An event that was originally that was slated to be held outdoors, WAR took cover in the Livestock Arena at the fairgrounds as we brought in Jerry "The King" Lawler! Here's what transpired....
The Ghost dancers (Outlaw Dave Storm & Thunderfoot) def. The Soul Touchaz (Acid Jaz & Marshe Rockett) due to Austin Roberts sneak attack on Marshe Rockett as Roberts rolled Thunderfoot on top for the pinfall.
Special guest Jerry "The King" Lawler def. "Iceman" Jamie Dundee (w/ Suicide King Nickie Sixx) in a renewal of the Lawler/Dundee rivalry.
Rudo Cortez was the winner of the 8-man Boone Co. Battle Royal who was rewarded with a WAR Heavyweight title match later against Steve Boz.
In an upset, Belvidere's own Jason Dean def. Rudo Cortez. Pretty Boy Tony Roberts was originally slated for this match but declined it due to a side injury he sustained as he was eliminated from the battle royal. After the match, Roberts attacked Cortez injuring his knee and forcing Cortez out of his title opportunity.
In the match of the day, Marshe Rockett def. "Acumen" Austin Roberts. After costing The Soul Touchaz their tag-team match, this match was made after Roberts eliminated Rockett in The Boone Co. Battle Royal. Roberts drew the ire of the fans by throwing toilet paper at the crowd and calling them all pieces of crap. After numerous near falls, Marshe landed a stunner on Roberts and the pin. Roberts was toilet papered during Marshe's post match celebration.
In the main event, WAR Heavyweight Champion Steve Boz defended against Pretty Boy Tony Roberts. Once again being the opportunist, Jamie Dundee secured Roberts the Rudo Cortez spot for a title match as Dundee escorted Roberts to the ring. Dundee was not at a loss for words as usual as he guaranteed that the Pretty Boy would beat Boz for the title. Undaunted, Boz had little problem as he defeated Roberts and retained the title.
note: Austin & Tony Roberts, no relation.
