Here are the official results for April Bloodshowers Part 2 in Joliet, IL:
1. Sal Thomaselli/Ash def. Soul Touchaz (Trauma & Marshe Rockett) w/ C Red & Dymond. Sal cut a promo before the match to let everyone know that Ash is a changed man and is fighting for the good side now and is worthy of the fans' support. Very good back and forth action. Sal & Ash have good chemistry and their past history of tag team experience allowed them to work well together. They pulled out the victory after a series of double team kicks and enzuirguries followed by a running lariat from Sal. C Red shook their hands after the match in a show of respect for Sal & Ash being the better team on this night.
2. Yellow Dog def. Hunter Matthews with a rollup
3. Bad Breed & Mickie Knuckles def. The Hooligans (Mason & Devin Cutter) & Rain in a Chicago Street Fight. This one was brutal and a slugfest from the start. Mickie wanted Rain badly for cheating to win in the First Blood match last night in Bellevue. Axl had his ear taped up that they tried to rip off with the twine through the piercing. Bad Breed finally gain the victory with a double chairshot onto a Hooligan. They then tried to one up the Hooligans and they took out a pair of scissors and started to cut the singlet off the Hooligan. They started yelling about how they were going to give him a Bad Breed Circumcision and just before they could get to the family jewels, the third Hooligan, Neil Diamond Cutter ran out to try to save his big brothers. The Hooligans and Rain were able to get out of Dodge before any serious damage was received.
4. Keith Walker w/ Chuck Smooth def. Michael Elgin in very quick fashion. Michael Elgin should not have even come out for this match after the brutal beating that he received in Bellevue last night with the 3 sit out Choke Bombs. He put up a valiant effort and showed tremendous guts to demand to go through with this match but it wasn't the smartest move. Walker almost broke Elgin's neck with this brutal overhead suplex that caused Elgin to land right on the top of his head. Walker then put a chair necktie around the neck of Elgin and delivered a vicious chairshot onto the necktie to further damage the neck of Elgin to get the pinfall. Walker kept yelling at Elgin that he was going to end his career before leaving.
5. Bill the Butcher w/ Kimberly Kash def. Stephen Saint. Saint attacked before the bell by throwing Kimberly Kash to the canvas and jumping the butcher while he still had the black hood over his head. This only angered Bill the Butcher until he finally used his thick heavy chain to drill Saint in the face and then rake it across his face several times while Saint was tied up in the ropes. A running kick to the back of the head was all she wrote for Saint.
6. Juice Robinson def. Ryan Phoenix. This time Juice Robinson had the home crowd advantage and it showed. This little rivalry has heated up and after last night's brawl around the building in Bellevue including the piledriver in the bleachers, the action was fast and furious from the start. Juice gets the win by learning from his mistake last night. He again went for the flying crossbody and Phoenix again rolled through it for a pin attempt. HOWEVER, Juice was ready for it this time and he rolled through and got the pin on Phoenix to even the score in their series. Ian Rotten came to ringside and said that he was in a giving mood tonight and he is known for giving opportunities to young talent and letting them prove themselves. Next month, it will be Ryan Phoenix vs. Juice Robinson one more time...the winner gets into the 2009 TPI. He thanked the two of them for all the hard work they put in to helping set up and tear down and this was their reward. The chance for the break of their career. However, he told them this is their only chance. Others will receive multiple chances to get in but these two kids only have one way in...by beating the other.
7. Jason Hades def. Brian Skyline with a Killswitch. After the match, Ian Rotten gave Jason Hades an invitation into the 2009 TPI.
8. Egotistico Fantastico def. Ricochet with a Japanese Vertebreaker. Unbelievable match between two of the best high flyers in the indies. Ricochet broke out one of the most amazing dives to the floor that I have ever seen that had too many twists and spins and flips for me to even count. After the match, Ian Rotten made Ricochet an offer. On May 2nd, Ricochet will do battle with Ego in a rematch. Ego will put his spot in the 2009 TPI on the line for Ricochet to win...HOWEVER...if Ricochet loses, he can not be an entrant into the TPI for the next 3 years!
9. Dingo def. Prince Mustafa Ali w/ Chuck Smooth to retain the IWA Mid-South World Heavyweight Title with a single leg Boston Crab. Chuck Smooth interfered early on and busted open Dingo early on. Dingo is a tough fighting champion though and overcame the 2 on 1 odds to not only make Ali tap out to the single leg Boston crab but gave one to Chuck Smooth after the match for good measure. Dingo then got on the mic and talked about how he wants to prove himself to be the greatest wrestler on the planet and the greatest IWA Mid-South World Heavyweight Champion of all time. He then said that it is his dream to wrestle the American Dragon and prove that he is the best.
Jim Fannin then came to the ring carrying the Light Heavyweight Title and told Dingo that he is indeed the best wrestler out there right now but in order to top the likes of Bull Pain, Mitch Page and Rollin' Hard, he needs Fannin's help. Fannin tells him that he's managed 6 different guys to 8 different IWA Mid-South Heavyweight Title reigns and that he can get Dingo the matches that will put him on the map and prove his greatness. Fannin then tells Dingo that Ian Rotten will never do anything for him other than give Drake Younger and Jimmy Jacobs countless title shots and that Ian makes a mockery out of him every show because the Yellow Dog is Jaysin Strife. This infuriates Dingo and he calls Ian to the ring to ask him if the Yellow Dog is indeed Jaysin Strife. Ian tells him that he doesn't know who the Yellow Dog is but there would be no one more upset than him if it were Strife. Ian then says that Sox isn't in the crowd so it could be Sox and not Strife. Ian then calls Fannin the "world's biggest sh*t stirrer" and tells Dingo not to listen to a guy that goes around stealing belts. Ian and Fannin go face to face arguing over whether Fannin is the champ and Ian yanks the title belt away from Fannin and tells him that he isn't the champ because he isn't man enough to get in the ring and earn a title like everyone that came before him and that Jimmy Jacobs is the rightful champion. Fannin then said that if the title meant anything to Jimmy Jacobs that he would have been there tonight to get it back from Fannin. Ian gave the title belt back to Fannin and said that it would be more joyful to watch Jimmy Jacobs came back and kick Fannin's ass and take the title belt from him instead of just giving it to Jimmy himself. Dingo gets involved again and tells Ian that he will never forgive Ian if the Yellow Dog is Jaysin Strife and then Dingo leaves the arena with Fannin! Ian and Axl couldn't believe that Dingo would side with him.
10. Corporal Robinson def. Dysfunction in a No Rope Barbed Wire Match following several bootcamps into a pile of barbed wire that Dys had cut free.
