This Saturday night AAW ends 2009 in a big way as we present the annual "Twisted Christmas" event. On the heels of the Windy City Classic last month this show is highlighted by two title matches and a big grudge match in the Main Event. Let's take a closer look at the card.


SIX MAN GRUDGE MATCH

By now everyone has seen the actions of Silas Young and The Irish Airborne at the Windy City Classic. Silas is now the AAW Heavyweight Champion and Dave and Jake Crist have sent a statement to the entire AAW lockeroom. This Saturday night it could be payback time as Tyler Black, Jimmy Jacobs and Shane Hollister go into this match not for titles, not to move up the rankings, but for revenge. The Airborne tried to end Tyler Black's career last month with a spike piledriver and then cost Jimmy Jacobs his AAW title belt. This one could get out of control in a hurry as AAW ends the year with a big grudge match that will determine who has the momentum heading into 2010.

There's no denying that the House of Truth have a had a tremendously successful year. They've run through every team put in front of them and most recently scored a controversial win over The Phoenix Twins at The Windy City Classic. Under the guidance of Truth Martini, Josh Raymond and Christian Able have been turning heads in the industry for the better part of 2009 but on Saturday face a unique challenge in the team of Flip Kendrick and Louis Lyndon, collectively known as Aeroform. Kendrick and Lyndon are coming off an impressive win last month over The Northstar Express and are now poised to score the upset and leave Berwyn with the Tag Team Titles. Both of these teams are known for innovative offense and this should be one of the most exciting AAW Tag Title matches of the year.

At the Windy City Classic, Colt Cabana finally put an end to Arik Cannon's 14 month reign as Heritage Champion. Cabana's antics had 'The Anarchist" off his game the entire contest and he scored the win after a quick roll up. Cannon was quick to enact his rematch clause and now these two men will meet once more at Twisted Christmas. Can Cabana continue his reign as champion or will Arik Cannon end the year the same way he started by wearing the AAW Heritage Title belt?


DAVEY RICHARDS RETURNS TO AAW



Considered by many to be the top wrestler on the Independent scene this past year, Davey Richards returns to Berwyn on Saturday night. Richards has been wowing fans with his work in ROH, FIP and DGUSA this year and is coming off a tour of Dragon Gate in Japan earlier this month. Richards craves competition and is promising to end 2009 with a profound statement. Richards has an open contract for Twisted Christmas this Saturday.


CHALLENGE MATCH

Dan Lawrence and the House of Truth have been at each other for the better part of 2009. Lawrence and Truth Martini have a rivalry spanning all the way back to Martini's time in the Michigan Invasion. Lawrence has been left bloodied, beaten and humiliated by the House of Truth and some were shocked when he asked for this match against the H.O.T enforcer Mason Beck. Beck took Lawrence out of the elimination match last month and Lawrence looks to even the score here. Although he will be at a big size and power disadvantage no one can doubt the guts and determination of 'The Party Danimal". Beck had best be ready for a fight.


JIM LYNAM HAS BIG ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR THE AAW/DGUSA DOUBLE SHOT WEEKEND




After a very successful first outing in September, AAW and Dragon Gate USA will be working together again in January as AAW runs the Berwyn Eagles Club on Friday 1/22 and DGUSA returns to The Congress Theater for a PPV taping on Saturday 1/23. It was announced last week that an AAW Heavyweight Championship match will headline the bonus card on 1/23 and this Saturday we can now confirm that Jim Lynam will have several big announcements pertaining to talent and matches signed for AAW's event on 1/22.
