Back in the day, AWA, NWA and WCCW were PG shows too and very entertaining to watch unlike the WWE today. I agree, the PG rating does not matter.

The folks at Great America were really nice to talk to.
Great America was one of the companies I was in negotations with Windy City Wrestling awhile back but the company disbanded before anything came about. They (Great America) were still highly interested in a wrestling show. Glad to see that they will have wrestling.
This was just when Reid-Anderson became CEO in 2010. Great guy to talk with. He can also be seen greeting the guests at the gate.

I lived in Freeport for over 7 years,....its like a 2.5 to 3 hours drive from Chicago. Drive early otherwise you'll get stuck in all that college football traffic on I90.

Just announced ... THE POLISH CRIPPLER is flying in from Warsaw, Poland at this time !!!
Also..ladies title match will be Champion Mia Martinez vs Mickie Knuckles. Rumors of Amy Henning to appear at Toyota Park are only rumors !!! Nothing official.
Just added...Middleweight Champion "Freebird" Buddy Jake Roberts Jr w Manager Psycho vs Justin "Dont call me Sparkles" Reno
Buddy Roberts had this to say ... "Sparkles..welcome to my Vagas, boy!..Badstreet USA.!!.where I carry the Gold, have all the Women, drink the town dry, and thave the most well known name in the Midwest. You'll be facing the Future of Chicago wrestling and what a roller coaster ride I will put you on.. but in the end, just like your stinkin money, your luck too will run out..forever !!" And...Abyss will be in a gauntlet style hardcore wrestling match ..so far signed are Bundy and DOC. Rumors have it that many of the WCPW wrestlers are scared to face Abyss after seeing what he did to Rob Van Damm and Kurt Angle on TNA.
All President Sam DeCero said was "I can't worry about Abyss right now..I booked Abyss for his money's worth..I have more than enough wrestlers and if I have to break some rookies into this sport by throwing them into that ring like meat to a lion..I will !!!"
Great seats still available for only $10 !!! Free Parking !!! And yes there will be a JUMBO-TRON !!!
More matches yet TBA !!!

Overpriced? TF South is setting prices for all groups. $10 or $15 are not bad seats.
The ticket prices were setup according to other school events that they host primarily school dances and renting spaces for arts and crafts shows.
As for the proceeds from the show, they are going to help support the spring/summer sports program which includes : Baseball, softball, track and field, soccer, golf and tennis.
Go Rebels !!!

Ivan great idea. But who is going to put the bell on the cat?
Maybe give Sam a call or come in to visit to discuss this option with him. Im sure he might be all for the idea if like you said everyone can work together for a great cause. Would make for an exciting and unexpected tournment of current and former WCPW stars.

Here is more of the truth by BobbyJ..
Barry's promo is justified..and here is why... Dont read this if you cant handle the truth....
Wrestling is a marketing game. One way is to market by name...or by popularity. There is always someone on anyone's roster who is the most popular. At this time for WCPW it is Barry Ryte. Could be argued but here are the facts::
1) More fans buy tickets to see him at this current time. He has a huge fan base that continues to grow at a high rate among the teenage gals who love him.
2) His autographs are in high demand than anyone else's on the roster. Barry is the only wrestler I have seen who is signing during a show non-stop. He has even been seen signing autographs before a training session for his fans. Again..most of his fans are the teenage gals who adore him. I have not seen anything like this before.
3) He is one of the youngest WCPW wrestlers to be wrestling out of state not only because the fans love him..but he can wrestle and fill the seats with new and returning fans too. and he puts on a hell of a show.
Therefore like any wrestling or sporting team, the captain always gets the spotlight. Think about the 80's...more promos were made with Hulk Hogan than lets say Leaping Lanny Poffo.
Does having one wrestler have the spotlight lead to cracks in a federation? ..yes but it can produce a great rivalry among wrestlern ..look at the Freebirds vs Von Erichs, who had the spotlight and were not willing to share it with anyone. Another example,,,,Hogan vs Heenan's family.
It makes sense..you market the hell out of your key player(s). This is how the rules of sport marketing works. If im wrong correct me.
If they made a rookie baseball card of Barry..Barry whould be the Mikey Mantle rookie card that is highly valued. The fans determined the value not the wrestlers.
My suggestion is if one wants to be top dog, come to practice, pay your dues, cut promos and bring in your own fans to fill the seats to cheer you on. All Chamapions in my opinion should have a fan base that continues to support them at every show. Dont rely on Barry to fill the seats with his fans and expect them to cheer you on.
As I said before..if you dont show up for practice how do you expect to cut a promo to evn market yourself? Fans will never know you exist. This applies to both the men as well as the ladies.
