We would like to thank everyone who has supported the VWAA through our recent loss. As the fans present on the 1-26-08 show, as well as most loyal fans of the VWAA know by now, referee Bobby J’s father passed away suddenly mere seconds before the start of the show. All of our most heartfelt condolences go out to the Jurek family. We know that Bob Sr. is finally resting in peace.
After we were able to quickly gather our wits, we were able to put on a show worthy of dedication to Bob Sr.
Juggalo J-City came to the ring with a purpose, to take back what is rightfully his, the VWAA Hardcore Kingship. Oddly enough, it appears that C-Red chose to come to the ring once more as his alter ego The Scarlet Mask. There are already MANY speculations about this particular match. J-City defeated The Scarlet Mask in less than 30 seconds with a sickening stool smash against the hooded noggin of the man supposedly C-Red. I’m having a few problems with this match. Considering C-Red’s first outing against J-City, his sudden loss seems out of place, as if C-Red paid off some street urchin to take his place as The Scarlet Mask. Why would C-Red do this? First of all, it came down from the VWAA board that C-Red would have to do this match alone. Anyone interfering with this match would be heavily suspended and fined. So, maybe a decoy was the best choice, but if it was a decoy, why did C-Red not accompany Trauma later in the evening when he took on Jordan Pryde? Even further, Dameon Dunn won a battle royal and as everyone knows, the VIP Family never passes up a chance to celebrate and gloat. What is known is that The Scarlet Mask was seen leaving the VWAA Industrial Studio via ambulance with various VIP Family members joining him and seeing him off. At any rate, Juggalo J-City made a point to the VWAA fans and championship board. He is and always was the Hardcore King.
Winner and still VWAA Hardcore King; Juggalo J-City
Bitter at the world, Studd Muffin came to the ring being led by his grounds keeper Michael Lopez after Isaias Velazquez had already made his entrance and announced that he had a special opponent for Isaias. After many verbal bashes against both Isaias and Lopez, Studd shocked everyone in the building by stating that Lopez was in fact Isaias’ opponent for the night, and to further add insult to injury, Studd attached a special “orange selling” clause against Lopez if he didn’t win the match. The match was hard fought, student against teacher. Surprising to many, Lopez put up one heck of a fight clearing absorbing all of Isaias’ previous lessons, but in the end, the student fell to his teacher. Isaias was quick to shake the hand of Lopez and the two celebrated together regardless of Studd Muffin’s grinning. The next time we see Michael Lopez, he’ll be selling oranges if Studd Muffin has anything to say about it.
Winner and still VWAA Circuit Champion; Isaias Velazquez
Don T Trust was the hired mouthpiece that got the duo of Thomas Sinclair and Lamar Titan, otherwise known as Fall in Ruins, the number one contention position match against none other than Team KO. The action for this match was non stop, and to say that these four men kicked the snot out of each other is a huge understatement. The action went in and out of the ring many times, but finally fed up with the perpetual stalemate, tempers flared and a brawl emerged on the outside of the ring that resulted in a double count out. It will be interesting to see if Fall in Ruins take on Don T Trust again, perhaps on a more full time basis like The Arabian Death Dealer has done.
No Contest; double count out. Fall in Ruins -vs- Team KO
Studd Muffin still has no love lost for The Unholy One, Baltazar. Night after night for every match Baltazar has, Studd Muffin sits at ringside sneering, waiting for someone to pull off the win over the man from Mideon. Johnny Wild put his man Ben Cruise up against Baltazar, but unfortunately he didn’t get the job done. In the beginning of the match, Cruise put up a good fight, but inevitably Baltazar’s strength and size prevailed. (And the couple cheating miscues didn’t help Ben at all either.) Baltazar grabbed the mic after his win against Cruise and went on a tirade against Studd Muffin and the situation at hand. He publicly refused to take part in the battle royal happening later in the evening stating that Studd Muffin wouldn’t get him to work twice in one night.
Winner; Baltazar
The main event saw The Urban Gladiator, Trauma against the VWAA Best Face of 2007, Jordan Pryde. Trauma was escorted to the ring by no one other than his own talent, which literally speaking is more than the man needs. There were no VIP Family members at his side even though they were in the house. (This of course brings back the Scarlet Mask issue.) Anyway, Trauma proved that he alone is man enough for any challenge that will ever come his way. Jordan Pryde came to the ring paying homage to the passing of a star by wearing special ring attire, and further added a comedic, lighthearted tone to a dark night by brandishing enormous foam fists. Trauma, on the other hand, failed to see the humor and did not take lightly to the constant jabs to the face by the foam fists and quickly took to his brutal nature. Trauma repeatedly beat down the super hero, but the fans refused to let Jordan down and backed him up every step of the way. Jordan was able to get the pin on Trauma, who was admittedly shocked, and offered The Urban Gladiator an open right hand to congratulate his perseverance, but Trauma refused and angrily left the arena.
Winner; Jordan Pryde
A battle royal finished the night off. The remaining three were The Amazin Kuan, Trauma and The Urban Beast, Dameon Dunn. Kuan received a mass beating and was eventually dumped over the top leaving Trauma and Dunn in the ring together. Seeing that Dunn is a firm believer in business is business and family is family, it was no surprise that Dunn eliminated Trauma to win the battle royal. Dunn used the win to get a hold of a mic and express a few of his feelings. When his thoughts turned on the VWAA Championship and how Dunn feels he should be champion, the sounds of growling and barking filled Industrial Studio and Mad Dog Ivan Manson entered the arena. The two big men shared a heated exchange in close quarter, but head referee Steve Cain quickly got between them to prevent a possible brawl.
Winner of the battle royal; The Urban Beast, Dameon Dunn
Again, the VWAA would like to thank all who attended and we thank all the warm wishes and condolences that have come in for the Jurek family. We look forward to seeing everyone again on February 9th.
