On October 25th Pro Wrestling Phoenix continued to raise the bar in excellence with an incredible event that has been dubbed, Night of the Rebel 2. Here is what took place: *“Babyface” Tony Cortez defeated Jaysin Strife. * Stephen Saint picked up a victory over Joey Daniels. * Arya Daivari got the win over Donnie Peppercricket with the Magic Carpet Ride. * “Number One” Brett Young defeated Chris Havius, although not without hooking the tights. * The third time was the charm for the Northstar Express, who beat the LONRs’ to WIN the PWP Tag Team Titles! * Vic Victory beat Hype Gotti. * “The Anarchist” Arik Cannon defeated “The Passion” Zac James. * And in the main event, after 3 years of chasing the PWP Heavyweight Title, “The Rebel” Jeremy Wyatt has FINALLY reached his goal. In an incredibly hard fought contest, “The Rebel” was able to pin the massive Abu Colossus to become the new PWP champion. PWP events have NEVER been better, so if you haven’t been checking them out, you are truly missing out, do yourself a favor, and make plans to join us for our next event: Friday November 21st at the National Guard Armory in Council Bluffs, IA. Full lineup coming later this week, however we can tell you that both Jeremy Wyatt and The Northstar Express will be defending their newly won titles. When the show is named after the guy, one would think he's going to win the main event.

Tobi, This show was originally titled and advertised as PWP "Live!". When Wyatt won the belt and the show was wrapped up, it was then dubbed "Night of the Rebel 2."

My memory is it bit hazy on the date, it was sometime in late 06 or early 07, but the Rebel Jeremy Wyatt lost in a title match against the current champ at the time, Tony Cortez It was Wyatt's 1st shot at PWP gold and it was booked as the main event of the show, so PWP dubbed it Night of the Rebel 1, I believe.
