Kermie, why isn't this show just being run under the UCW banner? It's not being run under the UCW banner, because the owners/promoters of UCW are not involved with this promotion as either owners or promoters.

Also I didn't know that there was a "law" about two federations using the same building I don't believe that to be unprofessional. I don't know who you are so I'm not going to come to conclusions but you obviously weren't taught that you don't go into someone else's building without their permission. I understand IWA isn't running until March and they probably won't return to Midlo. Did you even check with the building to see if there were other shows booked at the venue. I feel really bad for VWAA who is obviously booking a lot of shows in the area and trying to grow their product only to have another company come in the following weekend and have the people of the community choose between two shows. This is why the whole Chicago area is watered down. Every swinging dick wants to run a show, using the same talent. At least you're coming in with new talent that has never been here before but you are coming into an area that has more wrestling than we know what to do with. People mentioned in another thread that people don't like it when new companies come into the area. Well of course all of us in the area are gonna get pissed. Whether it be AAW, IWA, Elite, VWAA, Slam, or Windy City, we're all trying to establish a product in the area and make money. All of us work hard at what we do to try and bring in bigger crowds. It gets irritating when new companies spring up, run 1 or 2 shows and then are done because they water down the area and the fans end up spending their money on something that doesn't show longevity in the area. Just so you know, the rule isn't written in stone, it's just something you don't do in pro wrestling. Ok, fans have a choice to which show, which talent, and what type of wrestling they want to go see. Whether it be hardcore, WWE, TNA, or indy related. I am not running against any other promotions that night that I am aware of. People can still go watch the AAW, or VWAA shows the week before the week after and come to mine if they like. There are enough fans to go around. If you don't like one promotion or who they are using then you go to another one. There is no intention to "steal fans" or is there an intention to only run 1 or 2 shows. Chicago is a very large city with many fans and so why not give them a choice when it comes to wrestling. And once again why does it matter so much that more then one fed uses the building. There are only sooooo many locations to run a show, and I'm sure VWAA didn't check or care that IWA was using the building. If you don't like the fact this fed is starting then you don't need to come to a show or support it. Sounds like you just are trying to run the fed off before it starts because you are afraid of competition. Perhaps?

Not afraid of competition at all. We have our own thing going on. I'm concerned for the state of pro wrestling in the Chicago area as new groups form they choose to piggyback off of the hard work of everyone that was here before them by not going out and finding their own buildings. There are plenty of buildings in the area, you just have to work to find them. The fans do have a choice, and they usually have a choice of several shows every weekend around the area. I commend you for bringing in talent that isn't seen in the area. I don't want to run you guys off, I just wish you wouldn't have run a building in the area that is over exposed to wrestling.

I honestly didn't know that another company was using it since IWA is out. I have spent a lot of time searching for a location but many of the local park districts want an outrageous fee to use the space or don't want wrestling there etc....I also contacted high schools local gyms and had no luck. But let's move on from that. There will be a lot of new talent to the area that is amazing and will provide a hell of a show!!!!! The intention is to keep this a long standing thing, and I hope that by having new and different talent to the area it will be.

Let's see, IWA, PCW, RGW, WCCW and I think 1 or 2 more companies have run in Midlo. Who did VWAA get permission from to run in Midlo?

how many buildings has VWAA already run in? Pretty soon they wil have run in every building south fo the Loop, so all of them belong to VWAA? We run in three main buildings: The Industrial Studio in Lansing, the Civic Center in Orland Park and the Rec Center in Midlo which we signed a long term deal with this year, which we were not going to announce until after January, but now the cat's out of the bag. If the people you talked to over there did not know about our deal with them, then the building management is lacking in communications skills with their staff and we will have to take steps to correct this. However, if you did not ask, that's bad ettiquette on your part.

Honestly the building didn't say, but why would they. You signed a multiple date contract just like I did, but it doesn't mean they won't let other people use the building. You did not sign an exclusive deal with them They aren't going to turn down money. This is personally a little ridiculous two feds can use the same building. We aren't the only 2 feds using Midlo, but you don't seem them complaining. Who cares I'm over it, if people can't get over the fact that the park district lets multiple feds use there location then don't use the place and go back to your other buildings. I could care less that VWAA is using the same building as I am . Once again there are only so many places to use in this area. Case closed. Get over it and grow up a little bit. We aren't in high school anymore, and this whole thing is childish

Wrong, it's business, and if you take money out of my pocket by coming into my building and forcing people to choose, which they will, then I'm justifiably angry. And since you seem to know so much about who uses Midlo and how few buildings there are in the area please educate the rest of us as to who the other promotions are. Outside of RGW which only ran the first show there, the second was in Streamwood, IWA was the most recent lesee of the building and they are not going to be running anywhere for a while, that leaves us and you. Now honestly, I wouldn't want your payroll for that night because I don't think you will sell that many tickets but to me that's not the point. You're stealing from me and I don't like it.

If your fans are truly fans of your promotion then they will still go to your show. Fans are allowed to go to more than one promotion so who is to say they won't go to your show and the next week go to my show? No one is forcing anybody into the building for any one show. And as far as my payroll I've already sold tickets.
