BobbyJ here...Im tired of all this WCPW rookie bad mouthing.. SO here is the truth.....
First..many of the current WCPW were young fans of WCPW when Lee Sanders was wrestling. Maybe they didnt know him personally but they saw him as a "wrestler".. a hero and role model. Some of these fans became wrestlers thanks to men like Lee Sanders..and now they are carrying on the tradition to keep the Sanders memory alive and respect his legency!!
Second...As for the vet roster...WCPW always welcomes their roster to come in on training days to do promos. No one that I know who has shown up and is ring ready has been refused a promo. If a veteran is not there for training or falls behind on dues, kind of hard to be seen on promos.
Third..But eho is Barry Ryte ajd is he the future of WCPW? Barry is the new generation of WCPW superstars. He along with many of his fellow mates has spent more time in and out of the ring training and then most of the current indy veterans I know.
This new generation of WCPW wrestlers work as a group. It reminds DeCero of the old days of training and is why moves like the piledriver has been lifted. Even though many dont have the ring time, history or experiences shared by men like Boz, Hell's Cowboy or Mad Dog Manson, these guys are spending on average 4 times a week in training and the results are seen the high quality shows that have been out on this year in 2010. This is a die hard new generation of WCPW wrestlers that will soon impact the Midwest independent feds for years to come. Give it time and they will produce the ring time, have the experience and will make their own history. Men like Barry Ryte and Buddy Roberts Jr already have writing the first few pages of their history..more will follow.
While many of the past and current WCPW vets are now in their 30's and some reaching their 40's..many who are long gone,semi-retired or thinking of retiring...WCPW continues to add more and more rookies to their training school.
It is this new breed of wrestlers lead by the likes of Barry Ryte, Buddy Roberts, Mannix, Mulligan, DTA and the Black Panthers, Justin Insane and Lopez and many many more names that I failed to mention are the true future leaders of Midwest indy wrestling. I hate to say it but in 5 to 10 years from now..it will be these rookies that will be in high demand and that will replace the Steve Boz's of today.
Just think..if 350 people came to St Florian to see a bunch of rookies put on a show that only veterans can put on..what a bright future WCPW will have !!

Battle of the Belts is and has been a Windy City Pro Wrestling product that has been used for 22 years now. WCPW does not endorse nor support this event.

Special thanks goes out to all the 350 plus fans that cheered and even booed the guys. Im sure most of the wrestlers have writer's cramp from all those signatures they were signing. I been tols this was an awesome show. Even the fans were shouting to the Black Panthers that they were the best Tag Team in the world...but that might be pushing it too much Order of elimanation friom the Gauntlet : G-block pinned by Even Money, NBK by count out, Even Money pinned by Tommy, Tommmy pinned by V-Factor and V-Factor pinned by Roberts. Congrads to the new champs. Who would have thought that in 2010, gold would be brought back to BadStreet Atlanta GA ?

BobbyJ here with a one on one interview with our newly signed former VWAA superstar - Micheal Lopez.
Q - Hi Mike, thanks for joining me for this interview. This been almost 2 years now since we last you in Chicago Pro Wrestling..what happened?
A - First, I like to thank all the guys at WCPW for their warm welcome and especially Sam DeCero for accepting me into the company. I finally feel like Im in a family that respects the work I am capable to do. Reason I was gone for the sport I love for so long was that I felt I embrassed not only myslef, but my Mexican background, family and fans by being forced to be something that I was not..a Mexican Gardner owned by JJ Valiant aka Studdmuffin when the VWAA was formed. I got fed up with the act and left being so ashamed on how I sold out.
Q - What made you decide to come to WCPW?
A - When I found out that Justin Sane aka Juggalio j-City came to WCPW, I had to go to a show to check it out. I was impressed. After meeting with Sam DeCero and displaying my ring abilities to him, he really wanted me as part of the family with full character control. This is the first time I really felt welcomed in something I love to do. I really missed it and Im glad Im back.
Q- What kind of Character are you going be?
A - Simple..I want to be myself. What you see in the ring will be the true me not no slave, not no disrepected guy forced to dance in the ring, not someone who is a seen as a joke to make a manager look good. Just being myself is all I want to be. I will give the fans a great wrestling match every time.
Q- So when will you make your first ring debut?
A- This Saturday at November to Remeber, the contract has been signed. I will face Justin Sane. Yes we may be friends outside the ring..but believe me..when we meet in that ring in a few days, he will see the real Micheal Lopez...THE WRESTLER..not some joke selling fruit for a cheap laugh. Those days are long over.
In closing..Good Luck in you match Mr Lopez and we look forward to your debut this Saturday !!!

BobbyJ here..after reviewing the replay to see if Buddy Roberts Jr got out of the pin by the count of 3 did not show enough evidence. There is movement by Roberts but no hard evidence to show that he beat the 3 count. It was a very very very close call is all I have to say.
Yes Justin Sane was formerly known as Juggalo J-City. Glad to see you back bro !!
Thanks to Ronnie Vegas who made the showbefore to hitting the HorseHorse Casino. Hope to see more of him in the future.
As for MizFit Mannerz...he might..I'll admit.."MIGHT" have beaten the count of 3. But again the pin goes to V-Factor. However my decision still stands and V-factor won the match fair and square.
Congrads to the new champ..Shawn Mulligan. Im sure this fued has only started.
Til next time...

BobbyJ here..only a few more days til Monster Bash so everyone been asking the same questions: q1) Where was Mulligan ? a1) Perhaps drunk somewhere and lost track of time..who knows? All I know is he promised WCPW he will be there this Saturday sober or not. q2) Who do you think will be Buddy Roberts Jr partner? A2) First congrads for Buddy for winning WCPW 2009 rookie of the year. This will be his second show in a row that he will be in a tag team. Last show he teamed with Psycho and Anthony. Psycho be a strong partner...then again Roberts' dream is to reunite the Freebirds by teaming with Terry Gordy's son Jesse but he is with the WWE. Im sure finding a partner will not be difficult for Roberts. Knowing his family it could be anyone in pro wrestling ! Guess you have to buy a ticket and find out for yourselves. Q3- Whats up with Barry issuing an open challenge? A3- The WCPW 2009 most popular wrestler might have an ego trip but the fans especially the young ladies (18 to 25) worship him. Be careful what you ask for because when you're on top, you fall the hardest. DTA did mention that he is the gentleman the ladies want and desire..could he be the one to accept the challenge? And rumor has it that a former VWAA champion has signed with WCPW for the long term.

BobbyJ here for the lastest and greatest WCPW news...
WCPW is currently busy making deals with several venues as of late. Yes we are planning to not only run out of the studio but also in several locations throughout the midwest. This is one reason why I have been so busy as of late with little time to post on this board.
Also many new faces have signed with WCPW this year which is keeping our training staff lead by Sam DeCero very busy to provide the fans with a high quality wrestling show for you and your family's enjoyment. Please continue to come to the show to see the new talent as they make their debuts in the upcomming months.
And For the fans of "Freebird" Buddy Roberts Jr.... Roberts Jr is 110% healthy. Soon to make a serious run at a championship. He is schedule to make an appearance on the Sept 26th show
Freebird Reunion: This past Monday at Raw in Chicago..the "Freebirds" (Michael Hayes, Roberts Sr, Roberts Jr and Jesse Gordy ) had a reunion backstage. Roberts Jr officially informed his fellow Freebirds that he has begun training with WCPW. Hayes and Jesse are just thrilled. Although he has a long journey ahead of him, he and Jesse along with his dad and their "Uncle" Michael Hayes really want to bring back the "Freebirds" when the time is right. In my opinion, this is a very exciting time to be part of WCPW to witness what could be the rebirth of the Freebirds.
IN closing..good luck not only to Roberts Jr, but to all our WCPW wrestlers (veterans and rookies alike) that they may have great and successful careers. Hope to see you all on Sept 26th.

No.. the ladies belt will not be part of the battle royal.
From what we heard so far from Toyota Park, there is the option to buy a package which will include a a meet and greet session with the Hulk Hogan, the Nasty Boys, The Dream Team, Jimmy Hart, and Al Snow. As more ticket information is release, we will post this information as it becomes available.

For those that are wondering about the money in the bank Battle Royal.
It is rumored that on July 10th at Toyota Park, Sam DeCero is planning to have the biggest single ring battle royal in history that will contain men, women and midgets. This is rumored to be the Money in the Bank Battle royal.
Since Toyota Park was officially signed and announced days before BOTB21, there was not enough time to remove the match from printed lineup cards that were given to the fans.
