This year the VWAA family has decided to give back to the local community by doing a toy drive for the Association House at their final show of 2009 on December 5th in Oak Forest. Please bring a NEW toy to the show and receive $5 off of the general admission price. It's a wrestling show, so why not bring your favorite pro-wrestling action figure? You'll make a child in needs Christmas a little brighter. Association House is a great organization that with a 110 year history in Chicago. They provide over 30 different programs and services to over 20,000 people in need each year. Their website goes into more detail on the programs and services offered (see the link below). Much like Toys for Tots, Association House distributes the donated toys to low-income children and families over the holiday season and has been a tradition since their founding in 1899. Many of these families are living on wages well below the national poverty line. The toys will be given directly to children in the local community. To learn more about the organization that the VWAA has chosen as this years recipient for the toy drive go to the Association House of Chicago's website at www.associationhouse.orgHope to see you all at the show on the 5th!

HAPPY BLACK FRIDAY EVERYONE! Even though I'm weighed down by Turkey and stuffing, I've been following some DoorBusters all morning, just for you guys.
The Board just returned from their respective holiday celebrations and have jumped right back to work on Volatile.
First off, there will be a Battle Royal to determine the #30 entry into the Resolution Rumble (Oak Forest, Jan 9th 2010)
Next, we will see 2 feuds come to a head. Willie "Da Bomb" Richardson will once again, get his hands on "Old School Brawler" Rick Walsh. Everytime these two have hooked it up, they've shown how being a student of the game can truly influence strategy in the ring. and... Hunter Paine returns to Oak Forest and looks to finish Ovirload once and for all. The Board has been debating over some huge details for this match. One of which involves a suggestion from Paine's manager, Johnny Wild, and another has something to do with a "prize" afforded to the winner... I'll have to keep my ear to the ground to figure this one out.
Finally, After the showing of and response to their DWF match, the Board has decided to mix in members of The Super Sons of War and Team Wildside into a 6-Man Mayhem match for Lamar Titan's Circuit Championship. Details are still being solidified, but I'm sure one of the six will be Akuma Okoye. Akuma is in the top 5 ranked AND was the last man standing at DWF after eliminating Titan.

Officially Signed Brawn and Ivan get their 2 on 2 Tag Team Title rematch against Death Walking Terror. I don't know what DY&H has up their sleeves, but it looks like Zigwa has the ear of The Board.
And... Signed to face Lamar Titan for the Circuit Championship 6-Man Mayhem match are Akuma Okoye, Cameron Salem, Joey Marx, and Bryce Benjamin. I realize this is only a list of 5, but the 6th man seems to have been kept under wraps. If I find out more during the week, I'll let you know.
Finally, In Vanguard's FIRST EVER Last Man Standing match, Hunter Paine looks to end Ovirload's game once and for all. These two have been going back and forth for the past few months. At Masquerade Brawl, Ovirload was knocked out cold by Paine in the middle of their Tag match. Ovirload returned the favor on Halloween with a rag soaked in Chloroform. In the LMS environment, they will each look to put the other down for a count of 10. Anything goes. This is Ovirload's biggest challenge to date and the stakes are higher than they've ever been. Their combined rankings points are on the line, which means the winner will be #1 Ranked and gets the FIRST VWAA CHAMPIONSHIP SHOT of 2010. The loser will start at zero. This match could very well shape 2010, its not one to miss.

Just Signed Frank has gotten President Flywheel to sign off on another Frankie Valiant original, The "All I Want for Christmas" Match. The rules of this match are as follows. - There will be Christmas Presents strewn about ringside each containing a "toy" to be used in the Hardcore Match. - Atlas's Hardcore Crown will also be placed in one of the Present Boxes. - Neither contestant will know which box the Crown is in. - In order to go for a pinfall or submission, the competitor must be in possession of the crown.
