
