Canceled
Since the official word on Manifest Destiny has come in, the Board has decided that VWAA will hold off on Studio shows until further notice.
"We love our studio shows. They've produced many amazing matches and memorable moments, (Including the 2007 and 2008 Match of the Year Winners) but as Destiny rushes up on us, it seemed this was the best decision. Don't worry though, they will be back." - VWAA Board Rep.

It seems my reporting on the reasoning for the cancellation of this show was lacking. VWAA Co-owner, Frankie V. sent me this as a slight correction."Scheduling of the March 14th studio show could not have come at a worse time as far as our booking for the company goes, as well as another company's booking that was brought to my attention. Manifest Destiny is a huge undertaking for the VWAA. As a result, we have to plan every aspect of this event out beforehand. Recently, we were approved for a new venue for Manifest Destiny 2 that requires an in depth board meeting to discuss all things relevent for the VWAA to move forward. Seeing that there is no real chance for the board to get together it seemed almost a necessity for the studio show to be postponed so we could all get together; however, being the entertaining company that we are, we decided that we would go ahead with the event after all. It wasn't until after that decision was made that the annual Lee Sanders tournament was brought to my attention. I didn't notice the tournament was scheduled for the same date as our studio show since it usually takes place in Rowan Park or a venue in that vacinity. Lee Sanders was a close friend to my brother Jay and I, and out of simple respect to his memory, and to his wife Paula and thier children, I could not have an event scheduled against the Lee Sanders tournament, especially since proceeds from the event are donated to the Sanders family. This being the case, we have postponed the studio show scheduled for the 14th. God Bless the Sanders family, and may the tournament generate a good donation. This is a class move and I agree with it totally. Lee and I and our families were road partners, always traveling to the longer shows together and hanging out. I think about him daily and miss him very much.

The decision is understandable. It's a great show of respect for the Sanders family
