Are you sure it was 500 people? I had several claim the number was quite exaggerated.

235 presale 292 walk up 527 total paid 11 comps 538 total attendance including comps. There were less people standing because we had more seats. Moving the merchandise table to the back room and the screen being suspended from the ceiling allowed us to add additional seating. All the ticket outlets were out of tickets by Friday afternoon. Perhaps you should attend a show sometime, our next one is June 6th. Then you can form your own opinion instead of listening to "claims" by "several people". Tickets are available at www.dreamwavewrestling.com

crimey definitely 500 there, i did make the long drive up. the wrestling action was solid but there are some improvements that can be made. a half hourish of promos to start the show was making the crowd a little restless. continued promos after intermisssion, made me bored. if you are going to have 250594334 "security" guys have them do something. barriers maybe? great wrestling action, i just think there is room for improbement with the production.

Agreed 100%. I don't claim to have it figured out. It's really a work in progress. I went a little crazy with vignettes and I was FREAKIN' out when I realized how long they were. Those will be exclusive to DVD next time. The show "opening montage" was 3 minutes and 15 seconds long and really informed the fans as to what happened the previous month, so we're going to keep heading in that direction. The barriers have become a necessary evil. I fought, kicked, and screamed to not have them but due to the crowd size, it's inevitable. I've never ran a show with barricades, I think it makes the fans feel more restrained...however it will become a safety issue eventually so that is going to have to happen. Good points, and I appreciate honest criticism. If we "do what we always do", we will "get what we've always had". Always room to improve. Thanks for coming to our little town to check out DREAMWAVE!

I think that the guardrails are a good idea in theory....but love the fact that the kids are able to express themselves. It adds to the entire show. Yet it is annoying to watch all of the kids race to the entrance ramp. I have NEVER seen a wrestling show that was so family friendly...my 3 year old absoultely loves these shows.

let the kids rush to the guard rail and put out their hands for high 5s. starting with the Cutler-Vega match i stood in the back, and it wasnt just the kids. i saw a couple of fans almost take out the entrance set up taking a shortcut

Just as an innocent observer to this, your walk up sales are extremely impressive. This is the number that makes or breaks a fed. My props to all.

Our guys work really hard at pushing tickets. We feel that once a fan comes, we rarely lose their business. The wrestling fans will come anyways, so our goal is to get the casual fans and the people that don't care for wrestling. Their only perception of "wrestling" is what they see on television, which is neither kid friendly, nor all that entertaining (in my personal opinion). In an intimate environment it's much more appeasing to the casual fan or the person just looking for something to do on a Saturday night.

Dreamwave you once again have my families undivided attention!
Yes there is room for improvement, but from Beginning's to Open Roads... we did notice lot's of improvements!
For starters the entrance way looks real professional, suspending the screen from the ceiling and having directily over the "ramp" is a great idea, plus the added floor space was nice!!
Moving the merchandise booth out of the main area, was a good idea also, although it does make for a tight fit when going to the men's room....
Having the autograph session with the main attraction in the downstairs lobby did make that move much smoother, maybe that would be a great location for the merch???
Also, what happend to the lights on the corner of the ring? Personally I thought that they added a different level of "mystique"!
All in all it was another wonderfully entertianing four hour tour! My kids are in love with the product and it is nice to be able to take them out once a month for just pennies more than the movies.... Keep up the good work and we will see you in june!!!!
