Really and that is your opinion... the opinion of one man, and quite honestly it doesnt matter... who are you.. do you wrestle.. do you have anything to do with wrestling other then sitting at your computer typing about it or watching it on tv "the truth"... give me a break ok pal.... like CrimeFighter said, you can join the growing list of nameless, faceless people who bash everyone for no good reason. If you have a real complaint, if you have a real issue with NBWA, and think we are making "other people look bad"then come to a show and express your concerns, because honestly your opinion on this message board will not shut us down or do anything other then take up a couple minutes out of my day to respond to your dumb ass... so if you wanted to accomplish something you did... you accomplished wasting my time. Congratulations!

I agree w/Crimfighter. There is no need for this. I myself have been to a nbwa show and Mr. Morales and all the guys in the locker room were very professional. Was there show the best I've seen...? NO Were the guys out there, reguardless off how long in the buisness, doing the best that they can...? Yes Im sure that all the guys there are training and/or still being trained, but for you to come out here and start the bashing is wrong. Just because "you think" that they are yarders. And by the way how do you know that everyone is laughing at them?

Well, I was just commenting on the statement you made about having "young guys that have been in the business for 1-2 years". Just wondering, who trained you? Because, I'm thinking you're just a bunch of yarders. My point is: stop giving wrestling a bad name. Everyone is laughing at you. dude you are dumb. i honestly haven't seen a NBWA show but i have seen some of their talent and they are really good

I think NBWA just prompted Mr. Slacker to give one of his longest reply's yet. Thanks to both you and NickH for the kind words... Nick's right, maybe we arent the greatest wrestling show you will ever see, and guess what we have never once claimed to be the greatest... but we are working are asses off weekly to bring a better product and its people like "thetruth" that just feed the fire... you ultimately try to bad mouth and berate us on this site, but in the end all you do is garner us more hits, so that more people read about the show and for that I say thanks.

¿Qué?
Not heard of Potencia and Mercurio Jr. before; I've got a list of AAA shows back to '04 at my finger tips and don't find their names. Perhaps it's a different AAA in Mexico than the AAA I'm thinking about? Riiiiiiiiiiight.
The bigger problem here is you're saying "guys from AAA are bringing in La Parka", which is actually diminshing the value of bringing in La Parka. If these two were from AAA and bring in their La Parka, you'd be getting a lesser/ripoff, which would be disappionting to any Mexican fans who know the difference. The one you're bringing has to be the one from WCW and the original - the AAA one never leaves Mexico - but the way you've phrased it, you've actually confused the issue
You need a better cover story for your faux-luchadors. Instead of proclaiming them as a members of a major promotion - where the only people impressed would be the people who could easily figure out the ruse - you need to go a bit smaller time, where things are more uncertain.
How about...
or
The key to creating faux-luchadors is picking a town that's not Mexico City, Tijuana or Monterrey, because you're safe in obscurity. Get an atlas and you're set.
Also, for the love of god, promote him as a Mexican superstars towards Mexicans, because he actually really is, and it's far more meaningful than his WCW stint.
I'm only trying to help.
(unless you're just sticking someone inside a La Parka suit; if so, let's pretend we never talked.)

On the serious side the whole "phony luchador" thing is starting to get attention in Mexico City and the wrestlers over there aren't happy. Before their wrath was directed to promoters on the Mexican side of the border who used local indy guys in souvenir masks passing themselves off as big name stars. However recently there are now wrestlers complaining about the southern california lucha scene which has also seen it's rash of phonies,so how long is it before they set their sights here in the Midwest?Things aren't as closed off as they used to be thanks to the internet and the wrestlers do find out about this stuff. Now any small time promoter will say "Hey I'm not hurting anybody by putting in a faux [add luchador name here] who'll wrestle in front of no more than two hundred people" but the problem is you all do hurt people:the fans.Because eventually the real guys will find out,and will eventually refuse to work in Chicago or L.A. or wherever else they tend to show up.I sure as hell wouldn't want guys like La Parka or Dr Wagner Jr to stop coming,as it is they don't come up often enough as it is[despite the contrary that people say they bring La Parka way too much]after all it wasn't that long ago when it was a rare occurence to get a good lucha card in the Chicago area.

I know for a fact that one of the lucha guys from the last show, his family did not speak english. I had a brief conversation with the family using my little bit of spanish. I also know that he showed up in a car with texas license plates and had his mask on when he showed up.

Very true.. there was an older man with them, who was very interested in the show.. and was talking to them in the back working there match out.. I'm assuming Mercurio Sr. I will get more info from them in the weeks to come.... Good observation Floyd... I am not the promoter, I only wrestle and try to keep us posted here on the internet, so some of my info could be a little off. I have no problem fixing it when people point it out. But i did find out like you said they are from South Texas and recently moved here to illinois.
and yes like true luchadores they wore there mask the entire show. I dont believe I seen them take it off.

Well im not on here to bash anyone, thats juvenile and childish. and ive been to a few of the NBWA shows and yes they do have some yarders, like jason vendetta and pain train, but i seen some quality workersin the six shows ive been to i very much like the don though he dont do a lot hes one of the most agile big guys ive ever seen and as far as a manager hes even better, angelo santelli is also good, pitbull, jeckel ,diego, cobra, matthews, and the dangerboy and cecil cerveses are among the elite in the promotion i even like the funny little cheap shot gimmick. and some of these guys are going to be some real talent in some prominent places. cecil has the psychology down as well as matthews and cobra, diego and the don are magic together i seen them in rantoul IL together i see the next great worker manager tandem in the buisness diego is funny and entertaining and as far as evil, the don is it, and the man can wrestle i also seen him in danville, i have not seen a big man bump like that ever!!!!! i was at a show sunday and seen him kick some other guy i forget who because the kick was so remarkable to even remember, he made sweet chin music look stupid. another guy to watch for is the slick nick guy he plays a good heel as well if he sticks with it he can be pretty good. so stop knocking these guys, the are real good, take a day and go watch them once then talk until them GROW UP! and yes im a worker in NEW MIDWEST, we rule IL but NBWA DOES NOT DROOL (LOL)

I wouldnt call Pain Train a yarder. He is a good worker, with great size. J-Mac I am not sure who the guy above is either. I was at the Sunday show, but I did not recognize anyone in the crowd who may work for New Midwest.

Well, I am Pain Train. And if you have a problem with me I would like to know why. As far as calling yourself a worker for New Midwest. I would like to know who you are. Because we have had a few guys from NMW come wrestle for us, and none of them were at the show Sunday. We have had Billy Morgan, Steven Bishop, Hardcore KC, and Mississippi Madman down plenty of times. And you know what Billy Morgan will be back in September and is actually my tag team partner. So for you to claim your a worker for a company is a lil odd, since I recognize most, if not all the workers from in and around the area, and if not me, well I'm sure ISUPhloyd who was in the crowd would of recognized you. Its not like we had hundreds of people in the crowd. So you come on here saying your not trying to start sh*t, yet your calling people "yarders" and everything else, yet you choose to remain anonymous. Give me a break, at least you hit the nail on the head and gave the proper credit to the other guys. As far as you bashing me, your about the only one. I had a nice amount of people come up to me after the show, and tell me how they enjoyed my stuff. So whats your problem? If you have anything else to say you can do it over on our boards. nbwa.suddenlaunch3.com/
