My apologys to everyone for not being able to attend this Saturdays event, while loading a couple of oversize pieeces of freight on a Southwest plane my left foot got sucked into the beltloaders rotating belt and i had to get 8 stitches on the bottom of my second toe next to my big toe. This happened 2 weeks ago and though i had the stitches removed this past Monday, my mobility is still limited, i was hoping that i would be able to @ least work a short match but i am still under the doctors care and wont be 100% for a while.

bad Ring of Honor is running the same night. Why does PCW always do that? Last year at Dream Night and the year before that they ran the same night as ROH.
I know for a fact that booking the Oak Lawn Pavillion is tough because of the so few dates that are available and if the only dates fall on the same dates that ROH run down the road in Chicago Ridge so be it. It has been proven many many times before that companys like ROH, AAW etc. draw from a different fan base from companys like PCW, WCPW, POWERHOUSE, POWW, VWAA, etc. to say SOXFAN that a buiding like the Frontier Fieldhouse in Chicago Ridge which has a seating capacity of say 1400 represents the ENTIRE PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING fan base in the greater Chicagoland metropolitan area is LUDICROUS.
I have posted several times before on this website that there are a huge amount of people - wrestling fans that don't have a clue about ROH, and that is not a knock @ ROH because they do a tremendous job in promoting and marketing their product. There are more folks out there that only know of WWE maybe TNA because of the weekly Television shows and that is all they know and with that being said that core of people far outnumber the so called smart internet fans or cult following that ROH has by a huge ratio.
I.E. -- Does someone like say Carrie Underwood, Garth Brooks etc. advertise a huge show @ the United Center on Rock Stations like WLUP. WJMK, 97.1, etc. Answer is a resounding NO because the folks that listen to the above stations like rock music, some oldies, etc. so if they radio advertise the United Center event on US99 which caters to a country music crowd and hit a few tv spots on CMT, etc. then u are hitting your core crowd. It's not rocket science kiddies. Both shows on the 22nd of Nov. will do well because of that but i'm sure that there will be a couple or few meatheads that wont comprehend a word i just said and thus the cruise control on the brain would be forever stuck on S.O.S. ( STUCK ON STUPID )

A sold out building dosen't neccesarily mean that an event is a money loser, it's not rocket science, it's not trying to find out what really happened to Stacy Peterson or Lisa Stebic its not really about trying to figure out how to end the war in Iraq and last but not least what could us arm chair quarterbacks could have done that could have ley the Patriots have an undefeated season. The equasion is simple be it for PCW, POWW, WCPW, AAW, ROH, etc. if any one of these companys decide to run a town and after the general expenses of building rental, talent, security, ring set up - truck rental, insurance, and other incidentals if the lets say Mayberry Community Center has a seating capacity of 600 and the break even point on the event is 385 and there is a total paid house of 412 peiple then according to my arithmetic skills that i learned @ Waters Elementery school in Chicago, Jane Addams jr. high school in Schaumburg, my 4 years @ Schaumburg H.S. and my brief cup of coffee that i had @ Northern Illinois University in Dekalb there is a profit that has been made depending on what the ticket prices are. I have stated before that it is a tribute to any company that they are still in business let alone making a profit considering the beatdown the biz has taken in recent years and yes there are still a few young entraupanuers out there who have a mindset that they have a formula to make a guzillion $$ and believe they will take there financial lumps like anybody.

stand up guy? You're right, nobody can get a crowd going better. Really, put nobody in the ring, tell them Eric Freedumb won't be there.. that'll get a lot of crowds going.
All hype and doesn't deliver.
Not 100% sure of the context of INDYROCKSTARS thread but i have seen it and have been in the ring with Freedom a few timesx myself and he can pop a crowd with just doing good old school style of working and not delivering the usual 3 spots, superplex off the top rope and hurricarana off the top of the high school gym bleachers and the guy still kicks out @ one or two and this is all in the first 3-5 minutes of most of what is out there today. I would never have an issue with putting Freedom on any show because the man brings a lot to the table besides fruit loops and boosts morale in the dressing room.

I'm sure he's "snowed in", he just realized he'sworking pcw. I wonder how the audience is goona be, and ya know that's not counting the snow either, you just suck. u
Totally out of line on your comments Crimey. somedays Crimey u seem like an ok guy but there are times like this in regards tio your smart arse comment that u revert back to being an idiot. I worked last nite @ Midway in the bucket deicing planes and just about all Louisville flights were canceled, delayed, or diverted so trust me driving down I-65 is not like driving on a typical July summer day so the next time Criimey take a bit of advice that i am going to give u and think through what u are going to say and/ or put in text. I have been guilty of that myself a few times and i am man enough later on to say that maybe i was out of line on what i said or put in text.

would love to see the indy, but your stupid to try and compete with Ring of Honor on the same night. mabye if you postpone the event till next week, than you will have a bigger turnout OK Barry to bring u up to speed there has been numerous occassions in which wrestling company A and wrestling company B in the Chicagoland area ran the same night against ROH and in each situation both companys including ROH drew well. ROH and companys like VMAA, PCW, WCPW, AWA SLAM, POWW, POWERHOUSE, etc. have entirely different fan bases and though i do not mean to insult ROH there are thousands upon thousands of wrestling fans in the Chicagoland area that don't have a clue about ROH or what they are all about because Barry if u have not noticed Chicago is the 2nd or 3rd largest population based city in the USA. Barry u honestly can't believe that a 1500 seat building such as Frontier Fieldhouse represents EVERY PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING FAN in the Chicagoland area i guess u can compare your comments to taking a shot glass of water out of Lake Michigan and saying that u emptied out the lake.

1100 S. Mackinaw? Shouldn't it be 11100 or 11000 S. Mackinaw?
I remember an outdoor show for them back in the 80's. There was a row of port-a-potties on one side, action spilled out of the ring, and a wrestler was slammed against one of the toilets, and 1 minute later some guy comes out of the toilet acting all dazed and confused, really funny, but you probably had to be there.
1989, it was a match between Buddy Rose and Doug Somers against The Terminators in which the Terminators chased Rose and Somers into the porta pottys, definitly a good toon spot for what i remember was a low attended event. Ed Wiskowski ( Colonel Debeers ) put over Rockin Randy on this event as well as Debeers who felt that Randy wasn't a worthy opponent did an angle where he collected money from the crowd and collected i think close to $300 in which he would give to Randy if Randy went over and after about 5 minutes or so Randy went over Wiskowski and it was a great pop from the crowd.

Against IWA, KOTC, and ROH, this show shouldn't draw more than 75.
Twan my man with the Chicagoland area having an enormous population in the millions are u saying that the building capacitys for ROH, IWA, and KOTC represent ALL of the wrestling fans of the greater Chicagoland area be it the smart internet marks or caual marks ?
Kind of a brash statement to make Twan because this type of multiple shows on the same day has happened on several occassions through the last several years and the end result is that all of these companys drew well because of there unique fan base and again that goes back to smart marks and the caual or non smart mark. Not to insult those that are a part of IWA, ROH, KOTC, PCW, WCPW, AAW, POWW, etc. but there are a huge amount of people in the Chicagoland area that know of only one wrestling company and that is the WWE and the vast majority of those people do not know what the aftermentioned companys that i mentioned are all about or who they are, so there lies your fan base that u want to tap into and buy tix to that event but first and foremost is that they have to know that these wrestling companys exist. I will take an educated guess and say that the total combined capacity of the buildings that will house the ROH, IWA, and KOTC events probably is about 3500 give or take a few hundred so again Twan u have to factor in the population base in the Chicagoland area and if maybe just 1-2 % of lets say seven million people are wrestling fans be it smart or casual non smart then you are looking @ 70,000 to 140,000 people that are potential customers to attend any of these events over the weekend and with that being said my Schaumburg H.S. and my brief stay @ N.I.U. tell me that 100,000 people are more the 3500 people. I wish all 4 companys well this weekend and everybody does huge business.

Dejavu, i was on the last event that tookplace in Dixon in 88 or 89 the event featured Dixons own Hurricane Smith ( Paul Smith) and on that nite Smitty took the WCPW strap from Frank "Tank" Melson. The Dixon H.S. gym was jam packed that evening if memory serves. WCPW also did an event prior to this event in i think 88 @ the high school and Verne Gagne and the AWA ran there in i think 87 as i remember working that event against Alan West, Adam' younger brother, lol. Good Luck on the event. BTW the last time i seen Smitty he was the sheriff of either Amboy or Rochelle, Il. in case u may be interested in contacting him to do an appearance.
