The show is "Free".So just show up![Note take money since they always charge for ringside and buying a soda or a beer costs the same as having your appendix removed!!!]

Do they realize they are competing with RoH in Chicago Ridge? The Congress Lucha shows and roh have two totally different fan bases.

Lucha shows are geared towards Mexican fans who don't know or care about someone named Colt Cabana.
They know and want to see La Parka.

I don't agree with this. If it was physically possible for me to go both this weekend, I'd go to both. I do agree that the People In The Neighborhood who go to lucha libre based on being lucha libre probably don't know/care about the ROH product. But I think there's a segment of fans who go to ROH shows who are less fans of ROH than they are good wrestling in general, and would go to a lucha show if they thought the main event (and possibly other stuff) was going to be real good. I think those people will all head to the ROH show, because there's more trust, and they're promising more than one great match; lucha's only even mentioning one match. Y'all may know better than I, but I'd guess the promotion didn't know ROH was running the same day when the booked the building, and probably don't care all that much if they've since found out. And I don't think they're wrong. Typically Annoying Lucha Show Goofiness - this thread and Congress' site say free tickets - the Arenas de Chicago site - who may not even have anything to do with this show, but who can really tell - says $10 GA, $15 ringsideIf I thought I could call someone and get a clear answer, I think I actually might do that, but even that seems iffy.

I think you're getting your promotions crossed here.As far as I know it is Rocky Roman putting the show on.ARENAS DE CHICAGO will only provide undercard talent and possibly the ring.I have been told that ARENAS DE CHICAGO wants to do ANOTHER show in September with Blue Demon Jr and Rey Misterio.I didn't go to the one in July but was told the attendance was dismal, probably no more than 250 people,so why keep booking wrestlers no one wants to see?

Just got back from a quick chat session with my buddy Raul who usually has the scoop on the lucha shows at the Congress. He confirmed for me that this is indeed Rocky's show, that ringside will indeed be charged, though how much he doesn't know,he says that the security staff usually changes everything at the last minute so it can be anywhere from ten to twenty dollars, but that most likely the cheap seats will be free, and as for the undercard he said he doesn't know, that there are some issues that need to be worked out between Rocky and some of the undercard workers. That's all he said as he was busy in other matters on the internet.

OK Lets get some things straight, The show in July was not dismal. They had more then 250 people show up. Second, Charlie you always talk about thing you don't know nothing about. ( Sometimes your worst then a little KID). I talk to people in Arenas de Chicago and they never said that Blue Demon JR & Rey Misterio are coming back in Sept. show. I wish would would let the promoter do their job. BEFORE YOU TALK OR POST SOMETHING, FIND OUT THE TRUTH. If anyone want to find out the truth visit thier Web Site @ geocities.com/arenasdechicago and send them an email, you can also contact them at arenasdechicago@yahoo.com. (You got that Charlie).
