So last night POWW Entertainment raged (no pun intended) into Woodstock and continued to build up to the biggest night of the year- WrestleRage.
Woodstock fans were treated to some amazing action and surprises as all the old favs, as well as some new faces came out to prove why POWW really is the best in the business today.
To kick things off M.O.B.'s Trevor Blanchard with Jade by his side came out to face off against Chris Chaos. Blanchard confronted Chaos before the bell and told him that HE was the reason Chaos was invited back into the POWW locker room, and offered him a spot in the M.O.B. Chaos took the offered shirt and with an act of disdain threw it away, starting off the match between the two. Chaos seemed to have Blanchard well in control for the brunt of the match, but with Jade distracting the ref from the apron keeping Chaos from making the pin, Blanchard was able to capitalize nailing a DDT and putting Chaos away.
Joey Eastman then came out to the ring to interview POWW Commish Rick Paradise about POWW Owner Jimmy Blaze's state of mind, as well as what Paradise's involvement in 'Rage would be. Paradise assured the fans that Blaze was as of sound mind as someone "Psychotic" could be and that he, Paradise, would always be part of 'Rage.
Next up came the POWW debut of The Great Malaki with The Great Cheyenne and a cloaked figure taking on Matt Mayhem with Mikey Wild. Malaki startled the fans by lighting his hands on fire and walking among the crowd before extinguishing himself and entering the ring. Malaki and Cheyenne both countered Mayhem's speed advantage with freakish strength and a numbers advantage, as Wild seemed reluctant to move to counter the evil duo. Mayhem looked to have Malaki finished off with a Texas Cloverleaf but Cheyenne climbed up to the apron to distract the ref. Mayhem confronted her and as Malaki charged from behind, Mayhem ducked sending Malaki crashing into his wicked cohort as Mayhem scored a crucifix pin for the win.
As Wild Mayhem celebrated in the ring, Jimmy Blaze came out to apologize to Mayhem for assaulting him in Iowa last week, saying the stress has been getting to him, and he took it out on the wrong people. He offered his hand to the two men, and they all shook as Regional Champ King Kanoa and his Queen, Melanie Cruise came out to the ring and the Royalty of the roster told Blaze they were sick of him whining and that tonight in Woodstock Cruise was going to kick his hind-end. Blaze said there was no point in waiting til later in the night, and they should get it done now, asking Wild Mayhem to leave, he called Cruise into the ring, and the match was underway.
Cruise and Kanoa targetted Blaze's left leg, taking it out from under him and keeping him trapped on the mat for most of the match until a slight misstep allowed Blaze to get back on his feet and despite his bum wheel he got on the offensive with an FU. Cruise crawled to the corner and called the ref over to check on her claiming she was hurt, opening up Kanoa to slide in behind the ref's back and nail Blaze with the Lei'd to Waste before ducking back out as Cruise got the 1-2-3.
Justin James and the M.O.B. came out to the ring to mock Blaze for losing to a girl, Blaze retaliated by letting James know he'd have the chance to do the same as he would be facing Sara Del Rey, returning to POWW, on Oct 18th in Woodstock. James claimed he was unable to wrestle because he got hurt while walking his dog. Blaze then told James that if he didn't get in the ring on the 18th, then he'd have to wrestle in a dress when he did return, and since he is injured, Black Iron will have to face off against Scott Spade and Ruff Crossing in Fox Lake on his own in a handicap match.
X-Con and Dehok with James Staublein got their Tag Title shot against Outta Control (Joey Cece and Terry Allen) next. Cece came to the ring with Sandra D, but Allen was suspiciously absent. Commish Paradise came out to the ring to let the fans know that someone jumped Allen backstage and he was unable to make it to the ring, and Cece would have to defend the Tag Titles on his own.
Cece managed to hold his own against the towering big men for a while, but after Dehok broke Staublein's cane over Cece's back it looked like we'd have new Champions. Suddenly Allen stormed the ring and OC nailed the vicious giants with numerous tandem moves and scoring the pinfall to retain the Tag Titles.
Ruff Crossing with Nikki faced off against Black Iron with Trevor Blanchard, Justin James, and Jade in the 5th match of the night. The numbers game proved too much for Crossing as Blanchard climbed up onto the apron following Black Iron getting booted to the outside as the ref tried to get Blanchard to get back down on the floor, Black Iron sprayed the mist into Crossing's face and rolling him up for the pin. The M.O.B. all entered the ring to put the beatdown on Crossing before Outta Control chased them off, leaving Crossing alone in the ring. Claiming he's had enough of the M.O.B. he called Jimmy Blaze out to the ring and said that they've both had their issues with the M.O.B., but then again, they've both had issues with each other lately as well.
As the two men regarded each other the POWW sound guy came out to the ring and told the cowboy and the owner that he's had enough of sitting back and watching as the two friends bickered back and forth, over what in the end, is a dispute over a girl. He told the two to get over their differences and came back together as friends. The two men shook hands, and Blaze and Crossing told the sound guy- DJ Donny Dynamite, that they were impressed with his courage to step into the ring with them, and if he feels he's up to it, he can join Crossing as 2 of the 4 men who will face off against the M.O.B. at 'Rage. Dynamite accepted, leaving two spots remaining for the big match.
For the main event it was Chris Cairo in the Freedom's Challenge Royal for a rematch for Freedom's World Title.
Cairo entered the ring first, followed by his first opponent Black Iron, Iron was quickly eliminated.
Trevor Blanchard came out next followed by Joey Cece and Mikey Wild.
Cairo and Cece eliminated Blanchard.
Terry Allen came out, followed by Dehok, and The Great Malaki.
Malaki eliminated Allen.
Dehok eliminated Cece.
Matt Mayhem , Ruff Crossing, and Kanoa all came out.
Kanoa eliminated Wild.
Jimmy Blaze came out and teaming with Crossing eliminated Malaki, Kanoa, and Mayhem.
Cairo eliminated Dehok.
Blaze told Crossing that the two should do the right thing, and the duo eliminated themselves, looking like Cairo would have the rematch.
Mr. Ricolo's music hit and after taking off his jacket Ricolo told Cairo that he wanted no part in the match.
Then referee Bob "Pee Wee" Parrella's music hit, and he said the same thing.
Melanie Cruise's music played and she stormed out from the back knocking Pee Wee into the ring post. Cairo knocked Cruise out the moment she hit the ring, but with Pee Wee down on the floor Kanoa slid into the ring and nailed the Lei'd to Waste, throwing him out of the ring and alerting Pee Wee to Cruise being the last one in the ring, giving her the win, and robbing Cairo of his rematch ending the night on a disappointing note for "The Lost Soul".
