1. Bill the Butcher def. Matt Riot & Darin Waid
Riot and Waid come out and the match gets ready to start when Bill the Butcher just comes running to the ring without being scheduled for the match. The barefoot maniac makes quick work of first Riot and then Waid with vicious big kicks and mauling.
Ian announces that after the charity show on December 20th, our return to Joliet will be Saturday night January 3rd with three main events. The first of the 3 main events...Bill the Butcher vs. The Necro Butcher!!!!
2. The Yellow Dog w/ Classie Lassie def. Egotistico Fantastico
Yellow Dog is led to the ring this week by his lovely valet Classie Lassie on a leash. She walks him around ringside and the fans scratch his back. Dog gets into the ring and proceeds to hump the leg of ref Junkyard Jones. Ego comes to the ring and the match is on. At one point Dog gets distracted and starts to chase his tail. Ego and Lassie then play keep away and fetch with a dog toy with Yellow Dog. Dog then rolls over and plays dead. The action starts to pick up from their and Ego dominates. However, Yellow Dog hulks up and makes a comeback with huge Paw strikes. Ego regains control and is ready to go up top for the pin when Classie Lassie jumps onto the apron and distracts Ego. Ego turns around into a superkick from Dog and gets pinned. Yellow Dog and Classie Lassie came out during intermission and the fans got to pet Yellow Dog some more. 3. Trevor Murdock def. DJ Hyde in first round of the RSST
Trevor advances with the Top Rope Bulldog onto a chair that was laying in the ring.
4. Roderick Strong def. Jon Moxley in the first round of the RSST
Moxley was very impressive in his debut. Almost had the intensity of Sami Callihan. Was very competitive in the match and had several near falls and worked a vicious crossface chickenwing. Roderick gets the victory however with a vicious back attack and wins via submission with the Strong Lock Boston Crab.
5. Sami Callihan def. Trik Davis in the first round of the RSST
Sami was a man on a mission in this contest but Trik would not quit. It took 3 Koji Clutches before Sami finally got the win via tapout.
6. Nick Gage def. Michael Elgin in the first round of the RSST
Gage was very dominant again vs. Elgin almost like their first encounter. Gage gets the victory with a Chokebreaker. Gage suffered a concussion though during the match and after returning to the locker room, he was very dizzy, threw up and was definitely not in any condition to continue in the tournament.
7. Jason Hades def. Troy Walters w/ Kimberly Kash to retain the IWA World Light Heavyweight Title
Troy Walters nearly pulled off the upset with a lot of help from Kimberly Kash tonight. Every time he was in trouble she would interfere or distract Hades. Hades tries to pull Kash into the ring allowing Walters to come from behind with a low blow and a small package for a 2 7/8ths count. Hades recovers and knocks Walters into Kash sending her to the floor and then hits the Killswitch for the victory.
8. Roderick Strong def. Trevor Murdock to advance to finals
The tag team partners pretty much kept to a straight wrestling match in order to keep harmony for their tag team tomorrow night in the Candido Cup. Well kept harmony compared to the next match but I'll get to that in a moment. Hard hitting contest that kept to the ring and Roderick gets the win after Trevor misses the top rope Bulldog attempt and Roderick then drills Trevor with a Yakuza Kick for the three kick. It took Trevor a couple of minutes to get to his feet afterwards.
9. Sami Callihan def. Michael Elgin to advance to the finals
This was my match of the night. This might have been my match of the year. My notes from this match are as follows in my notebook: G.D. Sami came to the ring and Mike Z was about to announce that he was going to win by forfeit due to the concussion suffered by Gage. Elgin comes to the ring and Sami says "you better be here to congratulate me and then go get ready for Candido Cup." Elgin says no and Sami shoves him. They exchange shoves and then the sibling rivalry of sorts is on. They brawled onto the stage. They brawled to the concession stand where Elgin slammed Sami onto the cooler that holds the drinks. Elgin chopped Sami with the most vicious chops I have ever seen. They went toe to toe right in front of the stage punching each other in the chest. The crowd was on their feet for the entire match and Sami finally gets the win after a five minute exchange of killer near falls at the end of the match. Standing ovation from the crowd that was well deserved for the immense beating that these two put on each other. I have said it before and I will say it again...I love the tag team of Grits N Gravy. If I decide to ever manage full time again, the first people I am going to try my ass off to recruit is these two. I definitely see a BMFers 2K9 to them. Wow is all I can say to sum up this match.
10. Dingo def. Drake Younger to retain the IWA World Heavyweight Title...Drake can't get any more title shots as long as Dingo is champ
Drake attacked before the introductions even started. As soon as Dingo took off the belt the fight was on. Drake dominated the early going as you could sense the desperation from the challenger. Drake was pulling out all the stops and Dingo was hanging on trying to weather the storm. After 10 minutes or so, both men fight for a backslide and both go to their knees. They get tangled and both end up going down into a backslide position for another double pin. The crowd was like the movie The Best of Times with Kurt Russel and Robin Williams and my favorite line from the movie when Kurt Russel said "Jack, half the people are here to see you catch the ball...the other half are here to see you drop the ball again..." The crowd was torn on who they wanted to win but they didn't want it to end in a draw. Ian restarted the match and Drake again went fast and furious with the near falls. Chairs got brought into the ring. Dingo throws a chair at Drake and the legs of the chair hit Drake in the side of the head. Dingo then grabs a chair and goes up top and hits a chairsault for the pinfall.
The Yellow Dog and Classie Lassie come out to the ring and Yellow Dog starts humping Dingo's leg. Dingo pets him and scratches his back and Dog and Lassie leave. Jason Hades comes to the ring. A dejected Drake tries to leave the ringside area but Ian and Dingo convince him to shake Dingo's hand. Jason Hades then grabs the mic and tells Dingo that the one of the only people to beat Dingo in IWA this year is him and he wants to start the new year by doing it again. Dingo claims beating Hades will be a walk in the park and the match is made.

11. Roderick Strong def. Sami Callihan to win the 2008 RSST
Roderick stood in the doorway watching the Elgin/Sami match so he attacked before the bell even rang. He knew that Sami was just in a war and didn't have but 20 minutes or so to regain his breath and prepare for his third match of the night. These two beat on each other in the ring and on the floor. Sami wouldn't back down but in the end, he just couldn't shake off the match vs. Elgin. Roderick wins with the Strong Hold Boston Crab. Afterwards, Roderick tells Sami that any time he wants a rematch all he has to do is ask.
Also, the IWA Strong Style Title is no more. Other announcements on IWA titles are forthcoming.
