The HWA presented HWA Domination last night at the Exposition Gardens in Peoria, IL.
In the opening match, Ro'Z eliminated "The Gangsta of Love" Andre Heart to win the first annual River City Rumble. The 18 Man gauntlet style battle royal featured some of Peoria's most promising independent wrestlers as well as HWA stars "Bad Attitude" Brian Beech, Utterly Fabulous, Jesse Emerson, "Relentless" Ron Mathis, Mr. Jacko and V-Rad.
In the second match of the evening JT Stahr (with "The Madness" Chris Hall and V-Rad in his corner) defeated international wrestling superstar The Metal Master in what was the best pure wrestling match of the night.
High-flying tag team action was up next as the team of Zero Gravity (CJ Esparza & Brett Gakiya) bested the tag team combination of Shane Hollister and Trik Davis, collectively known as A Call To Arms.
HWA Heavyweight Champion Jake Crist gave Dean "The Dream" Jablonski exactly what he wanted... a shot at the HWA Heavyweight Title.
But things certainly did not end the way Jablonski wanted as Jake Crist was able to outmaneuver the bigger and stronger Jablonski and successfully defend the HWA Heavyweight Title... Brock Guffman will not be happy.
The HWA Tag Team Titles were on the line and the champions The Hybrids were able to cheat their way to victory once again as they walked away from their match with Dave Crist and "Astonishing" Aaron Williams with their titles intact.
"The Madness" Chris Hall would once again end up with his foot in his mouth as he made another open challenge... and this time it was answered by "Bad Attitude" Brian Beech, a man who has been looking to get another piece of Hall since "The Madness" screwed Hardcore Religion out of the HWA Tag Team Titles in Norwood.
Things didn't look good for Beech at first, especially considering Hall had back up in the form of JT Stahr and V-Rad. But their blatant attempt at outside interference forced Joe Kopasz to eject them from ringside. Madness protested the decision but right before he was about to get superkicked by Beech he escaped to the outside and refused to re-enter the ring, leading to an intentional count out and a less than satisfying win for Brian Beech.
Ring announcer and the host of HWA Adrenaline, Doug Devore, conducted a brief interview with the founding father of the HWA, Les Thatcher. Les received a warm welcome from the fans in Peoria.
Then in a brutal main event, "Deja Vu" Richard Phillips defeated Jon Moxley in a Dog Collar Match.
The match was fought in the ring, outside the ring, even into the fans as both men tried not only to win the match but destroy one another.
A bloodied Moxley was finally put down when Vu wrapped the 12 foot chain around his own arm and delivered a vicious Stank Line to Mox and putting the former two time HWA Heavyweight Champion down for the three count.
