AAW-1/15-Davenport, IA- Twins vs. House of Truth

The November 20th show was most excellent. Add in a returning Davey Richards and I'll definitely be making the drive over to Davenport.

This Friday night AAW returns to Davenport Iowa for "Path of Redemption". This will be the biggest AAW event to hit the Quad Cities thus far as the company starts off 2010 with a stacked card that we will take a closer look at below.

The AAW Heavyweight Champion Silas Young teams with former champion "Asskicker" Jay Bradley as they take on the former ROH Tag Team Champions Tyler Black and Jimmy Jacobs. Silas shocked everyone in AAW at the Windy City Classic when he showed his true colors and took a shortcut to defeat Jacobs, winning the title and then defeating an injured Tyler Black to retain the belt minutes afterward. Black and Jacobs then teamed with Shane Hollister last month in Berwyn and defeated Silas and the Irish Airborne in a six man tag where Jacobs was able to score a pinfall on the champion. Now this rivalry goes to the next level as Bradley teams with Young and looks for redemption for losing his title to Jacobs and coming up short in his bid for a title shot against Tyler Black back at the Windy City Classic. Jacobs and Young have a date with the title on the line in just two weeks at "Chaos Theory" and both will be looking to make a statement this weekend. For the first time ever in AAW history a tag team match where all four men have held the AAW title!

The rematch from the Windy City Classic has been signed and it will take place this Friday night in Davenport. Tweek and Dash clawed their way back to a title shot and had the House of Truth beat in November when Truth Martini and Val Malone got involved and turned the tide for the H.O.T. The rivalry intensified last month in Berwyn at "Twisted X-Mas" when Josh Raymond and Christian Able jumped Dash Phoenix in the parking lot before the show taking him out of action and causing his brother Tweek to go it alone in a winning effort over the Chan Clan. Now back at full strength The Phoenix Twins are out for revenge in Davenport. The House of Truth looked unstoppable in 2009 but the Twins feel they have their number and will make history with the first title change in AAW history to take place Iowa this Friday night.

A match up of two very evenly matched young competitors as Trik Davis takes on Shane Hollister. Hollister's star has been on the rise as of late in AAW and he's looking to move up the ranks here with a win over the crafty Trik Davis. Davis a former AAW Tag Team Champion is looking to re-establish himself in AAW and make a statement over the fan favorite Hollister. These two are no strangers to each other and a very competitive and exciting match is expected.

The biggest match thus far in Nick Brubaker's AAW run as he takes on former Heavyweight Champion Marek Brave. Brubaker has tons of potential and has aligned himself with one of Brave's biggest rivals in Danny Daniels. Brubaker looks for a break through performance in the singles division while Brave tries to show he still has what it takes to compete with the next generation of stars.
