In a rather strange and unconventional manner, Rey Fuego and Tokio Lee have gone public to admit that they are in collusion with one another to ruin Yakuza and end his career on Sunday Night, January 22, 2012 at the Berwyn Eagles Club during Lucha Libre Total's inaugural event Rebirth. Yakuza has been performing professionally for the past 15 years under a mask that has protected and sealed to hide his identity entirely. The mystery and intrigue behind his mask is peculiar. There has always been speculation that the shiny colors of his mask, including silver diamonds, might indicate that there are riches to be found. The protection of the contents under his mask might be just as important as his impending identity. I have not been informed about any response from Yakuza, but LLT officials have remained silent about the issue. An impending contract meeting and signing between all the LLT participants is in the works. Over the next week or so, the public announcement of some of the bouts will be made. Stay tuned.
Also, we at MAW/LLT appreciate the warm post about the 27th ad from Marc on this thread for a great fed that will put on another terrific show in the same location later in the week. The wrestling fan benefits when there is good competition from all organizations in the same locale. Everyone will be sure to keep it in mind and thank you for posting. We wish all parties the best since mostly all of us are professionals who show pride in the wrestling business and see several places for others to show off their talented brands in creative and different ways.

A huge acquisition was recently made as Maximum Assault Wrestling will be bringing in tag team action on Sunday Night, January 22, 2012 at the Berwyn Eagles Club in Berwyn, IL. However, it is not just any other ordinary tag team. When you think about dominant alliances with strength, size, power, agility, continuity, and success, there are several tag teams that come to mind. Take a team with these awesome attributes and add factors such as entertainment, sense of humor, intelligence, and brute force, it narrows down the field considerably. So, who has been added to this star studded line-up? The Urban American Dream Willie Da Bomb Richardson And The Urban Ghetto Gladiator Trauma are in MAW as Team Dammit Returns!
Team Dammit is ready and willing to go to battle against the best in MAW and the entire midwest. They are one of the most decorated and experienced local tag teams in recent years. Team Dammit will have a chance to earn a top contender's spot for a future MAW Tag Team Title match down the line. The current arrogant, yet talented, tag team champions, The Pinoy Prodigy Chris Masangcay and The One And Only Infamous David Tower, collectively known as the New Carribean Cartel, do not seem very concerned about the competition. Regardless of their opinion, Team Dammit has caused devastation and destruction all over Chicago and especially Berwyn in the past. Will Team Dammit be able to blast off and truck down the competition at MAW's first Chicago event? Or, will Team Dammit in 2012 meet a force that is as intimidating and crafty as they are? You'll have to see this for yourself!

The show at the Berwyn Eagles Club on Sunday Night, January 22, 2012, in Berwyn, IL has just been cancelled as of 9PM on 1/4/12. Please note that Maximum Assault Wrestling will post details on their inaugural Chicago show to take place in the near future some time soon. We are sorry for any inconvenience that this has caused. If you would like to read more details about this situation, then feel free to continue reading and/or send me a private message.
There is a lot of conflict and friction that can be caused when two professional wrestling organizations attempt to work together, share costs, book talent, and produce a make-it-or-break-it show. The financial parties and sponsors involved with this show experienced significant creative differences over the course of the past several days. When one party backed out, nearly all other parties could not envision the show taking place successfully without a significant financial burden being suffered.
As a wrestling fan for 30 years and in my humble honest opinion, cancellations can be among the most disappointing and unfortunate reasons why wrestling organizations lose fans and affect public views negatively. In this circumstance, the money was available to have the show, but the financial visions were clouded with confusion, fear, and uncertainty. With that in mind, both Lucha Libre Total and Maximum Assault Wrestling have great talents that will eventually be showcased, and we hope that fans will not give up on either organization to bring a satisfying product to the forefront.
Lucha Libre Total and Maximum Assault Wrestling intend to run shows separate from one another in 2012. Their partnership for this show did not flow as expected. On behalf of all parties, we all share a deep apology to the wrestling fans for what should have been a night with great action, huge shocking returns, and surprises that would have had fans talking the next day, week, and month.
Maximum Assault Wrestling is on the verge of setting a new date and finding a different venue to host their inaugural Chicago event. When that information becomes available, a new thread will begin.
On a personal note, as The Articulator, I wish that the show could have gone on. Also, I will still continue to give each and every one of you the best possible explanation of the details regarding what is going on from one moment to the next.

So, the late great Ed Chuman has made an appearance in this thread. Who's next? Snowflake?
I say the free beer giveaway is what caused these two illustrious feds to end their historic partnership!
