New Championship Wrestling presented yet another event from Greenup Illinois Municipal Building tonight (November 8th, 2008). The event has yet to be named, but I wanted to jot down some quick results and hit a few key notes about what happened during each match, for those who might be interested. That said, the capacity crowd was somewhere around 40-60 for paid audience, I'd say. Not a firm number, but it's an estimate. New Championship Wrestling also utilized some major production upgrades on this show, using various new gadgets to improve wrestler entrances, show lighting, and even the recording process.
Now, down to the matches.
This is a re-match from an encounter that took place last month in Terre Haute Indiana where Aaron Tell was virtually squashed. Aaron Tell challenged Derek Vaughn to an impromptu match even though he was already scheduled to wrestle. Tonight he managed to get in a bit more offense then his first go around, but in the end he fell victim to Derek Vaughns power and came up the loser of the contest.
Both females demonstrated some fine in-ring work, with Destinee Blade getting the victory. Post match, Alex Castle joined fellow Project Mayhem partner Camron Starr in destroying Destinee Blade.
Not too sure on this match as I was getting ready for my own, I do know that Team Round N Pound went over though.
Alex came to the ring first, as Jorden Vandal then made his entrance. Vandal posed for the crowd as from behind a side curtain Alex's partner Christian Rose nailed Jorden in the back with a steel chair sending him face first into the ring post. Jorden was badly busted open and basically destroyed for the length of the match. An almost out of now where "Crippler Crossface" submission and Jorden Vandal picked up the win for his team.
Due to getting cleaned up from my match I again did not see this match though I know that GT Vega was successful in defending his "International Championship."
I had to leave the show by this point, but I know that Austin Advent failed to win his match as he was knocked unconscious by Christian Rose who was doing what are described to me as "Kawada Kicks." If you're un-aware of what those are, Christian held the back of Advents head, pushing him into nearly a bent over position as Christian rapid fire kicked the forehead of Advent until he was unconscious.
Again, not sure how this match progressed but I do know that Kenny Taylor managed to pick up the victory and retain his championship.
