"Feature Presentation" Johnny Mac def. Fuzion
Mac and Fuzion had a very competitive match, ending when Mac reversed a crossbody into a pin. After the match, Mac let everyone know that while Fuzion was good, he was great and it was time for him to get back "his" title.
J.T. Simmons def. "American Classic" Chris Hamilton
Simmons and Hamilton were very evenly matched. But a beautiful young woman in a business suit distracted referee Patrick G and Hamilton. This allowed Simmons to ambush the "American Classic" from behind and pinned him. Afterwards, the woman handed Simmons a business card and left.
C.I.A. def. Gridiron Grapplers w/December
The crowd was clearly behind the CIA in this match. Both teams brought a hard-hitting physical game to this match, with the CIA picking up the win with an elevated neckbreaker on Joe Heisman. Afterwards the Grapplers attacked the Chicanos in Action. Steve handcuffed Diablo to the ropes and beat him with a kendo stick. Joe hung Damian in the tree of woe, put a "Dead end" sign over him and while wearing a football helmet delivered two harsh headbutts to the sign. The Mixed Breed came out and ran off the Heismans, but the CIA were physically devestated by the attack.
MIDWEST TITLE
"Master Technician" Jay Phoenix w/PL Myers def. "Hot Bod" Shawn Davis (c)
Davis was far more physical in this match than we'd seen before, hitting Phoenix with some hard clotheslines and chops. Phoenix brought his a-game delivering several of his suplexes and submission holds. Phoenix got the win by reversing a victory roll by grabbing the tights. Afterwards, Rick Knight and Whiplash joined PL Myers in celebrating with the new champion. PL promised a holiday surprise for Knight and Whiplash later in the evening.
"Party Animal" Wally Wilde def. The Foreign Exchange
This match started out as Wilde vs Jean-Paul Bassay, but after throwing Bassay over the top rope, his partner Uzi Akiva challenged Wally to take them both on. With Commissioner Shnog's approval the match was on. Wilde was able to take advantage of both men's relative inexperience and got the pin on Bassay. Afterwards Wilde splashed Akiva on top of Bassay.
TAG TEAM TITLES
Body Count def. The Chicago Connection & Mixed Breed (c)
This match was chaos with three teams vying for control. The end came when Rick Knight was distracted by the Breed attacking Whiplash outside the ring. PL Myers came into the ring and handed his cane to Body Count, who used it to clock Knight for the pinfall. This was PL's surprise! Afterwards, Body Count and Jay Phoenix attacked Knight and Whiplash with chairs before leaving.
Sacrifice vs Jarod Priest goes to draw
These two former world champions squared off in a very technical match. Both men hitting some very impressive wrestling moves. End came when Sacrifice reversed Jarod Priest's inverted DDT into a diamond cutter. Both men were stunned but got an arm over their opponent. Referee Lou Tufano made a three count and called it a draw.
HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE
Ares def. The Butcher (c) w/the beautiful and talented Sam Hart
Butcher and Ares finally squared off in a match that had been brewing for the better part of a year. Both men beat each other as hard as they could. PL Myers came out and slid the title belt into the ring while distracting the ref. Ares caught Butcher in a float over attempt and tombstoned him on the title for the three count. Butcher was busted open in one of the sickest bleeds we'd ever seen. Body Count, Phoenix and Ares all took turns attacking the Butcher before tossing him out and ended the evening standing in the ring with PL and their new championships.
