Summer - Slammed official card and statements
Ryan Phoenix vs. Prince Ali
Ryan Phoenix has been voted #1 in the NBS 25 ranking the top
wrestlers of Central Illinois and continues to dominate central
Illinois wrestler. Most recently Phoenix has joined the IWA Mid South roster and will be looking to turn heads in this years annual Ted Petty Invitational Tournament.
Prince Ali has traveled the country but is no stranger to
central Illinois. Ali is a former New Jersey Pro light heavyweight
champion and currently is one of Dragon Gate USA wrestling top
prospects. He now ranks #312 in the 2009 PWI 500.
Prince Ali and Ryan Phoenix have meet numerous times in their
respected careers and look to settle the score with one another once again this Sunday.
Jason Hades vs. “Phenomenal” Kyle Rich
Jason Hades is the current IWA Mid South light heavyweight
champion and just recently returned from competing in the annual
Chikara young lions cup.
“Phenomenal” Kyle Rich is just that…Phenomenal. With his “strong style” mentality and his passion to succeed Kyle has been able to leave a mark on every roster he has been on. Memorable matches include his no rope barbed wire match, countless latter matches with the areas top talent, and his epic battle with indy wrestling star Arik Cannon.
Kyle makes his return this Sunday but it will be no easy task and
Jason Hades is no walk in the park. Can Hades continues to put his
opponents away? One thing is certain and that is Kyle will not go down easy. Expect a hard hitting “in your face” battle this Sunday!
“Unbelievable” Andy Roberts vs. “catalyst” Cory Carter
Andy Roberts was named Next Generation Wrestling rookie of the
year in 2007 and continues to open eyes and turn heads. A true student of the game and rising star in every sense of the word.
Cory Carter or better known as TripC is known for his vocal
antics and win at all costs attitude. His “shut your face” catch
phrase and “winner” persona has put him atop the central Illinois
wrestling scene and is one of the best “talkers” the area has to
offer. Most notably TripC is responsible for bringing the likes of
Andy Roberts, Kyle Rich, Ryan Phoenix and many others into the world of professional wrestling.
This Sunday is truly a teacher vs. student battle. Andy and TripC
were the best of friends in the wrestling world for many years and
even competed week in and week out as key members in one of central Illinois’ most dominate groups in history, “the new era”. TripC’s heel ways were just too much to handle for Andy however and after time the two not only grew apart but became bitter rivals. This Sunday is years in the making however the question is will TripC be able to beat oneof his best students? Or will Andy take the “torch” from TripC and step out of TripC’s shadow once and for all?
Also see the “man of 1000 dances” Stumpy and making their central
Illinois debuts The “Unpredictable” Calypso and Mason Conrad…
Don’t miss all the action this Sunday live at 3pm at Crusens II on
Farmington Rd. This is an all ages event and is ONLY $5. And as a
bonus Crusens will be showing the WWE Summer Slam pay per view starting at 7pm. ……card subject to change
