Anyone who thinks this has anything to do with the RCW that ran in that area 6-7 years ago, well...there's a bridge in Brooklyn I'd like to sell you the deed to.

While the promoters may not be the same... from what Ive heard they are trying their best to bring back the original revolution in every way, shape, and form. I wish them nothing but the best of luck. Im very interested to see how things will go.

So it's a sad attempt and a knockoff of a promotion that's already failed once in it's first incarnation. I hate to sound so negative but I can't see this being a smart move for whomever is running the show.

Not really. Say what you want about the current state of Powerhouse, but it never went belly-up like RCW.

I meant 2 people trying to run the same entity or likeness and claiming that 1 version is better than the other based on who was or was not involved.
Which for the sake of correcting myself this current "RCW" is not doing - but you are implying that they can not or will not be what the old RCW was due to your personal preference. It seems they just want to run a show and let fans in the area that used to know RCW as a staple be familiar with a quality product of wrestling.

You've lost me on the comparison to Powerhouse. Say what you want about Tim Lyle, but he started his promotion from scratch and didn't try duping fans in an area to believe they were going to see a promotion in which the only thing it will have in common with the original is the name.
The fans in the Illinois Valley area will be in for the same treatment as old ECW fans have been for the last few years. They will see a familiar promotion's name on a poster but what they get will be nothing like what they expected.
You are correct in one aspect - I will hold off my judgment on the show until I see the line-up. Maybe they will pull off getting some of RCW's talent. As much as I was an RCW-hater from way back (that was due to the promoter - never the talent), they did have a great lockerroom of workers.

While some of the original Revolution Talent may have moved on... Im almost certain there will be some old faces at Rebirth... I would be very shocked if there wasnt, However I have no idea whats going on with this show... Im not on it and I have nothing to do with the promotion of this show... I for one am very excited to see what the card will be, but only have one question... What about the Revolution Heavyweight Champion...

RCW back in the day is something that will be next to impossible to recreate. I wish these guys luck, & may even show up to this event. I just truly hope that they don't screw the pooch on the event by tarnishing the RCW name. I'd really like to know some of the roster or this show. At least give the fans the main event. You're 3 weeks out & I have not seen any flyers in the area. There is no buzz around here for this show. Now IMHO, if I were using the RCW name, I'd do all I could to create word in the area & have at least the main event announced. I will agree with Tobi for the most part on this...I don't think it's a great idea, but no one has any reason to pass judgement yet.
