Dumb question- but I'm curious how this event was logistically set-up since I didn't go.
Was Flair signing autographs while the show was going on? Was he in a different part of the arena...in a different room? Or just off to the side? Were the people who were in line for Flair able to watch the matches going on?

Were the people who were in line for Flair able to watch the matches going on? if it was like Dream Nights then it was the ring in the first 3/5 of the place with bleachers and chairs and the other 2/5 would have Flairs table way in the backwith a long and winding line for autographs and such

actually flair was in a different room and the line was setup so you could still see the action going on in the ring. The only thing I would have suggest wass that during one of the matches they should have had a brawl go over by where the line for flair was to spark fans that were waiting in the line. The only thing I heard flair complain about was getting large black coffee with splendar

From what I've been reading, it seems that by the time I got to Flair, he was a little irritated. If in fact his limit was 3 hours, and he was asking for PL in an irritated manner, then he might have been there longer than expected. I don't know if anyone in the front or middle of the line can share his mood when they got in for their autograph? I got in there and out around 9:30, and there were still superticket holders behind me. So maybe he was pissed it was taking so long....no idea.

Listen up kiddies....one of the biggest nights in Chicago Sports History was when Bobby Hull got his 50th goal at the Stadium. This was before the NHL got to be the watered down league that it is now. There were literally thousands of people outside waiting for him and he signed every single person's program...piece of paper...whatever. He signed until everyone was satisfied. It took hours and he did not moan or b*tch or charge a cent. That is why he still is a class act. To have to pay somebody big bucks to show up and to charge for the autograph and then have the person b*tch about it simply rubs me the wrong way.....so ends my lesson the the day...

This is from the Observer site today --- --Ric Flair was in Chicago on Saturday night for PCW. Didn't get a crowd number but there was a long line of people to pay $75 to get an autograph and photo. Flair spent less than five minutes in the ring speaking, and never mentioned Reid, who wasn't there although he had originally been advertised to make his debut on the card before it was canceled earlier in the week (thanks to Rich Koz)

I know former Cincy Reds owner Marge Schott said that but I didn't know that Bobby Hull did too. Then again, I couldn't tell you a darn thing about hockey. Never watched a game. Never will watch a game. Turn off Sportscenter when hockey highlights come on...so it is very possible that he said it too.

Source: PWInsider.com
-- The Charleston Post Courier has a article about Reid Flair's upcoming debut. In the article, Ric Flair claims Reid the original debut at the PCW event in Chicago was cancelled due to a "gum infection". Reid was actually already training at Harley Race's school in Missouri over the weekend when the event was supposed to take place.

As far as Hull goes, I found this. Who knows and I do not want to get this pcw thread any more off topic talking about a 10 year old story. PLUS: HOCKEY; Bobby Hull Denies Report Published: August 27, 1998 Bobby Hull has strongly denied that he told an English-language newspaper in Moscow that Adolf Hitler had some good ideas and that the American black population was growing too quickly. The statements attributed to me by The Moscow Times and now republished by other media outlets are false and defamatory, Hull, a retired N.H.L. star, said yesterday in a statement. I will use all legal means against those responsible for these outrageous lies and distortions of the truth. Hull, in Russia for the Spartak Cup preseason tournament, returned to Canada and appeared at a news conference in Sudbury, Ontario, yesterday. He acknowledged that topics such as Hitler and blacks came up in his session with Moscow reporters, but he said they were raised by the journalists, according to The Sudbury Star query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9C02E0DA133CF934A1575BC0A96E958260

During the main. I decided to go take a whiz. Then to my left, in walks Flair. I decided to zip up, since I couldnt squeeze a drop after he walked in. I said to him "Wow, never thought Id get to meet Ric Flair in the mens room." To which he replied "How bout that kid," and shook my hand. So ya see, he wasnt worried about it being 9 oclock or what have you. The man had to go. I swear to God that is a true story.
