This was originally going to be a benefit show for the family of Rollin' Hard. However, with it being Kentucky Derby weekend and thus the busiest weekend of the year in Louisville, a lot of the old school IWA fans & wrestlers that wanted to be a part of this event can't make it. We are going to reschedule the Rollin benefit to another date when they can make it and be a part of the event.
Saturday night, May 2, 2009
Hartman Rec Center
511 North Collins Street
Joliet, IL
Belltime: 8 pm; Doors open: 7:15 pm
Tickets: $20 & $15
4 Way Strong Style Dance
Eddie Kingston vs. B-Boy vs. Drake Younger vs. Sami Callihan
These four are undoubtedly among the four toughest hardest hitting men on the IWA Mid-South roster and in all of independent wrestling. This is going to be more than a battle for momentum heading into TPI. This is going to be more than a battle for positioning for a world title shot. This is going to be a battle for pride and bragging rights. Eddie Kingston never lost the IWA heavyweight title in a match and this is his chance to show that he is better than the other three and that he is the uncrowned IWA Mid-South World Heavyweight Champion. The other three have the opportunity to prove their superiority and knock the former champion down a peg or two in everyone's eyes including his own.
Ego's Spot in TPI vs. Ricochet being banned from TPI for 3 years
Egotistico Fantastico vs. Ricochet
These two had an unbelievable match at April Bloodshowers Part 2 and now a rematch has been signed. However, the ante has been upped in this matchup to make things a little more interesting. Egotistico Fantastico is fighting for his spot in the Ted Petty Invitational which is very important to him. Ricochet is fighting for his TPI life for the next 3 years. If Ricochet loses a second time to Ego, he will not be able to be a competitor in the TPI for the next three years so it definitely adds extra desperation to Ricochet. He has never held gold in IWA Mid-South so this definitely his biggest match to date and it could catapult him on to a title shot for the IWA Mid-South World Light Heavyweight title if he can get this victory and do well in the 2009 TPI. This will be a night where one man's dreams will come true and another man's will shatter.
Much more to be added to this event in the coming days. Please stay tuned to the message board for further updates.
