Whoa I love the Congress Lucha Libre events. all of them Rocky's ADC's whomevers. La Parka, Maestro Misterio & Blue Demon Jr These men rock they throw it on the line. i was at the last show Blue Demon & Rey fought, It atarted as tag Partners and Ended with them at each others throats. If you are unsure Rey is holding a Hardcore belt. Yes thats HARDCORE i didn't realize Blue Demon even Qualified to compete for such a prestigious Title.

Something More we all Agree that Single matches are better, But a sweet triple threat match sounds F'n Awsome to me. I would like to see some more unity with the local Chi-town promoters though. I've heard alot of negative Buzz regarding the $ peeps. When all the Fans know they are the power behind these shows, I challenge all you Netizens to come out to the Congress & lay some Audible SMACK down. Let these promoters know who and what you like.

Arenas de Chicago REALLY needs to sell that Mistico/Park vs Rey/Wagner DVD already.

I guess I'm more waiting for them to sell it to people who don't already go to shows; buy it online or thru the mail or whatever. The programs they were selling at last show indicated they'd do that, they haven't, and I know people who'd buy it.
Agree to disagree about the last tag match; the Mistico/Park vs Wagner/Bucanero was the my favorite match I've seen live this year (including the DG Trios from ROH), and Demon/Rey vs Arkangel/whomever wasn't near as good.
I think we're going to disagree on this one too, but - if Rey Misterio is going to be recoginized for his accomplishemnts, and what's he done for the business, and his history, why did Misterio wrestle the last match here wearing the mask he lost 18 years ago? Is he going to do the same this time? (He's on the poster that way.)
All the guys who've lost masks in Mexico do the same thing when they come to Chicago, so I don't fault Rey for being any different, though it does hint a little bit what they think of Chicago. Since it's been established that this is what people will do, I don't have a problem with it normally, but it seems weird to acknowledge a man for what he's done in his career while ignoring one major part of that career.

Dragon asked me:
"hey Charlie,
Are you going to the show this sunday? "
My answer is No.I am currently living in Indiana so driving to Chicago with the price of gas is a hassle.I went to the previous lucha show at the Congress where Blue Demon and Rey Misterio were supposed to wrestle Villano 3 and Arkangel.Villano didn't show up and the main event match really stunk. This match was supposed to set up this upcoming match on Sunday but I didn't enjoy that match so I will not waste my money on gasoline plus the cost of the ticket to get in to see wrestlers who will not be giving me my money's worth.
The show Rocky is putting on looks to be alot better.I'm not the biggest Parka fan but he can give a good show.Blue Panther may be a little older now but the guy still has it and can work in that ring.Tarzan Boy is a Guerrero Infernal and that's all the incentive I need to see him.Heavy Metal I'm not so sure of.I have never seen any of his matches that makes me go "Damned he's great" but with the other three guys it's more than enough to make me want to go.And I understand Super Astro is also on the show.I've been told he still can work in the ring.

I hope the Titles on the LINE or WTF. ADC gets the best talent along with other area promoters. i Think the Congress is some how divied the Talent is all there however i don't think they can get the story straight. one day its this match then a dif. La Parka Rocks but there is an imposter around or two so unless its the real Chairman who cares. Mini Charlie Manson Is phenomena. ok so lets see your whiney A** es there Raise the roof at the Congress JULY 23rd or Julio if you prefer.

If I have counted right this would barely be their second show here at the Congress. And if it is your opinion it was a sloppy show hopefully all of you would understand why I am so reluctant to waste my money and drive from Gary,Indiana into Chicago just for any lucha show.

Wholy snitzkys how many Luchadores can you get at one show. from the talk over heard more wrestlers then contracted showed up to this event. i find it really awsome that so many want to wrestle for this group, they don't even need to sign up they just have 20 or so show up and put their body and talent on the line for the Best fans ever.

Uhm...I know that Super Astro has his own restaurant in Mexico and all.
But did they have to include a picture of a hoagie in this promo? Is that his finisher? The dreaded Torta Plancha off the top rope?!?!?
All jokes aside I am seriously planning on attending this event.
