Show did about 400 at the Congress Theater and the crowd was pretty good. I show up pretty early and got my ticket, and went in without security stopping me, so I watched stuff for about an hour before the show. Coronas went for $6, which is horrible. They did some interview with Malakai and Cheyenne before the show, which should appear on WGN sooner or later.
4 kids got in the ring beforehand and bounced around. I give it 1/2*, but their selling was terrible. I got a seat in the balcony, but security kicked me out despite somebody else telling me earlier it was open. Whatever.
They had a light set but no English announcer. Ugh. I didn't catch any names due to the Spanish. Crowd mostly Spanish but some gringos here. No Joey eastman, who would have gotten this crowd riled.
1) Cheyenne d. some dude in cowboy gear via Swanton. Horrible. That dude was green as grass and it showed.
2) Rudos d. Technicos 2-1 in tag match. Wasn't much better, with a couple of awkward spots and bumps.
3) Malaki & partner d. Boz & partner 2-1. Malaki won fall 2 with moonsault. boz and Malaki did a SLOOOOW sequence after a hot tag which made me yell "GO FASTER." boz whipped off his mask and turned on his homie, pinning him to win.
4) Rage Technios d. Rudos 2-1 in trios match: I call them Rage Technios because they all came out to RATM music. Mostly fine action.
5) La Park, Marta, Franky d. Lucifer, some woman and another rudo 2-1. Comedy blockbuster of the year. This should have not worked under any circumstances, but there was man on woman kissing and violence, face sitting, Park doing a lap dance, the ref doing an arm drag or two and MARTA getting the rudos to bump for her despite her lack of speed. And that was all in fall one. Marta did super squash on rudos to win fall 1. Triple submission by rudos to win fall 2. Floor brawl broke out in fall 3 with tumbleweeds by Park. marta avalanched the other woman to win the match.
So decent show overall. Please somebody provide names so I can complete the report.
