If I didn't do most of my surfing in front of others, I would be banging my head on my desk.

Maximum Assault Wrestling has held multiple shows around the Cleveland, Ohio area over the past couple of years. Maximum Assault Wrestling was originally created to bring a unique blend of wrestling styles together, incorporating independent performers from all over the Midwest and Northeast.
In the rebirth of the company in the Chicago area, MAW is taking in talent from a variety of independent organizations in the Chicagoland area in addition to Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, and Indiana. Their shows are unique where the components of entertainment, story lines, and professional wrestling are incorporated. However, the wrestling is the key intricate part the puzzle.
Lucha Libre Total is a relatively new league that will be bringing in a lot of local lucha libre talent from around the area. Like MAW, there is agreement that the in-ring product takes precedence over much everything else.
Both organizations on their own can hold impressive shows. As a matter of fact, models of business plans indicate more shows for both companies in the long run. MAW will have their own shows, and LLT will have their own events. On the other hand, both companies want to showcase to a grand audience what both are capable of in one night. Both promotions are putting their resources together to create 2 for the price of 1: two shows mixed together to make one huge event. In several ways, it's a bargain. The show is $10 for adults, and $5 for children 12 and under.

That is a very good question. I shall do some investigating, and I will try to get back to you soon enough.
Over the summer, the MAW Heavyweight Championship was defended in Lorain, Ohio in a Steel Cage match as David Tower defended against Lex Vegas. The match was brutal, bloody, and intense! Both men suffered injuries that evening as David Tower had to get staples on a gash on his head while Lex Vegas broke his wrist requiring surgery. Lex Vegas, with a broken wrist, won the match and the championship with a DDT on the battered and bruised Tower.
Lex Vegas was out of action for over three months due to his broken wrist, and he had a metal plate and screws put in. He has since rehabbed his wrist and has started to workout regularly. Hopefully, he will have a speedy recovery.
Since Lex Vegas did not defend his championship in a reasonable amount of time, MAW officials held the title up and declared it vacant. Shortly thereafter, the two top contenders did battle as Brutus Dylan defeated David Tower to become the MAW Heavyweight Champion.
Although I do not have definitive stats on Brutus Dylan, he is a very tall and a very large heavyweight with exceptional stamina for his size. He has successfully defeated everyone in his path, and he wants to take his streak to Chicago to defend the MAW Heavyweight Championship and bring more recognition/prestige to the title.

Thanks to everyone who have been regularly checking this thread as we receive more updates on the big show Sunday Night, January 22, 2012 at the Berwyn Eagles Club for Maximum Assault Wrestling and Lucha Libre Total.
Steven Drochner has been added to the MAW half of the lineup. As a four year pro out of NWA Underground, Drochner has good ring awareness, quickness, combinations of moves, and dedication. He wants to impress the fans in Chicago with his heart, hard work, and effort as he climbs to the top one step at a time. Despite being small, he has impressive in-ring skills to display.
Lupillo El Terrible is one of the loudest and most hated of all the Chicagoland area luchadores. He has been added to the Lucha Libre Total lineup as he intends to break every rule and intimidate fans by any means necessary. There are a lot of people out there who would love to teach this guy a lesson. Only time will tell who he will be competing with on that particular evening.
