Fire Pro Wrestling: Nov. 17th 2007: Ground Zero results
1. The Groucho Marks (Gilbert Lewis + “the Moustache Model” Carl Morris def. the Rejects (the Lost Soul + “the Fallen Superstar” Chris Styles)
-the match started out this way, when early on, Carl Morris suffered a stinger in his neck from a DDT. When Carl was helped to the back, Christopher Kent made his way out to help Gilbert score the victory over the Rejects with a battering ram.
-Double J then introduced the new Fire Pro Wrestling Commissioner, “the Big Jack” John Burke. Burke informed the crowd that his first order of business was to suspend Tristin Hayze for 30 days due to him cutting Chase Richards hair after the strap match last month. Burke warned the wrestlers in the back that there was a new sheriff in town. Burke then announced that the February 16th Fire Pro Wrestling show entitled Heart Break Hotel will feature WWE legend the Honky Tonk Man.
2. 24/7 Hard Target Championship Match: Dave Allen vs Christopher Kent
-this match never got the opportunity to start as Dave Allen jumped Christopher Kent from the entrance way and brawled with him to the ring. As they got to the ring, Dave Allen smashed Christopher’s knee against the post and then proceeded to tear his knee apart with a chair. Burke came down to ringside and threw the match out. While it is a 24/7 Title, he expects the wrestlers to abide by the laws laid down.
3. “the Mat Mechanic” Devon Fury def. Hoss
4. The Uprising (“Warfare” Jeremy Hadley + “Mucho Loco” Luis Rojas) def. Angus McDuff and the Crusader
-after the match, Hadley called out Jynx, challenging him to a 1-on-1 match right then and there to prove he’s got what it takes to take on the Tag Team Champions.
5. “Warfare” Jeremy Hadley vs Jynx—Double DQ
-Rojas continued to interfere on his tag partner’s behalf. Finally, enough was enough and Roach came out to even the score. This lead into a 4 way brawl seeing the Tag Team Champions, Risk Factor clearing the ring of the Uprising.
6. Team Omega (“Diehard” Steve Szoke + “Youngblood” Hayden Kent) def. the “New” New Breed (“Handsome” Kenny Courageous + “Sexy” Shawn Cook)
-outside interference from Cade Lee almost led to the New New Breed winning. While Szoke battled Cade on the floor, Kenny called for a chair and Devon Fury came out to stop Kenny from using the chair. Kenny accidentally punched Cook in the face and Hayden took advantage by hitting the pedigree on Cook for the win.
-Christopher Kent came back out with his leg all bandaged up and told the crowd that he was willing to fight. Being the holder of the 24/7 Hard Target Title meant a lot to him and was willing to defend it in any condition. Dave Allen answered the call.
7. 24/7 Hard Target Title: Dave Allen def. Christopher Kent
-after the match, Dave Allen called for the mic and declared that there was no one past, present or future that would take this title from him. This led to Gilbert Lewis running out and hitting Nerd Power to become the new 24/7 Hard Target Champion.
8. Pride Title Match: Chase “the Face” Richards def. “the Big Texan” Mark Houston
9. Fire Pro Heavyweight Title: Cade Lee def. Roach
-AMAZING match that saw all kinds of action. Cade Lee won with a lariat and then after the match, told Roach he was going to pay for Steve Szoke humiliating him at the last show. As Cade Lee began to beat Roach, this brought out Jynx to make the save, which then brought out the Uprising. Eventually Szoke ran out as well. As soon as Szoke ran out, Cade Lee ran from the ring. Szoke hit the belly-to-belly suplex on Rojas and Risk Factor hit TKO-450 combo on Hadley.
